I rarely if ever give 5 Stars but if any place is deserving of such High Praise it's Casey Magee's! The Owner/Manager Matt even stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our experience. We had Fish/Chips and I would highly recommend you consider having them. The fries were crispy and the Fish was delicious. The Guinness was poured to perfection and the atmosphere was straight out of Ireland herself! If you find yourself in Nashua or New Hampshire, this Fantastic Establishment is well worth a visit. Ohhhh forgot to mention, LIVE MUSIC on Saturday Nights.

Casey Magee's Irish Pub and Music Hall recently opened on Temple Street in Downtown Nashua. The space was formerly home to Revolution Sports Bar & Restaurant, Thirsty Turtle, and Amsterdam Bar & Lounge. The interior here is an open concept with a full service L-shaped bar with seating on two sides of the bar and several high top tables spread out along the walls and front window area. There are 10 flatscreen TVs throughout the bar and a TouchTunes digital jukebox. There is also an upstairs room too. There is also an outdoor seating area in front of the building extending into the street thanks to the City. There are 20 whiskeys here and 12 beers on draft here including Guinness, Smithwick's, Blue Moon, Seadog, Stoneface IPA, Sam Adams, Great North IPA, Bud Light, Coors Light, Dogfish 60 Minute IPA, Lord Hobo Boom Sauce DIPA, Shipyard. As for the food offerings, it's traditional pub fare including wings, potato skins, Irish nachos, flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, steak tips, fish & chips, and dessert (brownie sundae, apple pie). They will be offering Sunday Brunch and Sunday football very soon, with the sound turned on for all Pats games. I stopped by Casey Magee's for takeout recently. During the pandemic, masks are required when entering with a big hand sanitizer dispenser near the entrance. Once seated, masks can come off, as I saw with several bar and dining patrons here. At the bar, I ordered the Traditional Fish & Chips ($16 plus tax), which was ready to go in about 10 minutes with prompt service. The fish & chips were a bit greasy as expected, and very tasty. The 8 oz Guinness battered dipped piece of cod filet was very firm and hot. The golden battered fries had a slightly salty flavor and crisp on the outside. The small cup of minced cole slaw was slightly tangy and accompanied with a lemon wedge, ketchup and tartar sauce provided for dipping. I will definitely return here in the future if I feel like grabbing pub food and hanging out here to catch some football or baseball on the TVs.

We found this place because our friends Glitter and guitars is playing tonight. We are so impressed with the food and service. Our server Melissa came over quickly and answered all our questions and was super kind and attentive. I had the Ruben and wow! The corned beef was cooked perfectly. My daughter had the fish and chips and said it was amazing. My hubby had the honey bbq burger. All the food was very good. The service and music was amazing. Thank you for a fun evening out.

A huge fresh fish. Crunchy on the outside; moist on the inside!

Imagine you're at home on a rainy Wednesday evening. The clouds are bleak like your mood, so you…read moredon't really feel like cooking. You insouciantly scroll through your Yelp feed, not particularly sure what you have an appetite for because making decisions is about as difficult as adulting. This, ladies and gentlemen, is my wife to a T. Although, she highlighted this place to me and I was instantly hooked - so, I can't complain too much. Now, it isn't clear to us how long this place has been in our midst. But judging from the lack of photos, I'm willing to bet that it's either not yet well known enough or it's a fairly new place. In any case, O'Brien's Sports Bar deserves far more recognition than it's getting at the time of me reviewing this. I've been to plenty of Irish pubs. Some good, some rather meh. I've only tried one meal so far. But based on that, plus the copious menu selection, I can already tell you O'Brien's is possibly the best Irish pub I've tried food from in a long while. I was quite disappointed when they permanently closed down Waxy O'Connor's in Lexington. But I believe O'Brien's will be a more than suitable replacement to satisfy my yearning for Irish cuisine. So, as the intro infers, we ordered take-away via DoorDash, of all things. Which implores me to bring up this caveat: there's a vast difference between ordering from DoorDash versus what's actually available on the O'Brien's menu via their website. Basically, DoorDash represents a severely gutted version of their menu, in my opinion. Certain items, you just can't order from DoorDash...for SOME reason. A few examples include: the seafood chowder, chicken marsala, and pretty much any burger that's more complex than your traditional cheese burger. Not really a ding against the restaurant itself. I'm just ranting here to state that I really hate DoorDash sometimes. They're as overpriced as they are underequipped. /endrant Anywho, I kept things simple this evening and tried the fish n' chips. Upfront, I gotta tell ya....they give you a shitload of fish! Like...at least 10 to 12 ounces (or 6 huge nuggets), if I had to guess. And whilst the fish itself was delicious and meaty, the batter could have benefited from some type of seasoning. Let's just say...this is the type of fish that requires tartar sauce. Oh, speaking of which.. I didn't get any tartar sauce with my order. No idea why. But it's a good thing we always keep some at the house (and it's the fancy kind, too). Now, their chips are like nothing I've ever seen. The best way I could describe them is....well seasoned boomerang fries. Hey, I don't care WHAT shape they are, so long as they're tasty as hell! Overall, the dish gets an 8 out of 10, despite them forgetting the tartar sauce. We've already decided we'll dine in at this place apropos for a date night. I mean, based on our DoorDash experience, it seems clear to us this will be the only way to experience their complete menu. And I've already got my eyes on the aforementioned chowder, chicken marsala, and/or one of their delicious looking burgers. And then maybe, just MAYBE...we can get some more photos onto their page already. I have a feeling this rating may get adjusted upon revisit. But for now, I'm giving O'Brien's Sports Bar 4 gigantic fish nuggets with tasty boomerang fries out of 5.

