    Delicious cocktail
    Joanie L.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped in at the bar early evening after some holiday/tax free shopping. It was exactly the vibe I wanted and things were made even better after I got charged happy hour prices which I had no idea was going on (1/2 off apps daily 4-6 I think).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cocktail with bourbon, charred pineapple and ginger was excellent (I was able to get it straight up). Fried calamari was good too tho pretty typical. The pizzas next to me looked good, would check it out again if I make my way back to Nashua.

    Chicken Francese

First time at Union Public House. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe of the place is pretty nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was good. I got the pan fried chicken with broccoli and linguine. However, the chicken would have been much better with some seasoning. It was lacking in flavor but the food was hot and presented nicely. My husband got the lamb and said the same, good but not amazing could have used more seasoning. I would eat here again and maybe try something different

Delicious food, great service and atmosphere. You'll need a reservation on a weekend night. We'll definitely return.

Drinks are very well priced. Had 2 doubles and didn't clear 40 dollars. Food is decent. Had risotto and calamari. Both very good.

I took a seat at the bar (free seating) and browsed the menu. I ended up ordering the fried haddock sandwich ($18) from the summer specials menu. The sandwich had beer battered fried haddock with coleslaw, tartar sauce, pickles, and tomatoes served on a bun with fries. The haddock was a thick, juicy piece with unobtrusive breading providing just a slight texture contrast. The tomatoes and pickles were also thickly cut, making for a more of a burger and less of a sandwich experience. The coleslaw and tartar sauce didn't overdo the mayo or acidity.

Had jambalaya and the cook who made it need to read the recipe. Put chicken on top of the dish was burned and had a taste of gas or charcoal. We also had fish that was dry and not very tasty. The service was also a disaster, the people that serve us had no clue what service is, never asked if we need anything, if everything was alright, etc. the ambiance is dark and depressing. We have been there twice in the past, it was ok, but now is no longer worth thinking of going back.

Lots of filling My dragon roll was delicious! It wasn't missing anything! I would definitely get again. The other roll had like a mayo sauce which was a little too overpowering for me. My lychee martini was strong but I was hoping it would be a little on the sweeter side. Diet soda was really flat Our server was great and constantly came to check up on us.

He was friendly and service was decent, so thank you to him (don't remember his name, I'm so bad with names.) Mai tai: Wasn't awful but not worth $16. Crab Rangoons: Smaller than usual Rangoons, very little flavor, cost $14. Also not worth the price. Basil beef egg rolls: OMG those were veggie spring rolls with literally so little beef and basil that I tore that sucker apart and found one minuscule piece of ground beef and zero basil. Waste of money. Sashimi lunch: One piece of salmon was 1" x 1" in size, no word of a lie. The tuna was fishy and something with a silver skin (mackerel?) was inedible because it was so fishy. Other pieces were edible. White rice was fine, helped kill the fishiness. Sesame Chicken and General Tso lunch specials: Our friend got sesame chix and it looked like a decent portion and she said it was good. Other friend got General Tso and had similar portion and ate the whole thing. Moral of the story: I don't know how they stay in business. I guess Chinese lunch specials are the way to go? Total of bill after tip for 4 people (only one person had a cocktail, others only had water) was $140. Pure insanity. YMMV

So, my little family has been ordering from this place profusely for weeks now. Yet I'm only now…read morebeginning to understand why. And whilst my wife initially presumed I would not enjoy this place much (honestly, shame on her for thinking this), I can assure you NOTHING could be further from the truth. CAVA is what happens when healthy food actually tastes good! It's proof that "healthy" doesn't have to mean "flavorless." But really...the thing that gives this place an edge is the high level of customization they offer its customers. Take a look at their menu and you'll see a generously vast list of ingredients. I guarantee that nearly anyone will find something to their liking, then build the gyro or bowl of their dreams. A word of caution to anyone who orders the former though: it's messy. Like....wicked messy! But, oh SO worth it! I took the liberty of ordering a custom pita wrap consisting of the following: chicken shawarma, crazy feta spread, tomatoes and onions, shredded Romaine lettuce, topped off with a delicious garlic dressing. And this thing did NOT disappoint! Like I said though, it was messy. It only took me getting one bite in before I noticed the garlic dressing making a hasty exit out the backside of my wrap. I find it's best to fold the bottom part of the paper closed before indulging. Otherwise, you'll end up with a puddle of sauce on your table like I did. Whoops! The interior format of the place is pretty straightforward. If you're ordering take-away in advance via their website or app (highly recommended, btw), the pick up area is located on the left-hand side of the order lane. Another caveat to heed is that you'll want to set up a rewards account prior to placing an order. So far as I can tell, this is the only way you'll be allowed to complete an online order. I have a feeling I will be earning some reward points with this place real soon. Because it's conveniently close to my house and I WILL be returning here often. A few other meats I'd like to try are their steak and grilled chicken options. I'll have to experiment a bit with different spreads and dressings and whatnot. But I definitely discovered a favorite that is the shawarma. And with that, I'm giving CAVA in Nashua 5 messy, but tasty as all get out shawarma wraps out of 5.
