Came here for lunch and it was alright, I think the dinner menu is better. I had the crispy chicken chipotle ranch wrap and it was just okay, it wasn't really spicy and had an interesting flavor to it. The fries were great and I'm glad I added them as a side. Service was great and I really liked the cheese and crackers they had in the front.

I've had good experiences in other common man restaurants and was looking forward to coming here and I'm glad I did! Restaurant building has a good history to it, warm ambiance and great, friendly service. But the highlight is the food... they give you warm rolls to start and they were delicious. And I had the pot roast, it was melt in your mouth tender and was pure comfort food, it was sublime. BF had the grill room steak and he loved it. Looking forward for my next meal here.

Came here fresh after arriving to Merrimack, NH and received a very friendly greeting as soon as we walked in. We were sat with Violet who was an absolute delight and helped break down the menu. We ordered the buffalo empanadas and sticky meatballs which I both highly recommend. For our entrees we had the smokehouse burgers which were a bit on the tougher side, but still tasty. For drinks I highly recommend their margaritas. Great size, ingredients, and price. The atmosphere is super cute and cozy, would definitely come back to this location.

Stopped in for lunch while in the area. The house has a fun atmosphere and has bits of history all around. The food is served in great quantities as well! We ordered the corn and lobster chowder which was delicious but my only complaint is there wasn't enough lobster. We ordered a couple salads, the Reuben, the tzatziki chicken wrap and a few kids meals. Everything was huge and delicious! We will be back.

My son wanted to find a local place that offered good clam chowder. He discovered this place and gave it a try. The staff were very friendly and were able to seat us a table right away. They told us about the free cheese and crackers offered before we sat down. The cheese was tasty but I didn't want to get too full before my entrees. The restaurant was decorated like the colonial days as the theme. The lobster clam chowder was made perfectly not watery. I enjoy the chunks of lobster added in to the chowder. The mussels we order were good. The sauce to it was ok. I had better sauce in other places. The not escargot was a different twist to it. Cooked like escargot but not escargot. Just cheese and mushrooms. A Great choice of a vegetarian dish. Overall we were happy and satisfied with our craving for the clam chowder dish.

Farm deco resto with friendly staff, good priced food and interesting kid menu! Portions were big too. The lobster corn chowder was delicious, and the pot pie was huge with alot of chicken meat inside. 5 min away from Merrimack Premium Outlets!

On this particular sunny New England afternoon, we decided to try lunch. Well....not *decided* so much as discovering they have a lunch menu; which is very different from their dinner menu. Translation: wifey and I came in for lobster pie, but settled for a pot roast and baked haddock, respectively. As you can probably guess, the lobster pie is a dinner only item. Lunch menu is smaller both in portions and size. After careful inspection, the wife and I decided the two most innocuous meals on the lunch menu were the pot roast and fish. Even though I ordered the haddock, I also got a chance to sample the pot roast and....DAYAMN! No, that's a good "damn" because that beef melted in my mouth like a peanut butter cup. Okay, that analogy didn't make any sense, but you know what I'm trying to say. Still, it was strange. The entire time, I kept wondering how on earth could a place that apparently can't make a decent prime rib.....somehow produce the metaphorical equivalent of gold in pot roast form. It boggles the mind! Be that as it may, we also have the baked haddock to consider. There's two versions, depending on which topping you prefer. I went with the Ritz cracker topping with lemon butter sauce. But it wasn't quite as...mmm....buttery as I expected. It also lacked seasoning. Almost as if they flavored the topping with unsalted butter. Otherwise, I'm not sure how a breadcrumb topping still comes out bland, despite using Ritz and butter. The haddock itself was phenomenal! Seasoning was just lacking a bit. 7 out of 10 for the fish, 9 out of 10 for the pot roast. Oh, each meal came with mashed potatoes and some kind of forgettable veggie, I suppose. And....you guessed it: potatoes needed more seasoning, too. Look, I realize restaurants mostly play it safe when it comes to this. But...*sigh*......guys.. One caveat to considering before entering here: they are understaffed. And it shows. On a half empty house, seating time was 20 minutes. The time to wait for refills on drinks? .... Don't ask. This isn't the first time we've visited a Common Man. The experience was similar though; just okay, nothing too extraordinary. I guess that's why they call it The COMMON...Man! Eh? Eeeeeh? :D Right. I'll just....see myself out now. Common Man in Merrimack gets 3 melting morsels of pot roast out of 5.

