    Bubbles!

I'm in here maybe once a week since I live nearby. This is good, basic diner fare, which I adore. Service is always friendly. I have my favorite seat in the front next to my little scaled friend, Bubbles. Note: this is not het actual name; it's what I call her. She likes to cast a googly eye at me when I say hey. Pro-tip: don't sit by Bubbles' heater in the summer. About now, November, it'll be just right. My favorites go between anything with corned beef hash and anything with kielbasa. The fried chicken was also good. Also: hard to resist a seat with a bearded dragon.

Western omelette with home fries and white toast.

We started with some cocktails and the cheese curds, for Andres we had the Smashburger and an order of duck tacos. We do come toting along with a six-year-old so with a lack of a kids menu or a simpler eats, we went with the cheese flatbread (note to anybody reading it comes without sauce. It is literally cheese on a flatbread). We can't fall places for not being kid friendly, but it would've been awesome to have even just a grilled cheese option, but that's our problem for another day. Sadly, it will limit when we can plan our future visit visits. The service was great, friendly and attentive, in the ambience, cozy and warm. I travel quite a bit and my husband did deem this a place that "I could come and sit at the bar when I'm by myself " So personally, the only thing I would say is they could use a few more smaller plates that could thicken as child, friendly entrées... or just add a tad bit more options into the mix.

Including a beautiful "little free library". There is a gift shop with locally made goods and their own spice and dip mixes. So if you love the meal you can buy the flavors. They also have a greenhouse in the summer. They have one menu per month, it includes a dip, a soup, a salad, a bread, an entree a dessert and two beverages. The peach raspberry tea is wonderful, the lavendar lemonade is a treat and the mocha coffee is delicious - though it is decaffeinated. (You can get regular caffeinated coffee to stave off your food coma on the drive home too) January 2025's menu was delicious. I had the beef wellington and it was so tender. The flavors on all the dishes were wonderful. The restaurant does 3 to 4 seatings per day where everyone eats at once so the meal is like a very charming assembly line - all you have to worry about is enjoying. Excited to go back and excited for the upcoming menus. I hadn't eaten here in many years. I feel like I've been missing out.

The food all came out quick and appreciated the simple choices that were all excellent. My one small .5 star reduction would be the bread being a bit too dough and needing to be toasted slightly for a warmth and crunch. Other than that, all the food was great and the included drinks from lemonade to coffee, tea and cider is a great touch. Tried the chicken dish and the vegetarian dish with both being excellent. We'll be headed back in a month or two. Make reservations before and check the menu for what they'll be serving as it changes every so often.

We arrive early and had some beers and cocktails, they were excellent. Our waitress, Courtney, was so nice. We talked about our families and she was so friendly. My wife had some fried shrimp and I had baked potatoes skins. Wow, they were delicious. She decided not to have a main because the shrimp and the chips and salsa. Everything was served hot and tasted great! I had a Steak Bomb burrito that was out of this world. So much food I couldn't finish it. My daughter had the Ruben Quesadilla which was another delicious meal. My wife actually had dessert, Flan and whipped cream. It tasted great! Great atmosphere to enjoy your family and friends! To end the night there was a karaoke DJ, Richie Rich, who had people come and sing! The people who sang weren't bad. My daughter and her friend got up to sing... not bad. Nice singing for "normal" people. We had a wonderful dining experience and Amigos made a great day better. If you're in southern New Hampshire, make sure to stop it at Amigos. You will not be sorry. We took a couple-year break simply because we're not in town nearly as much anymore. When we saw they were open again on Sundays, we were genuinely excited and decided to stop in today for old times' sake. First, the positives: the margaritas are still absolute fire. No complaints there at all -- they were fantastic and easily the highlight of the visit. That said, it's pretty clear the restaurant has changed ownership, and unfortunately a lot else has changed too. I ordered the Espinaca burger -- a burger I had waited years to have again because it used to be amazing. Today, it was very obvious that the patty was a frozen hamburger with toppings kind of tossed in its general direction. The quality that made it memorable is gone, and honestly, so is my desire to ever order it again. The appetizer was another disappointment -- clearly frozen, generic, and nothing like what Amigos used to serve. Our bartender/server, Andy, was kind and friendly, but he seemed stretched thin and behind on several tasks with a lot of people to manage, which didn't help the overall experience. For a $100 lunch, this was a real letdown. This just isn't the Amigos it used to be, and that's disappointing to say as someone who supported this place for years. I truly wanted this visit to feel like coming home -- instead, it felt like a reminder that something special is gone. Probably won't be back, which is a shame.
