I can't believe I haven't tried their pizza sooner! I moved here from Pennsylvania and have been on the hunt for a decent pizza place and I have found it! got the meat lovers pizza and it tasted just like pizza from home. don't be like me, try Mandees today! The woman at the counter was also very sweet, and gave us cookies to sample, they also are delicious! read more

I drive by Mandee's every day on the way home from work and decided to check it out. I ordered online ahead of time and picked up the chicken piccata pizza, a flavor combination I have never seen on a pizza before. This was scrumptious, with diced tomatoes, grilled chicken, capers, and a lemon garlic sauce drizzled over the top. The standouts were the capers and the lemon garlic sauce, which really made the pizza pop. It had such complex flavors but also felt light, despite these intense flavors. After this I am definitely a fan of Mandees and feel it sits right up there with some of the best pizza that Salem has to offer. read more

1st I have to say I ordered delivery 10 minutes before they closed. The man who answered the phone was awesome! Pizza was not what we wanted to eat on our anniversary. But everyone I called couldn't spell. F as in Frank A-i-r to make fair. f as in Frank e-i-l-d Fairfield!!! I called atleast 5 places. I can eat pizza everyday. So I called Mandees. I told them I wanted a LG cheese 1/2 pepperoni well done and throw a "little" extra sauce. Cooked perfectly. Their pepperoni is outstanding! Only one thing is the sauce is missing flavor. It's missing the garlic and oregano. And I had to add salt. But was happy after I sprinkled some on. Driver was great too! Price is high but expected. It's what it is these days. read more

I love Mandees pizza. They're really good and friendly. I get pizza delivered but it's nice inside the restaurant.

Their delivery service is terrible! The delivery driver is a lazy person who expects you to walk all the way over to his car instead of 'delivering' the food directly to your door. He's also passive-aggressive about the lack of tip, as if everyone can afford one! read more

I hadn't been to Mandee's in probably 15-20 years, but returned this week as we were working at the Salem HS Football field installing a new sound system. We went to Mandee's every day this week! My co-workers got hooked and I was happy to say the place lived up to my hype - even though it had been so long. The pizza is NY style thin crust (and two of the guys in the crew lived in NY and agreed) and the chicken tenders were and ARE a MUST!! Soo good! The staff was super friendly and we got slices everyday and they were always perfectly cooked. Needless to say anytime anyone from our crew works in Salem, we're going there for lunch. Thank you Madee's! read more

Mandee's is good 65% of the time. It's better than most of the other pizza places in the area: consistent taste, good ratio of sauce-to-dough, great sauce taste, and not typically a long wait. I haven't tried their subs in a few years, but I used to be a fan of their chicken kebab subs (and the pizza). I'd come here over flying saucer, but they could be better. The staff is typically not in the best mood--they seem to be under pressure from having so many orders. But there is usually a friendly girl in the front to take orders. I mention this because the energy a person has when they make food, affects the food so it's important to be mindful how much the staff appreciate their jobs and cooking in general. They have 6 tables to eat in, but I'd rather take-out. Ambiance: 3/5 Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 read more

We ordered on a Sunday night and loved the online order option. Easy pickup, friendly staff and good menu. The pizza is good. Not great. Definitely can tell they use fresher ingredients than most pizza places so kudos there. I ordered the sicilian and it was just a slightly thicker pizza. Traditionally, sicilian style would be more thick, square. However, I understand interpretation can be different. I think Mandees really has something going here. Unfortunately the pizza here just didn't hit the mark for me personally. I'll definitely give it another go in the future. read more

Mandes' pizza is great, in our opinion, but even more, their customer service is great. We ordered a tuna wrap tonite and received a chicken wrap. We called, told them about the mistake, and amid a busy dinner time on a hot day, they delivered the tuna wrap very quickly. Can't really ask for more than that. We LOVE this local business. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough!! I go here pretty consistently before work and every single time the food is amazing, the place is clean, and the people are wonderful. Prices are great too! Even when they are super busy I rarely wait more than 10-15 minutes. Excellent!!! read more

