Have not been to cheers for quite a while. Now I know why. When we got there, they sat us right away...Great! well, they sat us downstairs out back in some corner where we could see everyone coming in. It was like sitting on the floor looking up. Even though half of the main floor was empty, I was going to move but wife said it was fine. NOT! Then we had to wait for the waiter I think he forgot about us tucked away in our troll hole! Drinks were good but that's where it went downhill ordered our meals and had to wait a long long time I ordered the ultimate nachos sounded really good but you can't eat sound, these things were like a plate of roofing shingles, dry, stuck together I think the cheese was hardened roof adhesive and the roadhouse chilli couldn't have been any more dryer it was like trying to eat desert ground mixed with what I thought were beans! horrible!! I took the left overs home to patch a pot hole in my driveway not really I left most of it there, tried to have waiter take them away and exchange them for something else but we didnt see him until he gave me the check. I still don't know if this restaurant is related to the original Cheers in Boston, but we decided to try it anyway- despite our attempt at not eating at any chains. We were surprised by the flexibility of the kitchen when we ordered something off menu, if it is a chain! The hostess and waitress were both super friendly and very efficient. We chose to sit outside on this hot and humid weekday and were able to pick out a shaded spot. The patio is right on the corner of the street, but it wasn't very busy and we didn't have to deal with traffic emissions. Nice breeze and good food. Just what we were looking for. I ordered the Bruscheta and it was DELICIOUS! Very fresh tomatoes and cheese on a fresh baked toasted baguette/sub roll. The balsamic drizzle MADE this dish. I would order it again and again if I come back here! My friend was in the mood for a BLT but it wasn't on the menu. They were so kind to accommodate her request and made a fresh BLT for her LOADED with bacon! She loved it! What a pleasant experience at this establishment. Right place, wrong time. We did order for pickup and hour prior to the restaurant closing and was told it would take 20minutes for it to be ready. After giving an extra 15minutes to arrive for pickup, we were told the food wasn't ready. After a few minutes, they told us that the 1lb of wings that we ordered were close to finishing and only had 4, to be replaced with tenders. That'd be fine, but we already ordering tenders - resulting in more tenders. We ordered steak bits and that was decent. Lastly we ordered onion rings as a fry substitute for one of the orders, and got more fries instead. Sorry for the delay. We were driving through to Maine from Western Massachusetts and came across Cheers. Actually, it was right after the major wind storm and they were the only place open for a late lunch. They have a large space to accommodate couples in large crowds. They did have great outdoor seating with those igloo bubbles, but they fell victim to the storm. Have not been back to see if they are up again, but either way, the outdoor patio is awesome. They have two levels of seating and a large bar area in the basement. Full bar and full menu no matter where you sit. TV's all around so you can catch a game or two or three. Worth the visit if you are passing through. read more

I ordered the special "chicken parmesan ". They didn't brain the water from the noodles so there was about 1/2 inches water in the serving dish. Came for Friday night trivia. I was so excited to find a trivia night on a Friday. Trivia starts at 8pm NOT 8:30 PM from what is listed on their website. This was my first time participating so unfortunately we missed the first two rounds but they still let us play. We sat at a long high table where a big group of customers just left from. No one came to clean the table the whole 1.5 hrs we were sitting there. We had to ask for napkins to clean off the end just for the two of us to sit, the table was covered in food. Not to mention a server never came to take our order, we ended up serving ourselves by going to the bar and ordering some drinks. Thankfully we weren't hungry or we would've starved. Went for a late lunch. Despite a lot of staff people standing around, service was painfully slow. It took 1/2 an hour for our salads to be served. Cleanliness was questionable. The person sitting us did quickly wipe down table & bench seat but pushed the bits of trash onto the floor and didn't collect it. Everytime i got up i had to step over the trash. The salad was tasty and a good size. But will not return anytime soon. read more

