I stopped in here with a group of friends on a Saturday night and was worried we wouldn't find a table. Thankfully there wasn't any wait! The restaurant itself seems to be more family friendly and sports bar oriented and was decorated quite nicely. The menu is expansive and has a variety of great options. They even have daily specials as well. Our waitress was prompt and really quite lovely. She helped my friend decide on a dish and answered any other questions that we had. I would highly recommend her! We ended up ordering the dip sticks for an appetizer and I had the chowder and half chicken parm sandwich as my meal. The complimentary bread we had was incredible. Crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside with a dusting of Parmesan on cheese. And they were warm too! The bread was served with a whipped butter that wasn't even necessary but still a welcome addition. The dip stick sauces were excellent- I enjoyed the Indian inspired sauce the most but was also blown away by the pesto. The chowder was fantastic. Nice and creamy with a little bit of bacon on top for Smokey-ness. The chicken parm sandwich was nice and crispy with their great bread and even included an extra layer of pesto which I really enjoyed. I'm not a huge fan of too much marinara but this was the perfect amount and they even had extra on the side. After getting picked up at Logan airport in Boston and making the drive into New Hampshire, dinner called and the Derry exit was close by. Thanks to some help from yelp and my dads love of steak, T-Bones Great American Eatery was the clear cut choice for dinner and where we headed. This place is absolutely massive and gave me such New England restaurant vibes, with lots of wood, tacky decorations, and big signss absolutely everywhere. The place was very busy on this Saturday night and they definitely seemed understaffed, we waited to check in and get a table for about 12 minutes before anyone came up to the front, but hey, busy nights happen. The menu here was huge and featured almost everything you could want from an American style steakhouse from appetizers and deserts to sandwiches and steaks. I ate a lot of food here, so let's just talk about what I personally ordered and ate. Boneless Buffalo Chicken- This was truly a unique batch of buffalo wings. The breading on these were corn flakes and thats certainly not something I've experienced before, but the corn flakes mixed with Buffalo sauce made for some really freaking good boneless wings. French Onion Soup- Nothing special here, but it was both hot and tasted good, so thumbs up on this. Mashed Potatoes- Standard mashed potatoes paired with the steak, ain't nothing at all wrong with that. T Bone- When you go to a place called T-Bones, you order the 25oz T-Bone. This big, tasty, medium rare, slab of beef had so much flavour and was absolutely fantastic. After four years of eating at expensive steakhouses in Las Vegas, I come to a place like this and they are serving the exact same steaks here for $39.99 and that's something I can truly get behind. The only real complaint with the main course was that I also chose French Fries as a side dish and they forget to every bring it to the table, but since I was extremely full anyway, I didn't bother to bring it up. Overall, T-Bones Great American Eatery was a fantastic choice for dinner and somewhere I can definitely see coming back to on future trips to New Hampshire. This place has officially priced itself out of being worth it. The kids' sliced sirloin increased from around $13 to $14.99 within the last six months. Now, without warning, to $16.99. Their website still lists it at $14.99, so finding out at pickup felt like a bait-and-switch. I'm not ignorant to the rising cost of beef, but for the portion size and ounces served, this increase far exceeds simply covering higher food costs and has clearly turned into a profit-driven price hike. For clarity, this kids' meal is one steak tip and two sides. Nearly $17 for that is unjustifiable. They brand themselves around trust, care, and understanding, yet this experience showed none of that. We won't be back, especially as a family. read more

We were celebrating my friend's commencement. 6 of us met for lunch. The service was subpar at best. We had to wait over an hour just to get our soups delivered. They brought the soups at different times and as you can see from the pictures it was overcooked. The broth was also quite oily. I ordered the soup and sandwich. My bread was burnt and hard. I couldn't bite into it and the bacon was also over cooked. The only thing I really enjoyed about the meal was the company. I took apart my sandwich but most of it was inedible. My daughter ordered the scampi but she said it tasted weird so she took only 1 bite out of it. The child got fried chicken and french fries. He seemed to enjoy it he ate about half of it. The "Caprese" Salad came as you can see it is a Caesar with steak. Not at all what was ordered. Out of the 6 of us 2 enjoyed their meals. It was overall disappointing. Okay. What we have here is an exhibit of a meal where the appetizers out performing the main courses can affect the overall rating for a place. See, I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but couldn't quite get there for a few reasons. Let's review. First, I want to get this out of the way. The service wasn't bad. The waitress could have been more present (at one point, we waited over 20 minutes before being able to request two more sets of silverware), but when she was around, she was on target and friendly. Next, we started off with the buffalo chicken egg rolls for appetizers. I also got the clam chowder because...of course I did. Let me tell you....the buffalo chicken egg rolls could possibly be the single most amazing thing I have ever put inside my facehole! Dear Gawd, I have never tasted anything so magical in my life! I'm fairly certainly I'm gonna return to this place and just order buffalo chicken egg rolls to go. Oh, and I highly recommend trying them with bleu cheese. Perfection! 10 out of 10. The clam chowder was decent, though I was a little disappointed I had to season it up a bit. But the most important thing about chowder is that it isn't too thick or thin and has plenty of clams. Like I said, this one's decent. 7 out of 10. And then....we get to the two main courses the wife and I tried; the prime rib and center cut filet, respectively. I did manage to sample both. Both had similar problems, so I can probably make this one quick. Now, to give credit where credit is due, the temps were nailed brilliantly. The problems begin with lack of seasoning. I'll never understand this when it comes to cooking steak. You HAVE to season your steaks. Period. End of story. Sadly, both the filet and prime rib were the blandest things of the evening. There really is no excuse for this. I put salt on after the fact and it only helped a little bit. On top of that, the au jus one usually dips their prime rib in was bland, too. That's like...a double negative. The filet came with these garlic mushrooms, which....barely had any garlic in them. They were alright, I guess. But kinda boring and forgettable. Overall, I'd give the filet a 5 out of 10 and the prime rib a 3 out of 10. I'm naturally way harsher on the prime rib due to the fact that I have a strong basis for comparison and THAT particular cut should melt and taste like butter in your mouth. I also find it incredibly bizarre that a place called "T-Bones" only features 4 cuts of steak on their menu. While they may not be exclusively a steakhouse, the namesake suggests this would be a good place to come for a steak. Alas, it is not. Just to make one thing clear, this is a place that has also been around the New England area for decades. Yet, I can't say it held any significant or lasting memories for me, food wise. I'm not sure quite what I expected. But I know I didn't think I'd experience mediocre steak at an American eatery. These guys should take lessons from Texas Roadhouse. T-Bones gets 3 savory buffalo chicken egg rolls dipped in creamy bleu cheese out of 5. read more