Excellent food! The chicken Alfredo pizza is delicious. Also Mandee's makes great cheesesteaks and chicken fingers. Everything I've ordered has been really good and very quick delivery. Highl read more

I was on my way home from work and called and ordered a cheese pizza. I timed it perfectly, so all I had to do was pay for it and pick it up. I was parked oddly because I knew it would be quick, but to my surprise , it wasn't. I walked in and saw the pizza sitting on the oven. There were 2 people looking at the menu up on board and could not decide what they wanted after several stupid questions, like how many fingers in an order with a ceaser salad? How much extra. I waited patiently as I had exactly the amount in cash to pick up pizza, but no one behind the counter thought nothing to ask me if I was picking up. Instead, they made me wait and wait. I did. The customer kept asking questions with no decision. I started to lose my mind, so I told them thank you for making me wait on my to go item. Now I don't want it anymore, so I left. Never going back. There pizza anyway is not really good and very inconsistent. It was just OK. Terrible service, inconsiderate. read more

Tried this place last week and really liked it! The service was spectacular and the venue was spacious. I just got cheese pizza which was definitely tasty and had HUGE slices for pretty cheap (2.50 a piece). My friend got a giant turkey sub which she highly recommended. They also had a HUGE selection of drinks (juices, teas, sodas, and a few beers). The fries were also crispy and delicious. I would have given it a 5 buuuut the prices were a bit high for other meals (all between 12-15 dollars). Apparently you get a ton of food with each meal, but I'd rather more reasonably sized meals with a lower price. I will be back, just splitting a meal with a friend next time. read more

We moved to Salem a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier to be within walking distance of Mandee's. The service is always great, with friendly employees no matter how late it is. It's a lot cozier inside than it looks on the outside--old-school but clean. And the food always hits the spot! We've tried pizza, wings, the buffalo chicken sub and the cheesesteak. (My husband is from Philly and says it's the best cheesesteak he's had in Massachusetts.) We're looking forward to returning often--at least, as often as our cholesterol levels can handle. read more

I haven't been to Mandees in some time and decided to try it again. Ordered a large roasted red pepper and mushroom pizza and was absolutely delicious. The mushrooms were chopped small and spread generously throughout the pizza. I have never had mushroom pizza prepared that way and it really enhanced the flavor of the fresh mushrooms. I always come here for the pizza, it always is so good and usually does not lack on quality. Always do getting the same pizza. But this time around I got a chicken broccoli Alfredo dinner and a steak and cheese sub and I must say hat both were great. Was very surprised at the chicken broccoli Alfredo and how good that was for a sub shop. Very impressed and definitely coming back for that instead of just pizza next time read more

Excellent local pizza (thin crust) in Salem. Ordered the Mediterranean Pizza with tomato sauce -- yum!

Found Mandees pizza after a day of checking old Salem. Looked to the Yelp gods for assistance finding dinner my my daughter and myself. Pizza is always a winner. Turns out, we parked a few streets away and was super easy to find and an added bonus : free parking ! Perused the menu for about 20 seconds, if I looked any longer I would have changed my mind about a dozen more times. Steak bomb calzone caught my eye and rolled with it. Kiddo has a plain cheese pizza, she LOVED it! We both ate about half of our meals, we were Stuffed ! I really wanted to eat the whole calzone, but I had a 90 min drive home. Gottta stay awake ! Will return when in the area. read more

Dev thoughts: this is a meal for a deal. A quick easy place to order from, with fair pricing. I got a turkey grinder and was able to stretch two meals out of it for just $6! WOW! Delivery was relatively fast, but it was after 2 so i did expect it sooner. The pizza my colleague ordered was a bit average, he asked for extra cheese and did not receive it, over all it's you're average pizza joint, but I'd say stretch for something outside of the name and be a bit more satisfied. read more

