A so so sports bar. I wasn't the biggest fan of this restaurant we came in for a game and there was Trivia blaring during the World Cup. No one was playing this trivia which seemed out of touch. The food was ok, Applebees status. My husband asked to come a second night to try the desert and that was worse than the first night. Restaurant was busy because of event at the SNHU arena and there was not enough staff. We really just wanted out. Also not sure if related to the restaurant but both my husband and my credit cards were stolen after we paid here. We both had to initiate disputes with our respective banks for fraudulent sales. This place was awesome. We were hiking pretty late so needed a spot to have dinner and watch some college football, this looked like the perfect spot. And it was. We're not usually chain restaurant people, but we were happy to know it was a local chain. There were TV's everywhere which was perfect for our group. Service was great all night, our server checked on us a lot and made sure we were happy. She was also a sour drinker which was perfect for me because there were so many great ones to choose from, she built out the perfect flight for me. The food was great and tasted fresh, and the portions were huge. Overall, a great experience. It would definitely be our sports bar of choice if we lived locally. read more

Our first visit was very enjoyable. Our waiter was quite attentive and friendly, he was new and didn't know the menu 100%. But he definitely was incentive and friendly and how we were doing which we appreciate I'm not a beer drinker so I didn't have any of the beers. But it was Sunday night and there were multiple football games going. This is really a sports bar so when you come here if there's any sports on you're going to I'll be hearing them on the PA system We had the smashburger and the taphouse Burger vote for quite delicious. An actual nice surprise were the quality of the default season prize. Definitely recommend giving it a try, especially for burgers, we will definitely come back to try other menu items. Had dinner at Thirsty Moose Taphouse in Manchester with 2 other adults and 3 kids. The restaurant is very large with table seating, a large bar and outdoor seating, as well. We were very comfortable sitting at a table by the window overlooking Merrimack Street and Veteran's Memorial Park. There is an extensive draft beer list in addition to a full bar. My daughter and I shared a Carnitas Quesadilla and Fried Brussel Sprouts. Both were very good. My SIL had the Buffalo Chicken Caesar Wrap-I heard no complaints. The kids had a Bavarian Pretzel which was delicious, kids Fingers & Fries-also delicious and Cheeseburger Sliders from the regular menu. I didn't taste them, but they quickly disappeared. All in all, not a bad sports bar. Nice layout with a TON of TV's (great choice for a game), a draft list that I have to assume is the longest in the area by a wide margin. The bartenders were also very nice and attentive. They are also notably open on Mondays, while most places aren't. Beer pricing seemed elevated. I'd probably just hit up a brewery next time, or perhaps one of the nearby places for a craft cocktail (there are some good options). My side salad was actually quite good. Fresh ingredients, nice balsamic dressing. The buffalo chicken wrap came out too fast and was dry, as such I have a strong suspicion it was precooked chicken that was simply reheated. Flavor wasn't bad though. Wouldn't get that again. The drink menu is in irritatingly small font for how dim the lighting is. Was squinting all night. read more

We really liked the Thirsty Moose. My hangover burger was very well done. It was good quality meat. The naughty tots were amazing. Those alone were worth the visit. The seasoning of the tots were spot on, and the queso was delicious. My wife said her carnita tacos were very good, as well as my daughter's fish tacos. Went there for lunch by myself while serving jury duty. Even though it was a week day and after lunch hours (I got there around 12:45 pm), the place was not that busy for a downtown restaurant. The waitress was attentive when needed and refilled my soda many times without me asking, so that was a plus. However, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a slice of cheddar without red onions or pickles but were on the sandwich anyway, so I had to pull them off. It also came a slice of pickle - why? I ordered cole slaw on the side since the sandwich didn't come with it? Like, what? The cole slaw was bland, had no other veggies except cabbage, and by the time I got it, was lukewarm, also rather bland, but edible. I also got a slice of chocolate moose cake for dessert that was wonderful, one of the best pieces of cake I've ever had - until I got home a couple of hours later and puked the whole meal up. Ok we were a little late getting into town and were starving. The Thirsty Moose Taphouse was right across the street from our hotel. We were a little reluctant to give it a try based on some of the reviews but it was cold and the place was close so we gave it a shot. Can't tell you how happy we are that we did! From the moment we walked in the hostess was friendly and accommodating. We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks and appetizers which were quickly delivered to our table. I can tell you our drinks were not skimpy, the bar tender has a heavy pour and I'm not complaining! We had one of the pretzels for an appetizer and the thing almost filled us up for dinner! Both of us ordered burgers which were outstanding but the fries were perfect, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. This place reminds me of a local bar with heavy wood accents and just the right touch of things hanging on the wall. Also there are a number of large TV all over the place, great spot to watch the game. Can't leave this review without mentioning our server Nicola who did a great job keeping the drinks coming and making secure we didn't need anything else. We came here on a Thursday night with a party of about 27 people. The service was amazing, especially for the large group. I appreciated how willing they were to do separate checks without any issue. The drinks and food came all out in a timely manner. I have been at places where it takes forever with a large group and this place was so great! The general selection of beers is enough to make a grown man cry. I don't come to Manchester often, maybe a couple times a year but this place is everything I want from a Tap house. I'm not a IPA guy more of a Guinness or Coors guy but this place has bomb ass meads and Sours. Also their hangover burger absolutely slaps I get burgers w eggs on them regularly. I was a little worried during my last visit - mid pandemic, as many patrons would walk around maskless after being seated. They reduced the amount of tables but the restaurant want still quit packed because people just go to the bar if there are no tables. The food is pretty good, mostly pub food and chicken tenders. My boyfriend really like the chicken fingers with all the sauce options. They have a handful of vegetarian options.. salads, Mediterranean wrap, hummus and tabouli, fried pickles. This a very much a sports pub kind of place with lots of regulars. There were several staff members waiting when we entered, and it seemed a little awkward as they decided which one of them were going to seat us. Their street parking usually isn't too bad, and they have a great mix of seating (bar, high tops, long tables that can easily accommodate a dozen) with plenty of TVs. Their beer list is also massive and constantly updated. I've been on a cider kick recently- the Downeast and Stormalong are great, if you're curious! The food is...not healthy, but goes great with a pint! I got the poutine- I really liked the gravy, it was thick and almost chocolate-y, with a unique herbal flavor (maybe anise?). It didn't quite come with cheese curds though, it was more like melted cheddar. I also got the Impossible Banh-Mi burger. The pineapple sriracha added a great spicy sweetness that brightened up the burger. Also a fan of the pickled jalapeño, which added a tangy kick.