Walking in 7 minutes after opening, this place was already packed. Full of Patriots fans hooping and hollering to the end of the fourth quarter. Every appeared in a merry mood, and everyone knew each other it seems. Service here was great. Our waitress whipped around the room with finesse and speed, working the bar and tables all by herself. She was to the point but pleasant. The beers are ok, but they aren't anything spectacular. An average selection of nearby beers of all varieties. Going to other breweries in New Hampshire, I know that this state can produce good beers. Perhaps they just had a mediocre selection the week I was there. We ordered a medley of items and most of it was hit and miss. In the sampler, the pork cracklings were decent, although dinner pieces were hard to chew since they turned into a dense fried bit. The fries were ok, but standard. The tator tot was actual pretty good, but there's this sweetness and texture that makes me think of pumpkin? That could be upsetting to some. The chicken tenders are ok, but the breading isn't seasoned or exciting in texture. It felt like how I would fry chicken at home with only one coat of breading. The pickle chips were good, even though they were not spicy at all. If they called these paprika coated chips, then I would agree. But texture wise, they were actually crisp and not super watery. The pulled pork tacos are ok, but they rely more on sweet barbeque sauce more than anything else. The tortillas are subpar in flavor, but sturdy enough to hold everything together. The veggies slaw did add some nice acidity though. The wedge salad here is terrible. I should have looked up what others posted before I ordered it. It was a literal wedge of plain iceberg, with all the other ingredients and fixings dumped in the middle. The stuff in the middle was ok, but nothing felt harmonious. Just a bunch of salad ingredients added to a giant paper tray. It felt like a waste of 9 dollars for what was lazy preparation.

We were able to park close by and get in before the big crowd. Barley seems like a happening place. An upscale Irish Pub, for sure! The set up is a bar with a decent amount of restaurant booth seating. Of course, there were tables of different sizes available, as well. We were given a 10 minute wait after meeting with the Hostess. There was alot of activity around the bar and lots of drinks coming out of the bar well....always a good sign! When our time was up, we were quickly escorted to our table. We were each given a menu and a drink menu. Lots to choose from on both menus (see the pic below) I ordered the chicken sandwich with caramelized onions and my son ordered a Chicken Pot Pie. He had a beer and we both had water with a lemon. The food came rather quickly. I was immediately taken back when the caramelized onion was not on my sandwich. I was going to ask the waittress to fix it but it was far to busy and it was not a big deal. Of course, I would have enjoyed the onion but "no big deal". My son's Chicken Pot Pie was a good size and was thrilled with it. We both ate everything on our plates. Our waitress checked in with us a few times to refill, which was nice and came to take the plates away after we were finished. We did not get any dessert. To be honest, we did not see a lot of dessert plates coming to other tables, either. We were thinking maybe people leave to get ice cream at one of the nearby establishments. 5-Stars Price: Fair Parking: plenty near by Vibe: perfect...I would like to watch a game, someday, at the bar Pepsi/Coke: Coke Would I come again? Everything our party of four ordered was a disappointment, starting with an ice-tea cocktail that was undrinkable-- our nice waitress took it off the bill. My grilled salmon on a bed of rice arrived as dry as the Sahara, surrounded by burnt roasted carrots -- at least I think that's what they were. My husband's steak he ordered medium rare was also way overdone, served a block of with cold mashed potatoes. The overly sweet Apple Pumpkin Bisque (for $9) went uneaten after each of us tried a spoonful -- it was more like a bowl of pie filling than soup. Even the dessert, bread pudding with some whipped cream, was gloppy and unappetizing. This is a great place to go if you are fasting.