How was everything with your order? Hello John and Alicia, Kelly waited on me and was as effervescent and pleasant as always. I had ordered two grilled-chicken sandwiches for two men working at our home, neither of whom had eaten anything from Mandee's. Antonio, a Guatemalan, had his sandwich without any cheese, but chose lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. He thought it was delicious, and he added mild Pico de Gallo from Market Basket, which he felt enhanced the flavor (his family in Guatemala uses Pico de Gallo extensively) . His boss, a Polish-Ukrainian, had his with feta and everything, really everything, including hots and whatever else comes with your "everything." He too thought it was "...great, a really good sandwich." I did not have anything on that occasion but, as I describe what those men had, picture the sandwiches, and recall how pleased they were; I rather wish I had. Thanks for another nice job! RF p.s. I will be ordering something for my wife and me today, Saturday, and am looking forward to another Mandee's hit! read more

We ordered from the Mandee's for the first time last night, and we are definitely going to become repeat/loyal customers. From start to finish-- ease of online ordering, efficiency of delivery tracking, courtesy of driver who delivered, and, of course-- quality of food--we were really impressed. (Price is great too.) PLUS they seem to be truly nice people; a real plus all around and a good neighborhood resource. They want to go that little bit extra that makes being a customer a really good experience. Glad to support their business! read more

We're frequent flyers of this pizza shop. Sister establishment to Mandee's of Lynn. You can't go wrong with just about anything on their menu. Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pizza is everything here, fresh broccoli & the best sauce I've ever had at a sub shop. Their steak bomb subs & french fries are also fan favorites at our house. Fast delivery any day of the week, game nights included! Late night delivery too which is perfect for the nights you stumble in and realize you just need something quick before hitting the bed. I generally order online with delivery which is awesome because there's a tracker. When I do call in the staff is friendly and accommodating. You won't regret slipping an order of chocolate chip cookies in at the last second, we can't get enough of them. Better than your grandmas recipe. They've had a bad rep in the past for customer service but it's something they've genuinely put effort into improving and it shows. John & Alicia put pride into their shop. Take a trip over & grab a beer & a slice trust me it's worth your time. read more

Love Mandees, good food and driver Arthur is always nice !!!!

The booty call equivalent of Salem pizza delivery. It's dependable, you know what you're going to get, and there's no hassle. Good crust, tasty cheese & sauce. One pizza that I have always found bizarre is the Hawaiian Supreme. What makes it bizarre is that they add maraschino cherries along with the pineapple and ham. Who eats that? Their Supreme pizza is impressive. It literally has everything on it and I mean everything (you have to ask for anchovies and/or jalapenos). It weighs more than my fat poodle. The best thing is their online service. Log on, pick your pizza & toppings, pay and submit. Pizza shows up about 30 minutes later. I luv that. Oh Mandee's, Well you came and you gave after bakin' But then I sent you away, oh Mandee's Well, you fed me and stopped me from shakin' And I need you today, oh Mandee's! read more

Closest to NY pizza as I can find in the Boston area. I have tried alot of different pizza's and they are all good. Hawaiin, Buffalo Chicken, Cheese, Pepperoni, it's all good. I also like there BBQ chicken fingers with blue cheese. There's a lot of sauce on them, maybe a little too much though. And like another poster said, delivery is super fast. Sometimes I don't have enough time to get up and get my money before they are here. Very friendly, and fast service. read more

I've lived in Salem for 4 years, and seem to order from Mandee's about once a year. I can't tell you what it was like the first three times, but it must have been kinda forgettable and not worth remembering, judging by the lack of follow up orders. My most recent annual visit was a week ago. We got two pies, one plain cheese and one with meatballs and sliced tomatoes. The plain cheese was awful, in that it had no flavor at all. On the other hand, the meatball and tomato was really quite good. Maybe I'll update this one next year. read more