We have both been talking about our meals since we left the restaurant, both meals were excellent, and the best we have ever had, not that their other meals aren't good, but these 2 plates were top notch. We also enjoyed the Arronchini Balls, would recommend them as an appetizer as well. We love O'Brien's Sports Bar, it is one of our favorite places in downtown Nashua!

We were meeting family here, driving up…read morefrom Connecticut, got caught in horrendous traffic, and wound up arriving an hour late, 50 minutes before closing, expecting to get the stink eye since there was only one other table that was just finishing up. Instead we got great service, friendly and very efficient, almost like their mission was to--surprise!--make sure we had a great dining experience. We are traveling musicians and often wind up coming to restaurants within their last hour, and believe me this type of customer service is, sadly, not the norm. On to the food. The food! I started with the blood orange martini, very tasty and refreshing after our long drive. Nice basket of warm chewy bread arrived at the table almost immediately, yum! I had the Aracini (risotto balls) appetizer which was delicious and fairly authentic, done to perfect crispness with an accompanying red pepper cream sauce. The forks came out all around and everyone agreed that this app was first rate. My partner had the special salmon entree with dijon sauce, highly highly recommended if this item is on the menu. I had the ginger soy tuna dish with noodles, quite good. But for me, the standout dish was the pot roast ordered by my friend, wow!! I'm not normally a fan of pot roast but the meat was super tender and the sauce completely delectable. I was only going to take a taste, but wound up taking three, and had to restrain myself from taking more, it was so good. My partner can't finish a meal without dessert and coffee, and even though we knew they were probably trying to close up, they brewed some coffee for him and comp'ed us a creme brulee (perfectly done) for the table. Just straight up great service. We've eaten at the Common Man in Claremont and I think somewhere else, and they're always great. I think the Nantucket pie is a standard on the menus and it is a winner--scallops, shrimp, haddock AND lobster baked in a creamy lobster sauce topped with Ritz cracker crumbs in classic New England fashiom. It looks like they have several restaurants and a couple of diners up and down I-93 and Route 3 in New Hampshire under different names, would like to try them all. But it would be hard to resist coming back to this location for another great meal. My tastes tend to run to funky ethnic joints but I would come back to this place any time. Thanks to the staff at CM for making us feel so very welcomed after that long drive.

Our waitress was very friendly and accounted for our need to leave in time to get our tickets and still have a relaxing dinner. We arrived at 5:45 and were able to leave about an hour later, in part because we chose menu items that were slightly easier to prepare. We had the Mushroom Swiss Burger, the Double Smash Burger, the Volcano Burger, and Bangers and Mash. All four dishes were great, and the chef followed the doneness orders to perfection. We all chose to drink a glass of Josh Cabernet (offered at $11/glass, not available by the bottle). Given the price of the glass, and the relatively low price of Josh, I was a bit disappointed in the size of the pour, which seemed minimal. However, the wine was good. Each burger was well described on the menu: the mushrooms were crispy and generous, the onion rings on the volcano were ample and delicious, the smash burger came with cole slaw at the diner's request, and the bangers and mash were very good. This is a traditional Irish Pub, and there was a lot that we did not choose (but will in another visit). The bar is quite noisy, and we were somewhat protected by some privacy barriers. On the whole, a great experience and enjoyable.