Outstanding!!! First time here. We drove from Vermont and googled a bunch of restaurants and we decided on Cheers. Great choice. The bruschetta was the best I have had. The caramel frozen mudslide was to die for the chicken salad was loaded with bacon, cheese and all the goodies for a delicious salad. My husband had the hickory burger. He couldn't eat it fast enough. Finger licking good. Allison was our server and the food was fantastic and the service was just as fantastic. She was awesome!! The atmosphere was great. I would consider it more casual dining. First impression not great since we waited longer than I feel acceptable for server to come greet us, however then noticed she was dealing w/a large table and appeared to be an issue with one of their meals. That being said she was right on it w/them and apologized for her delay to us. After that she was great, right amount of checking in and great personality. Drinks were spot on and food was fantastic! We checked out menu and got ready to order only to find out the grill was out of order so they had no grill items. The waitress was great she offered to help us find another place to get a burger but we decided to stay. The place was nice but it was cold. We got a gyro which was very good but had to ask for extra tzatziki sauce just a bit dry. Onion rings were good not great . Coleslaw was good had a bit of a zing to it . Just horrible. I've been there several times to meet a friend for lunch as she lives in the area. It's very meh. It's Concord so the selection is slim, but mediocre is better than McDonald's.....usually. Unfortunately, on a road trip my son and I stopped in here on our way home from a long weekend. I figured it was bland, but we were a while from home. So why not? Bad move. The food this time actually made my son so sick he had to leave the table and use the bathroom right in the restaurant. I was fortunate enough not to get sick until I got home. The bland, uninteresting meals isn't worth the risk of food poisoning. Pass this place and get a heart attack quarter pounder. read more

Being from Boston I just had to try a restaurant in another state called cheers. It wasn't our cheers but it was still a decent little place, unfortunately like everybody they were way understaffed and items came out slow or together. My wife had a cheeseburger salad and aesthetically I wasn't that impressed, but she gave a two thumbs up and said it was really tasty. I've eaten here now twice I think. For the quick turn around trips to east coast to visit family, it's a spot that seems to be open late (or later than some in the area) and is "familiar" to the family in the area. It's similar to a Denny's type restaurant that I'm more familiar with the on west coast. Service is fine. It's a casual family style restaurant that serves basic American fare. I'd prefer spots like this to just serve basic dishes and be consistent with quality. But instead this place tries to get creative and in my opinion have too many offerings that they shouldn't. One person in our party ordered a nachos platter, but apparently it can be topped with chili, which was interesting. The cheese on the nachos was baked over and not freshly poured on like I typically like on nachos. The guacamole didn't look good and this was probably the first time I didn't ask to try some of it, being a lover of guac. I wasn't really in the mood for anything from this restaurant, but I decided on ordering a bowl of chili. It was not that good but it was warm and I asked them to top with extra cheddar cheese, onions and sour cream. It made the chili edible. The 3rd order was a forgettable garden salad. This spot is fine if you're hungry and want to eat something. But none of the things I've tried here have been very good, and definitely not memorable. read more

I wandered in with my boyfriend on a Saturday night, and the friendly staff took our names as they were full, and it was a 30-minute wait to be seated at 7:00 pm. We waited for a seat to open up and looked around at the decor and the families eating. It was a warm, inviting, family atmosphere, and not super loud. We sat in a booth over to the right of the entrance on the main floor (there's a pub in the basement). Grilled Thai Chicken 9.99 Skewers of chicken tenders marinated in Thai seasoning and grilled to perfection. Served with a spicy peanut sauce We ordered the Grilled Thai Chicken, Sesame Seared Tuna, and a side of French Fries. I enjoyed the spicy Sashimi grade tuna seared rare with sesame seeds and spices but was not crazy about the crispy wontons with greens, pickled ginger, wasabi mayo with a soy drizzle. The tuna alone with the seeds and spices was enjoyable. The wontons didn't taste like they were homemade. They were dry and extra crispy, which isn't my preference but those that like to eat extra crispy French fries may enjoy them. The French Fries were soft and chewy, and that's how I like my wontons too. The Grilled Thai Chicken was seasoned and grilled nicely, and the peanut dipping sauce complimented it nicely. The only complaint was there was not more of them, but it was an appetizer. By the end of the meal, we were planning our next visit and alternative things to try from the menu. read more

Good business model. I ate here for the first time per a friend's recommendation. I'm a vegetarian of 20+ years so, I ordered the asparagus soup off the specials menu and a Caesar salad. It breaks my heart & spirit to send food back but, the soup ended up having chicken in it and no one else in my party was interested in finishing it. The chef personally came out to apologize and see if there was anything else he could make for me. The Caesar was amazing and I especially appreciated how crunchy the croutons were.
