    Cheeseburger and rings
    Ken A.

Stopped for dinner and drinks with friends. I ordered a burger and onions rings to try to dull the memory of the last burger, that I ordered down the street out, of my head. This one was cooked to a beautiful medium and it did the trick. It wasn't amazing, but it had some flavor to it.

I still don't know if this restaurant is related to the original Cheers in Boston, but we decided to try it anyway- despite our attempt at not eating at any chains. We were surprised by the flexibility of the kitchen when we ordered something off menu, if it is a chain! The hostess and waitress were both super friendly and very efficient. We chose to sit outside on this hot and humid weekday and were able to pick out a shaded spot. The patio is right on the corner of the street, but it wasn't very busy and we didn't have to deal with traffic emissions. Nice breeze and good food. Just what we were looking for. I ordered the Bruscheta and it was DELICIOUS! Very fresh tomatoes and cheese on a fresh baked toasted baguette/sub roll. The balsamic drizzle MADE this dish. I would order it again and again if I come back here! My friend was in the mood for a BLT but it wasn't on the menu. They were so kind to accommodate her request and made a fresh BLT for her LOADED with bacon! She loved it! What a pleasant experience at this establishment. I would recommend it for a quick bite from a basic menu and friendly workers! Nice location and convenient on street parking !

Sorry for the delay. We were driving through to Maine from Western Massachusetts and came across Cheers. Actually, it was right after the major wind storm and they were the only place open for a late lunch. They have a large space to accommodate couples in large crowds. They did have great outdoor seating with those igloo bubbles, but they fell victim to the storm. Have not been back to see if they are up again, but either way, the outdoor patio is awesome. They have two levels of seating and a large bar area in the basement. Full bar and full menu no matter where you sit. TV's all around so you can catch a game or two or three. Worth the visit if you are passing through.

You insouciantly scroll through your Yelp feed, not particularly sure what you have an appetite for because making decisions is about as difficult as adulting. This, ladies and gentlemen, is my wife to a T. Although, she highlighted this place to me and I was instantly hooked - so, I can't complain too much. Now, it isn't clear to us how long this place has been in our midst. But judging from the lack of photos, I'm willing to bet that it's either not yet well known enough or it's a fairly new place. In any case, O'Brien's Sports Bar deserves far more recognition than it's getting at the time of me reviewing this. I've been to plenty of Irish pubs. Some good, some rather meh. I've only tried one meal so far. But based on that, plus the copious menu selection, I can already tell you O'Brien's is possibly the best Irish pub I've tried food from in a long while. I was quite disappointed when they permanently closed down Waxy O'Connor's in Lexington. But I believe O'Brien's will be a more than suitable replacement to satisfy my yearning for Irish cuisine. So, as the intro infers, we ordered take-away via DoorDash, of all things. Which implores me to bring up this caveat: there's a vast difference between ordering from DoorDash versus what's actually available on the O'Brien's menu via their website. Basically, DoorDash represents a severely gutted version of their menu, in my opinion. Certain items, you just can't order from DoorDash...for SOME reason. A few examples include: the seafood chowder, chicken marsala, and pretty much any burger that's more complex than your traditional cheese burger. Not really a ding against the restaurant itself. I'm just ranting here to state that I really hate DoorDash sometimes. They're as overpriced as they are underequipped. /endrant Anywho, I kept things simple this evening and tried the fish n' chips. Upfront, I gotta tell ya....they give you a shitload of fish! Like...at least 10 to 12 ounces (or 6 huge nuggets), if I had to guess. And whilst the fish itself was delicious and meaty, the batter could have benefited from some type of seasoning. Let's just say...this is the type of fish that requires tartar sauce. Oh, speaking of which.. I didn't get any tartar sauce with my order. No idea why. But it's a good thing we always keep some at the house (and it's the fancy kind, too). Now, their chips are like nothing I've ever seen. The best way I could describe them is....well seasoned boomerang fries. Hey, I don't care WHAT shape they are, so long as they're tasty as hell! Overall, the dish gets an 8 out of 10, despite them forgetting the tartar sauce. We've already decided we'll dine in at this place apropos for a date night. I mean, based on our DoorDash experience, it seems clear to us this will be the only way to experience their complete menu. And I've already got my eyes on the aforementioned chowder, chicken marsala, and/or one of their delicious looking burgers. And then maybe, just MAYBE...we can get some more photos onto their page already. I have a feeling this rating may get adjusted upon revisit. But for now, I'm giving O'Brien's Sports Bar 4 gigantic fish nuggets with tasty boomerang fries out of 5.

The Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Caper Risotto that came with the salmon was just as exceptional as the salmon, and the street corn and real mashed potatoes that came with my wife's steak tips were also delicious, and of course the steak tips are always good! We have both been talking about our meals since we left the restaurant, both meals were excellent, and the best we have ever had, not that their other meals aren't good, but these 2 plates were top notch. We also enjoyed the Arronchini Balls, would recommend them as an appetizer as well. We love O'Brien's Sports Bar, it is one of our favorite places in downtown Nashua!

The takeout service counter up front does just fine, but the bar staff and servers are thumbs down for very delayed service. I missed the happy hour cut off since the bartender took their time pouring drinks & doing chit chat. I decided to walk away and out of principle, spend my money at a different restaurant later in the evening for food and drinks. Lately, I have been trying to convince my group that there are slightly better locally owned places in the area for real food and drinks. This place was good when it first opened in 2012, but it's been gradually declining over the years. The happy hour specials at this location are becoming smaller and the food choices are down to three apps instead of 10 app choices a few years ago. The problem with Concord is there is very little competition for the good beer selection at the same place category. Buffalo Wild Wings has that locked down in Concord, more than other local bars in the City. There is competition in Manchester like at Strange Brew and Thirsty Moose for best beer selections. A Yard House is definitely needed in Concord for better food, better beer selection, and better happy hour specials. Somehow, the Buffalo Wild Wings (different owner) and Yard House in Burlington MA can coexist near each other just fine. I will still go to Buffalo Wild Wings 'GO' locations for quick service sandwiches, fried foods, and bone-in/boneless wings fix.

Statey has just recently opened up, which replaced State Street & while I live in Vegas now this definitely was on my list of stops while home visiting. I finally got to go in last night to check it out. It is very big & kinda open but not too open around the dinning room area. They have plenty of seating on the floor & around the bar. It was great to see Mo a long time bartender still working for them. They were having karaoke night & they have a nice little stage out back for the "maybe soon to be famous singers to perform on". It started @ 7/8pm (can't remember) & went to midnight. No cover charge to get in. It wasn't very packed here on the Thursday night I went, but I have heard that it does get very packed to the point that you may not be able to get in. So keep that in mind when heading over to check them out! I didn't get anything to eat as I was not hungry. My cousin got the fish sandwich with tatter tots. He said his sandwich was good & I had a few tatter tots which were yummy! They still have their famous lobster roll for a crazy, reasonable, too good to be true price! My Mom had asked me to check on this for her as she loves their (State Street) lobster rolls. I do want to go back before I head home to have one as I have in the past & it was very tasty & they fill the bun up with plenty of lobster meat. They have one of my favorite flavored vodkas, blueberry so I was drinking those up. It was nice & cozy in there, temperature was just right. The bathrooms were clean & they have more then one stale inside their rest room so I never had to wait. State Street had less bathrooms & that would make for a long wait when needing to relieve the bladder. I saw some familiar faces while I was in there. Their door guy for that night, Aaron was a really nice guy. Friendly & smiling all the time. You definitely need to check this place out. Stop by for a drink (or two) and/or a bite to eat! I will be back before heading home & on my future trips back to NH!! So happy that they brought State Street back!!!! Thank You!!!
