A delightful small cafe in a quaint town. We were visiting from CA and our friends took us here for breakfast one day. The staff was very friendly and kept the coffee coming. Found this good sized local coffee shop and deli on the way through 'downtown' old Boxford. Been back twice already! The Reuben is great! The Mexican Bowl is great too! There a a few good looking selections on the menu and as specials that I have to get back and try. The breakfast and brunch selections all look good. Service and tables are quick and great. Parking is easy in the private lot. read more

Dinner at Boxford Community Kitchen- it's a family run restaurant located in a community building. They have a good amount of dine-in seating, the service was great. Our server was so sweet and hospitable, and briefly talked about the history of the restaurant and the family who owns it. The restaurant is mainly takeout but they are going to begin providing beer and wine for those who would like to go in sit and eat, and drink . I ordered the ziti chicken/broccoli with Alfredo sauce, yum! The hubby ordered a white pizza with ricotta, tomato, spinach, so good! And I had tiramisu as well, perfect size. I absolutely love the Pizza that they make at the BCS! Generous toppings and great crust. (Until recently). I would have given 5 stars for this review if it wasn't for my recent experience.I hope that they will make changes for this constructive criticism. I have been buying my pizzas exclusively at BCS for the past 3 years. My recent order of pizza was a great disappointment. The toppings were still generous but the crust was terrible. What happened to that great homemade crust? The crust we received recently tasted like a frozen crust you would get from the supermarket. The reason I knew this is because the Greek salad we order with the pizza included a frozen pizza crust instead of the fresh pita bread. Please go back to making the delicious home made pizza dough and pita bread and I will give you the extra star you deserve for a review! read more

Great bustling little diner, we only got egg sandwiches and homemade muffins, because we were working and had time was short, but staff was super friendly, and our food and coffee was fantastic. This little place nestled in the center of Boxford has a large menu selection; everything from subs, seafood, sandwiches, clubs, pizza, calzone, pasta, and wraps; I went in for coffee and ordered the sausage and eggs; oh my goodness, it was huge; not a lot of tables, but most people seem to grab and go. The Boxford Community Store, also known as "Jack's" or "Wayne's" is a small restaurant and local hangout in the center of Boxford, MA. The building is also home to the local TDBanknorth branch, Post Office and local businesses- A one stop shop! The restaurant serves a full breakfast and has a menu for lunch and dinner (for eat-in or take out). They also make a great fluffy-crust pizza. This place is Boxford's version of Cheers-"where everybody knows your name". Go in a few times for a coffee and before you know it, in a couple of days one of the waitresses will have it ready for you before you even get in the store! If you're ever in the area and looking for a great lunch at a good value, stop in and try one of their wraps, subs or a daily specials. Go in with an open mind, however, as sometimes the service can be a little spotty. Also, don't be surprised if you see the regulars cleaning their own tables and helping out!! read more

This is one of those real Hidden Gems of the North Shore of Massachusetts. Awesome Breakfast, their pancakes are light and fluffy, yet "stick to your ribs" good, I hear the waffles are even better. They sport superb sandwiches, their breakfast sandwich is Bar-None one of the best around. I also had their pastrami which was Dreamy, "melt in your mouth" good, this place has a down home, small town feel. It's a throwback to the days of a small town when the entire "downtown" was located in one building. Friendly local people, awesome food, and great atmosphere. Kid Friendly, and GPD Approved. This is Boxfords only place to go for everything; great food, post office, banking, miscellaneous sundrys, and even has limo service. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Bank Teller this year wore antlers during Christmas season, and they almost always pass out candy and dog biscuits. A small town place with a big heart. The homemade soups are incredibly excellent and you gotta try the specials. Had an eggplant sub last time here and could not believe how good. Prices are low. They have been here for many many years and is called Jack's by the locals. I have been going for 30 years; whew! Worth a trip just to see. Places like this will not be around for many more years. Only a mile off I 95 at Topsfield exit. Go West to stop sign and turn right. Community Store is on left. read more

I've been coming here since I was a baby and it's a great hang out... For the old people. The bank is in there and the post office. Half the time their milk gallons are expired and most of their food is too. My kids love eating there and most of the time, I eat before we leave. Usually each kid finds 1 or more pieces of hair cooked into their pancakes. I've found a blonde one about 6 inches long IN my waffle. They must not wear hair nets. The girls who work there (the older ones) are not educated enough to even take your order and most of the time, they bring the wrong meal to you. If you like dirty slummy places to eat, come here. If you don't like your toast with a side of someone else's hair, go else where. You're welcome! read more

The staff here is ultra friendly. I met the owner, Jane, the last time I was here and after 10 minutes I felt that I had known her my entire life - what a breath of fresh air when compared to the sterile, chain restaurants.
