Very nice place for brunch, I had it on my list for a while and we decided to stop here while out for Maple Sugar weekend in NH. I got the one egg plate with house made sausage and biscuit and homefries, and my companion got the egg plate with cheesy hashbrowns and house bacon. She named the cheesy hashbrowns as the highlight of our meal. All around great breakfast. Everything was seasoned well which is unfortunately a rarity in NH - I appreciated the local meats and breads on the menu and that the biscuits had pepper in them. There was a bit of a wait but it's the Friday morning after Christmas and once we were seated service was great. My only complaint is that the chairs at the bar/high tops are quite uncomfortable - small and metal and I kept sliding around in the seat because of the material of my pants. read more

Very cool place in the heart of town. Friendly service. This place is obviously a local favorite. Maybe the best French toast and homemade biscuit we've ever tried. The stack of hash browns, bacon, sausage, eggs and gravy was huge. A half serving would have satisfied this ol' boy. Very good pomegranate mimosa and the coffee was fresh and hot. Nicely done! Headed north about an hour from Worcester to soak in some fall sights & stopped at The Riverhouse Cafe in Milford, NH Of course, I had to try their Bloody Mary -- made with their own house mix & absolutely delicious. He went with the Farmer's Bowl loaded with all kinds of meats & topped with rich sausage gravy. I couldn't decide (no surprise there), so I was thrilled they offer half portions of select dishes! I ended up trying the Eiffel Tower Stack & the Chorizo Bennie -- both super fresh, flavorful, & totally hit the spot. read more

What a wonderful experience with incredible food, service and value. The servers were amazing - friendly and attentive. Met a friend who suggested Riverhouse. We meet for breakfast across southern NH, and this was one of the best we have found. Omellete topped with a half avacado and filled generously with fresh ingredients including large chunks of ham, peppar jack cheese, perfectly cooked mushrooms and onions. I opted out of toast, but asked for a smaller portion of the cheesey homefries that were excellent. When my friend said I couldn't leave without the pancakes, I had a single blueberry pancake that was perfectly prepared, fluffy but hearty and rich. So good. Highly recommend! read more

I'm a new location where the old foodies is there are almost always packed. The previous location in greenfield closed and since the the best of both locations is represented here. Almost always a wait to get in unless you come when they first order. It's hard for me to order anything but the same thing every time but you couldn't go wrong with anything you order. The breakfast bowls are to die for, I like adding 2 poached eggs to the barnyard stack, which has cheesey hash browns, bacon, sausage, onions sausage gravy and eggs. My daughter gets the pancakes every time. Blood mary is a must. read more

Went here for breakfast for the first time. Surprisingly crowded for a Tuesday morning. Walking in, the smells were amazing. Cute decor, they hung a bunch of random, fun things they liked all over the walls, and it works! The menu is so extensive and creative. Be prepared to have a hard time choosing, but I HIGHLY recommend the French toast. Best I've ever had, and I like that you can get just one slice, with real maple syrup. The brisket stack was delicious as well, glad I got half an order, very filling. My husband enjoyed his biscuits and gravy. The only constructive feedback we had was that based on the other food, we had higher hopes for the "homies". They were flavorful, but small, and VERY dry, so a bit tough to eat. Much prefer some skin on, more greasy potatoes, but that's just our opinion. Would have given a 5, but homefries are a breakfast staple, and they fell a bit short. Decent price, nice waitstaff. Don't walk ... run... There is something for everyone here. We started with the sausage gravy and Biscuits. This was unbelievable! Biscuits were buttery and flaky. The sausage gravy had amazing flavor. I am an eggs Benedict snob. Its my go to breakfast indulgence and this was the best i have ever had. Eggs were cooked to perfection. Was served hot. Bernaise sauce was creamy with phenomenal flavor. I'm still dreaming about having this again. The smoked brisket was divine. Amazing flavor. Again such a phenomenal creation. I had ordered breakfast for my son this morning. One chocolate chip pancake and home fries. When he was eating it he was gagging on something and I opened his mouth and there was plastic in it! I took a picture because I couldn't even believe that! Mind you my son is only 1 years old! He could have choked! Luckily I caught it in time! I called to tell the staff and they told me to come pick up the refund for the order. I was unable to go so I sent my fiance. When he went there one of the staff memebers were not nice and gave a smirk and gave him 4 dollars and some cents after making him wait 10 minutes for that! Whoever I spoke to was refunding the entire meal of 16 dollars for the inconvenience which was actually 20 total and we didn't even get to eat any of it! They said they would have the money at the front for me today. So they didn't even have that organized! I think the staff handled this poorly and rude to a customer. Then the sanitation part of having plastic in food is unbelievable to me. Nevermind the actual pick up of the order was not welcoming at all! She said cash or card and we said cash and they asked do you need change? We didn't even know the cost yet! Then handed 20 and said oh I have to go out back and we said screw it just take the 20. So gave a good tip and all this happened. I'm mind blown at the service today! I will not be returning here ever again! Staff is rude and the food was poorly handled and truly disgusting to have plastic in someone's food never mind a child! Truly disturbed at this place! read more

Excellent service and delicious food as usual. Went for a Father's Day treat and as expected, the food was great. One dish we always have to have is the Johnny apple cake...it's a perfect treat to share. It's described as fresh sliced apples, cinnamon and a buttermilk pancake batter, baked and finished with caramelized brown sugar and whipped cream. Beside that, the breakfast dishes are always a good bet. I like the "stacks" on their menu and you can order a half a stack too. It's perfect for me. My husband ordered their special brisket hash and it was smoky and delicious. My son ordered the french toast, and it is literally a lengthwise slice of bread made into french toast. It was perfectly cooked and huge, though you are paying $11 for it. My daughter ordered a build your own omelet and really liked it too. read more

The restaurant has not changed in appearance since our last meal and it is always very clean. I had the smoked brisket sandwich and chose a small salad as the side order. I also ordered an unsweetened ice tea. My wife ordered the SOB chicken sandwich with fries. The food arrived fairly quickly. The salad was very fresh and the ranch dressing was tasty. My sandwich was on a brioche roll that was very fresh. The brisket was sliced thin and had a nice smoky flavor. There were red onions and a cheddar sauce that added to the flavor. Overall the taste was very good. The service was friendly and excellent. Note that this restaurant is also very good for breakfast with a number of unique creations. Today was my first time at this restaurant and won't be my last time. Everything about the experience was great. They were able to accommodate our large group of 8. Our server Courtney was attentive and kind. All our food came out at the same time, with many employees bringing it over together, which was a nice touch. The manager came over to see how our experience was before we left.  We all ordered different items and each of us enjoyed our meals. I'm a big fan of all the gluten free options they offer. My husband and I were in the area running errands. He decided he needed something to eat because he hadn't eaten breakfast. I agreed to go eat at the Riverhouse because we were just a few steps away. We walked in. There wasn't a hostess at the station but there was a woman having a conversation with a man sitting at the bar. She looked at us, said "hi"but nothing else. We waited for someone to seat us for about 5 minutes. Long story short, it was the lady that said hi to us. As she was finishing up her conversation with the man she mentioned the time. It was just after 3:00pm. At that point my husband and I realized we should just go home and fix an early dinner. She did finally come over to seat us but at that point it was too late for two reasons. One being the fact that it was so late in the day and two (MOSTLY) because of her lack of care she took to seat us. This was our first time coming here and we had a great experience! Awesome service and the food was also great. We will definitely be coming back!
