This is the fusilli pasta from Durum Pasta company with my "Gravy" and meatball.

I had an electrician who lives in area of this bakery tell me about the bread made from semolina wheat imported from Italy. It took me a while to get here. Boy am I glad o made it. Ordered loaf of fresh Italian ciabatta bread. It was beautiful with a golden crust. When I got it home I cut it open and it was wonderful with air pockets light white bread and a crisp crust. I also bought a fresh pasta of fusilli which we made a week later. Fresh and top ingredients as it was made with Semolina wheat imported from Italy. Durum grains from Italy have been around for centuries. So good. Finally I had to have some Italian Anisette cookies and they were very good. All this in a little well lit and very clean bakery and pasta shop in Lynn, MA.

durum in Lynn exceeded our expectations! Fresh pasta is their specialty, & it shows. For a family gathering, we ordered the chicken parmesan & meat lasagna, both priced at $40 each & absolutely worth it. We couldn't resist grabbing some extras--the prosciutto & fig schiacciata & fresh focaccia with tomato & garlic were amazing. We left with more than just our meal, though--fresh pasta, sauce, & treats for the win. Everyone raved about the food, & Durum earns two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I got an Italian sandwich that was loaded with "super high quality" Italian meats on a home made Baguette (they also have home made Ciabatta). Unbelievably tasty! Only thing is there is no where to eat inside, so you have to bring home or eat in the car. Didn't want to wait to eat until we got home as we had to stop at Dom's in Malden for steak tips and it was about 45 minutes home. Huge sub! Way too much for two IMO. If you have a chance you have to try out this totally authentic Italian sandwich. We also got fresh ravioli while we were there. Delicious!

The food and service is top notch! I really enjoy the ham and cheese calzones and the chocolate dipped biscotti.

Not impressed with the 3 dollar ciabatta. So light. I expected more. I will go back to try pasta.

The short rib has a complex seasoning with red wine in the background- surprisingly delicious. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly and the onions and peppers were so good I sought them out to include in every bite. Unfortunately, I was in a rush and could only try that one meal, but I will definitely be back and take my family for brunch here. The owner Roxanne had time to have a quick conversation with and. She was exceptionally friendly. I have no idea how this place isn't more popular. Maybe lightning struck and they made the best breakfast I've had in a long time but if their food is consistently this good, they are certainly gonna become more popular. Sometimes it just takes a while for a new restaurant to get found I guess. Highly recommend coming and trying the Short rib hash as it is savory perfection for a cold winter morning

I was intrigued by the Mexican and Italian description but I found very little Mexican on their menu. I went for a bbq pizza and it was a good pizza until I took a bite and got a chicken bone. I reported it to our server and she dismissed it as something that can happen as they use chicken breast. I consider that to be poor food preparation and a potential choking hazard. I didn't eat the rest of the pizza and brought it home to check for bones in better lighting conditions. After all it was a decent pizza. My friend went for the lamb and I tried it. Lamb was slightly chewy with extra fat. Mashed potatoes were under seasoned.

The sauce is perfect, and the crust is cooked to perfection. The owner Tony was really kind and made great recommendations. As for the spot itself it's right on the main drag with a great view of Boston, and awesome outdoor seating when it's warm out. On another note I'm surprised by the Portnoy Rating, I thought the pizza was far better than the score he gave. I'm looking forward to getting Volo again really soon!

At $27, it's pricier than most pizza in the area, but with the great reviews, I figured it must be woth it. When we got the pizza home, I noticed that it had an abundance of broccoli and spinach, but a more limited amount of tiny pieces of chicken. The crust was the best part of the pizza. The pizza itself was dry and had absolutely no garlic or seasoning at all. It tasted like broccoli bread. Then my nephew found a piece of blue plastic in his pizza, which was mostly covered by cheese. Needless to say, I don't get the hype about this place. There are plenty of pizza places in the area, so I'm not likely to order from here again.
