I rarely if ever give 5 Stars but if any place is deserving of such High Praise it's Casey Magee's! The Owner/Manager Matt even stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our experience. We had Fish/Chips and I would highly recommend you consider having them. The fries were crispy and the Fish was delicious. The Guinness was poured to perfection and the atmosphere was straight out of Ireland herself! If you find yourself in Nashua or New Hampshire, this Fantastic Establishment is well worth a visit. Ohhhh forgot to mention, LIVE MUSIC on Saturday Nights.

We found this place because our friends Glitter and guitars is playing tonight. We are so impressed with the food and service. Our server Melissa came over quickly and answered all our questions and was super kind and attentive. I had the Ruben and wow! The corned beef was cooked perfectly. My daughter had the fish and chips and said it was amazing. My hubby had the honey bbq burger. All the food was very good. The service and music was amazing. Thank you for a fun evening out.

Casey Magee's Irish Pub and Music Hall recently opened on Temple Street in Downtown Nashua. The space was formerly home to Revolution Sports Bar & Restaurant, Thirsty Turtle, and Amsterdam Bar & Lounge. The interior here is an open concept with a full service L-shaped bar with seating on two sides of the bar and several high top tables spread out along the walls and front window area. There are 10 flatscreen TVs throughout the bar and a TouchTunes digital jukebox. There is also an upstairs room too. There is also an outdoor seating area in front of the building extending into the street thanks to the City. There are 20 whiskeys here and 12 beers on draft here including Guinness, Smithwick's, Blue Moon, Seadog, Stoneface IPA, Sam Adams, Great North IPA, Bud Light, Coors Light, Dogfish 60 Minute IPA, Lord Hobo Boom Sauce DIPA, Shipyard. As for the food offerings, it's traditional pub fare including wings, potato skins, Irish nachos, flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, steak tips, fish & chips, and dessert (brownie sundae, apple pie). They will be offering Sunday Brunch and Sunday football very soon, with the sound turned on for all Pats games. I stopped by Casey Magee's for takeout recently. During the pandemic, masks are required when entering with a big hand sanitizer dispenser near the entrance. Once seated, masks can come off, as I saw with several bar and dining patrons here. At the bar, I ordered the Traditional Fish & Chips ($16 plus tax), which was ready to go in about 10 minutes with prompt service. The fish & chips were a bit greasy as expected, and very tasty. The 8 oz Guinness battered dipped piece of cod filet was very firm and hot. The golden battered fries had a slightly salty flavor and crisp on the outside. The small cup of minced cole slaw was slightly tangy and accompanied with a lemon wedge, ketchup and tartar sauce provided for dipping. I will definitely return here in the future if I feel like grabbing pub food and hanging out here to catch some football or baseball on the TVs.

A huge fresh fish. Crunchy on the outside; moist on the inside!

Don't get me wrong, I like this place. The bartender was great, and the drinks and beers were…read moregood. The atmosphere is always ok. The problem that I have is with their Reuben sandwich. I'm sorry, but this is the saddest Reuben I have ever seen. The bread is dry (possibly stale), and the Reuben is made out of pastrami, not corned beef - but that isn't necessarily the bad part. I didn't see the sandwich being prepared, but I bet I can tell you their process: toast some bread, no butter, just dry. Now take some pastrami out of the cooler and put it on the bread. Now run that through a toaster oven/salamander oven to heat it (this dries the meat and curls it up), then add some sauerkraut (which had zero flavor) and top it with some form of Thousand Island dressing (again, no flavor). Now, toss that top piece of bread on the sandwich, put it on a plate, and send it out to the customer. If you are expecting a NY Deli-style Reuben sandwich, you are in for a letdown. The Ruben should be served with bread that has been liberally buttered and then cooked in a frying pan (preferably cast iron), which gives the bread a nice crunch. That hot, crunchy bread is now a delicious outer layer to the juicy, tasty corned beef with tangy sauerkraut and fresh Russian or Thousand Island dressing. That's not what you'll get at this place - so move on to something else on the menu. And, almost forgot: no cheese! A Reuben should have Swiss cheese. If you are going to deviate so much from what a Reuben should be, don't call it "Ped's Reuben," call it "Ped's Dry Meat Sandwich on Dry Toasted Bread" - because it ain't a Reuben. Hey Peddler's: you're better than this - try harder, because your Reuben kinda sucks. My wife always gets the fish and chips. She is particular when we go out to eat, but she always likes your fish and chips. So overall: I like this place... but the Reuben... don't order it if you really know what a Reuben can/should be - you will be disappointed. It's a throwback, but the best Reuben sandwich I've had outside of NYC was back in the 1990's at a place called the Dili Dali Deli on Rt 38 in Tewksbury, MA (just about in Lowell). That place was great! Wherever those people who ran that place are today, you should know that I judge all Reubens based on your version of this classic sandwich. So far, no one has come close to the quality you prepared at that little deli, which typically had a counter 3-4 people deep at lunchtime - and you cranked out SO MUCH DELICIOUS FOOD, all with smiles on your faces! You guys were the best!

Our waitress was very friendly and accounted for our need to leave in time to get our tickets and still have a relaxing dinner. We arrived at 5:45 and were able to leave about an hour later, in part because we chose menu items that were slightly easier to prepare. We had the Mushroom Swiss Burger, the Double Smash Burger, the Volcano Burger, and Bangers and Mash. All four dishes were great, and the chef followed the doneness orders to perfection. We all chose to drink a glass of Josh Cabernet (offered at $11/glass, not available by the bottle). Given the price of the glass, and the relatively low price of Josh, I was a bit disappointed in the size of the pour, which seemed minimal. However, the wine was good. Each burger was well described on the menu: the mushrooms were crispy and generous, the onion rings on the volcano were ample and delicious, the smash burger came with cole slaw at the diner's request, and the bangers and mash were very good. This is a traditional Irish Pub, and there was a lot that we did not choose (but will in another visit). The bar is quite noisy, and we were somewhat protected by some privacy barriers. On the whole, a great experience and enjoyable.

It was a little slow cause they're understaffed, but it was a very busy night so I can understand everything came out fresh hot and ready. I like that the broccoli didn't have much seasoning either. Also the clam chowders was tasty and they offer it in a cup or a bowl. The burger was juicy, the pickle spear was yummy, and the fries were well seasoned. I also love the turkey club sandwich. The bacon was nice and crispy and the bite of the sourdough bread was fluffy. I really do appreciate Brittney our server for being so nice and having a great attitude.