There is a waitress named Susan or something and not only has she been rude to me, she has been rude to coworkers who have gone in. I have been to the TBones in Salem and Hudson dozens of times but this was my first experience at the one in Derry. Like all the other TBones the parking lot was jam packed with cars when we got there. We called to put our name on the list from our car while we waited in the parking lot. We were quoted 25-30 minutes for a table but got a text in 5 min letting us know a table was ready for us. Yaaay! We always start off ordering Espinachos and as expected they were delicious. It's the perfect blend of warm cheese, tomatoes, spinach and onions. My fiancé and I each ordered an alcoholic drink which were about $11 each (I got a mojito and he ordered a margarita). Both were pretty much what we expected. For dinner we both were interested in a sirloin French Onion Melt sandwich that they had on special but we just couldn't justify $19 for a sandwich. Instead my fiancé got the Jalapeño Pretzel Burger (which was delicious) and I ordered their Unusual Reuben. What makes their Reuben unusual is they swap cole slaw for the sauerkraut and Gouda instead of Swiss which is actually how I prefer it so it's perfect for me. I ordered chips as a side to my sandwich because I usually love Tbones' homemade chips. I even got a to go order of them. However, the chips from this location were not like the others. They had no salt or other seasoning on them. They also packed my to go order of chips in a takeout container instead of a bag like I usually get them. It was very peculiar and they definitely not worth the $4 for them. Our waitress seemed gruff at first but by the end of the meal we actually ended up liking her quite a bit. She had a dry, dead pan sense of humor that had us laughing a few times. TBones is a good choice if you're looking for a decent restaurant with a good variety of food. I do feel like all their items are priced $1-$2 more than you would expect which does add up if you're getting a few things. However, I'll continue to go back a couple of times a year as long as the espinachos and Reuben stay on the menu. read more

I'll start from the beginning. My wife and I, prior to retirement, were here at least once a week. But now, it's more like once every 6 months. We were going to eat at 5he beach plum which has the very freshest fish at any price, but 5he6 had a gas leak, and could not open. So we decided on Tbones. After waiting almost to minutes before a hostess came to seat us, we were almost going to leave. Then the menus came. I KNOW PRICES INCREASED, BUT TALK ABOUT STICKER SHOCK. HOLY CRAP. We ordered anyway since I had 10.00 on my credit there. I had a turkey dinner that was good, but it should have been called a mashed potato dinner with a side of turkey. I'M BEING VERY TRUTHFUL. Last week, we went to 5he Airport diner owned by the "common man" chain. I got a turkey dinner that was better, had more food, and cost 5.00 less. And it's fun to go there. I decided to give T-bones a shot for dinner instead of lunch, I have been two times now for lunch and it's been spot on. As per usual our server was great, very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. My husband ordered the burger and asked for it medium rare, you'd be surprised how many establishments can't get the proper cook on a burger. My daughter got the kids tenders and fries and I already know she loves them. I got the lemon dill salmon, and I could slap myself for getting that. I was craving salmon and even though I know it sounded "boring" I opted to get it anyways. Well joke is on me because it quite simply it wasn't that good. I don't know what I expected, but the strangest part was the unmelted spooge of butter on my side of broccoli. It was like someone squeezed out a line of butter and didn't bother to melt or incorporate it. The salmon was bland and basic, I couldn't detect one lick of seasoning on the salmon at all. I would NEVER order that again. My rating for my meal would be a 3, but since everyone else enjoyed theirs I kept the 4 stars. For dinner, I enjoy the North End Trio (chicken, Italian sausage, & eggplant in marinara sauce & roasted red peppers topped with mozzarella & parmesan cheese and served over linguini), which includes a garden salad. For dessert, the Toll House Cookie sundae is my favorite. The food can sometimes take a while to come out to the table, especially late nights, but the food is usually good and worth the wait. Wow superb service. I am highly allergic to seafood and I mentioned this to the waitress,Suzie. She sent the manager over and he was so accommodating. Rich, the manager, discussed my options and that his the kitchen would make the order away from the seafood. The food came and it was delicious. And the chef had made the French fries in the oven.... and i had said no need for anything special someone else can eat them that i was the with. But that was not good enough for this restaurant.
