Cozy pub in Milford. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious bloody Mary's. The bartender was also our waitress and did a great job serving the entire pub. The onion soup was very nice. The buffalo chicken wings were disappointing, oversized wings that were not crisp at all. The wings were also over sauced . We shared a burger, which was good and they were nice enough to cut it in half and serve it on two plates. The french fries were also undercooked and not crisp. I've included a picture of the ketchup. Offering this brand of ketchup, makes one wonder about the overall quality of the ingredients being served and the health of the business. i've never been in the restaurant business, and I don't know the financial impact of offering Heinz ketchup, but it seems like the savings realized choosing this brand would be insignificant compared to the message it sends to customers about caring about quality. read more

Stopped in for drinks. Ordered the Paloma, perhaps the saddest Palomq I've ever had. Couldn't bring myself to send it back. Heavy club soda, light on the grapefruit juice and lime. Standard bar vibe. Stopped serving food at 9 pm. Was raining so couldn't enjoy the patio. Will come again I try food. Won't order cocktails; hoping to not go wrong on beers. read more

Huge burgers!! This place does not disappoint in serving huge portions. The bar was nice and lively when we walked in. There was live music and the place was packed Sunday night. My bf and I ordered Ciders on tap and buffalo fingers to start. The tenders were huge and crispy and the buffalo sauce was nice and tangy. We each ordered burgers with onion rings and they really hit the spot. The buns were nice and soft and the medium rare burgers were very tasty. We really had a great time enjoying our meal and the live music. read more

Great little place off the circle in a Milford NH, and I do mean little. Might be 600sf. But it's so cool granite stone behind the bar and as the foot steps at the bar. We stopped for a couple beers and a "picky". Got a boom boom Chicken flat bread with the boom boom on the side. It was really good! They have a great selection of draft along with many bottle & canned beers. We'll be back. What a great view of the Souhegan River way behind the place. Which with all the weather we've had was very high and moving! Want to come in the silver and hang on the deck out back. read more

We sat at the bar we'd ordered a draft beer and perfectly blended margarita. The food was delivered promptly and we enjoyed what we ordered. The Rueben was so big we brought half home to enjoy. Terrible service and business practice. Ordered wings and thought they were awful so I sent them back after eating 1 and ordered a cheeseburger instead. They charged me full price for everything and chastised me for wasting food, further ridiculing me for expecting the food I sent back with a complaint to be comped. To the young bartender with the long dark hair, you should be thoroughly embarrassed of your words and actions, just shameful. You are representing the establishment, not your own views and opinions on someone cleaning their plate. I do not plan on ever coming back and will be actively cautioning my friends to avoid this place. read more

We stopped into the pub for dinner this weekend, the bar was busy but mostly because tables are spread out as are seats at the bar. The décor is very reminiscent of the former Jay's Tavern. The waitress brought us menus a few minutes after we found a table, and took our drink requests. We ordered our meals about 15 minutes later as the server was busy running food and taking care of other patrons (she was the only one working the area). We ordered take out and enjoyed the music while waiting for our meals. Our food arrived about 45 minutes later. The order was pretty simple - a salad, house special (fish), and wings. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but a group of four patrons were seated well after we arrived yet received their orders first. According to their menu, the wings were supposed to be double fried and crispy, which is the way we like them. Much to our chagrin, the wings were not crispy and more like any ordinary, standard, wing with buffalo sauce. Moreover, they failed to include the blue cheese dressing, which was clearly listed on the receipt. We ordered mashed potatoes with the fish but received fries, and the broccoli tasted like it was cooked in a microwave (no seasoning). The fish was well cook but the portion rather small for the price - that's breading on the right. The salad was fresh and had a good amount of seasoning. The cost for 2 beers, an appetizer, salad, and entrée was $58 (excluding tip). read more

Hole in the wall, down an alley, off the circle....to me that is the best part. It feels like a locals spot, which I love too. I had a drink and the chicken-corn chowder. Tasty, just needed a bit of s+p. The space is small and dark, with a patio that is out over the river. I'll be back to try more food....(I did hear the wings are amazing). Seems like a great Sunday-funday or rainy day kind of spot!! read more

have lived in Milford for 17 years. We went there tonight, and I made a joke about drunk Karaoke, and they shut off my entire family!!! I had my father and aunt and uncle with me, we were not rude or drunk in any way, it was a joke! Yet they shut us off, and they were serving a 20 year old that was there. I will not say names, but I knew the person they were serving was underage. When I did let them know, the women bartender said to me(I can't hear you" Then they asked me and my family to leave!!! They absolutely knew that they were serving a person that was under age. We actually asked for water, and they asked us to leave once I mentioned the underage drinker!!!! In my family the youngest person there was 50!!! No one in my family was driving, we live within walking distance from the oval!!! I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!! read more

So let me start by saying that this used to be a favorite of ours over a year ago. We went weekly. This last visit was a huge disappointment as was a couple of the last few visits before this. I don't know what changed but here was our experience last night. I ordered the Beyond burger which is a three dollar up charge for my burger. What I was served was a squishy, veggie burger of some type without being told that it was not going to be a Beyond burger. Also, my tater tots were beyond crispy. I smashed one with my fingers, and it was like dust. I asked for a replacement of those, and the second ones came out almost as bad still not edible. Then when we got our bill, we had ordered one cocktail and one beer. We were charged an up charge for "premium liquor" for the cocktail and charged for a "tall" beer neither of which we asked for. I will say they took 50% off of my burger when I told him I was not happy that it was not what I ordered and that I could not eat the tots. I did not eat 50% of the food. He had no idea what the burger was and had not been told it wasn't the Beyond burger. My friends chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries were both very dark and on the verge of being burnt. All in all very disappointed and will not go back. read more

Finally got a chance to check this place out. Moved to Milford last August. We had a table out on the patio overlooking the River. The drinks and food were outstanding. Fried Haddock Nuggets with onion rings, felt like I was in the coast of Maine. Wife enjoyed broiled scallops and also was impressed with how fresh and well prepared they were. Definitely will return. Sneaky good food. The wife and I needed a place to grab dinner near the 9pm witching hour when most places close around these parts. We popped into this basement pub with low expectations and were more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Guinness and the food. I had Haddock Nuggets with slaw and fries. It was better than what I get in Ogunquit Maine in July. No joke! Wife ordered Shepherds Pie, which hit the mark and was huge. Bartender was great. The place has a all-are-welcome vibe but we noticed that most the folks wore flannel and seem to prefer being friendly. I am sure grumpy folks would be OK there, but people we saw all seemed to opt for being friendly. Side note - I was jealous of the guy next to me who ordered the onion rings. We've been going to this place since it was the original Stonecutters Pub attached to the Milford Diner. Jays Tavern (Red Arrow) was nice, but it's great to see the spirit of the original Stonecutters Pub come back. Staff is fantastic, friendly and always willing to please. Food is awesome!! Great burgers and best Haddock sandwich around! Also, it's the only place ANYWHERE that I've seen tater tots offered. There are always some regulars that frequent the place and the owners often work the pub so you really get to connect with the place and people. This place just feels like Milford community! If you haven't gone, you're missing out! read more

Loved this place. Last three times though it's been rough. Brutal fish smell in the pub last night. Went on the deck and after 15 minutes no one came out (totally understand that - prob no help during Covid). But this is three straight times we've been disappointed. Bummer as we used to totally love this place. Too many options at the oval so we are going to move on. Hope they can get things together. read more
