Something has changed in the last year. We have been there a few times in the last few years but haven't had service and food this bad. Me and my wife went tonight to get a bite to eat after being out of the area for 8 months. My wife ordered the tips a I ordered a chicken rice special. My wife couldn't chew the steak because it was so tough and filled with gristle. My chicken was ok so we switched meals. I'm usually good with eating anything but couldn't get the tips down. Service was very slow and we waited extremely long for drinks. Something has changed there with management and cooks. We will not be going back. read more

Is sad that your website doesn't list what the soup of the day is. I tried to call and find out with at least 30 attempts! Why not update your website to list what the soup is for that day?? Only recourse is either be surprised when you pickup your online order or waste more time ordering In person or have you guys make issue a refund if the soup is not what a person can eat for whatever reason. Food arrived ice cold after 40 minutes of ordering. The Thai chili sauce was like water and no flavor. The nachos were cold and a solid block of mess, paid extra for taco meat and it was hard to find any of it. I ordered a side of regular honey mustard for extra money because I do not like the smoky honey mustard. They gave me 2 Smokey honey mustard and no regular honey mustard. I will never order delivery from East Derry Tavern again. I love eating in the restaurant but every time I order delivery it is screwed up. Never any response from the restaurant when I complain. Eat in and you will enjoy it. Don't count on them getting it right for delivery. read more

Don't let the "below the C-store" scare you. Beautiful clean establishment with super friendly service & some of the best food in Southern NH. Wings & Burgers are great but the menu is definitely extensive here. We play trivia out on the heated patio on Wednesday Nights. What a great night! read more

We ate here for the first time last night. The service was very patient with us as the beer menu is extensive. We had the vegetable samosas to start, I really enjoyed them. I wanted to try their Indian food because I'd heard great things about their Tuesday night specials. I had the steak and he had the salmon, both were cooked perfectly, although I would have enjoyed a sauce or compound butter with the steak. I opted for the fries instead of mashed potatoes and I'm glad I did. The reminded me of the 'chips' you get in an English pub. I should have asked if they had malt vinegar. Excellent Tuesday Indian menu. Get the naan (cilantro yummy) love the tikki masala and the biyarani, so authentic. Not a huge fan of the burger I ate, loved all the ingredients (spicy cream cheese) but the burger wasn't freshly ground. Still giving it 5 stars because the pros far outweigh the negatives. Chicken sandwiches are very delicious. I like the Thai chicken one. Yummy onion rings and sweet potato fries. Service is always fast and friendly! Great business!!!! read more

I've been there twice, both on the weekend. The place is set behind a small local store snd is a local pub. Kind of a simple interior but clean. The food was good, presented well. They have a nice drink menu so that's a good thing. Waitstaff is courteous but not terribly attentive. They have a lot of locals and they logically pay a bit more attention to them. One distraction is how loud it is. I like it and would like to try in when it was a bit quieter. read more

We were debating between Tuckaway and EDT. We decided on EDT because of the distance and the sudden snow squall. I'm glad we did. The corned beef special was AMAZING and I was beyond excited (because it's technically not even corned beef season!) The staff and owner were really sweet. Definitely a fan. Update: I went back today (11/10/19), ordered the Grilled Nor'easter (pot roast grilled cheese) and I'm still thinking about that damn sandthree hours later. Update 4/4/20: I was still thinking of that Nor'easter sandwich several months later and knew it was thinking of me, so I ordered through DoorDash last night. Reunited and it felt so good. If you like Indian food and live in NH, you have to come here on Tuesdays. Ive been to India... watch the spice level you order. Staff is really helpful, food on any day is really good. Only issue I have is personal, it's a LOUD place when hopping which affects my ability to hear. Their steak is really good, as are there salads. Butter Chicken, top notch. Biryani like I've had in Chennai. Again, just watch the spice level... first time I went, I thought I've eaten spicy food in India (truly) and could handle anything in the States so I went with "Indian Hot". My daughter and I were looking for a bite to eat before a show at Derry's Tupelo Music Hall. Seeing East Derry Taverns decent reviews we thought we'd give it a shot. Simply put we were quite disappointed. We started with their buffalo chicken wontons. They came out severely over fried, to the point there was no real discernible filling. Even the buffalo sauce or blue cheese dressing could breath any life into the order. They had some intriguing Indian plates and I went with the Shrimp Tandoori Platter. The shrimp were butterflied, over cooked, and lacked flavor. The Indian vegetable slaw side had an odd aftertaste. The only good part of the order was the garlic buttered NAAN bread. My daughter went with their crispy fried chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was huge and crispy. But flavor wise it was lacking. The fries were decent. Service was very good. read more

My friends had a surprise birthday celebration here the other night. Everything was amazing from the drinks to the apps to the dinners. Our waitress was so great. She rocked it . She was the only one one and just our table had 7 people and the rest of the tables were taken and you would have never known. The nacho were great. My husband and I went to the East Derry Tavern last Thursday night and loved it! The owners, Lena and Sam were so nice and spent a lot of time talking with us. Katrina who is was our server was terrific as well and explained everything. My husband got a full rack of ribs that fell off the bone with hand cut French fries. I had one of their specialties which is Indian food. It was a marinated shrimp dish which was a bit spicy with Basmati rice and Indian coleslaw. Great bar and many tv's along with outdoor seating. Tuesday is Indian night where I want to go back and have their Tandoori Chicken. They also have some Thai food. In front is the general store where they have the best fried chicken. Also they have many beers and wines to choose from and people come from far away to buy them. There were mostly regulars and Lena and Sam go over to everyone because they become family to everyone. They are very reasonably priced as well. This will be our new stomping ground. I highly recommend it! read more

Service is terrible. Waited 15 minutes after being seated for someone to come and take a drink order. No napkins or silverware on the table. Waited 45 minutes for salads and over an hour for our meals. There were only 6 tables with people. The only waiter and waitress were too busy chatting with the bartender about getting tattoos to pay any attention to the customers. Food was just okay. Used to go there all the time but don't go often now due to bad service. Prime Rib on Sundays.....starts at 4 and they run out by 5 which stinks. read more

This place came recommended for the food. Was extremely busy. I pretty shocked to see the bar was filled to capacity. Literally shoulder to shoulder. So crowded that it was standing room only. People not at all social distancing and coming in and out to smoke cigarettes with out putting makes on. The waitress that took our order kept lifting up her mask to talk to us when taking our order. Otherwise it was not fully covering her face. Went there 2 nights ago. Appetizers were the buffalo wontons - kind of soggy in the middle, not crispy throughout. Wife ordered beer battered haddock said it was good. I ordered the nor'easter grilled cheese sandwich - pretty good. The only downside were the fries served with both meals. Medium heat and soggy - wish d they were fresh and crispy. This place is new so I'm sure they have room to improve. We'll be back to try other dishes. read more

Went there for dinner and drinks last night with a few friends. Service was pretty good. Food didn't take too long , and drinks were STRONG! Food on the other hand.. not so good. We had the nachos,BBQ pizza, and burger not bad, not good either. 2 of us got the nan-which. I love food like this, and from the description it sounded interesting. It was not. I will eat just about anything, and this was inedible. I was excited to try here because everyone raves about it. I can only assume they had a strong drink or two before eating anything.
