Absolutely Loved the steak bomb grinder here. Tender and spices were super. Lots of meat and cheese on it too. The pizza was crazy good!! Fresh homemade dough . Perfect thin vs thickness of crust. Rich and flavorful marinara and tons of gooey cheese. Loved it!! Cold beer and great food, you just can't go wrong by eating here! read more

Engine House Pizza was a great find. The pizza was fresh and really yummy you can definitely taste the quality in every bite. What stood out the most was the service. The guy making the pizza took the time to chat with us, and it turned into such a nice conversation. He made my family feel genuinely welcome, which made the whole experience even better. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, especially for a tourist area. Overall, great food, great people, and great value. I'd happily come back again. read more

Good spot to get some pizza especially if you have kids . Food and chicken fingers were spot on .

Stopped in here tonight around 940 to grab some pizza after a long day of just getting into salem and walking around etc. Time got away from us and it got late and walked by and it looked welcoming. Gentleman at counter was very friendly even though it was closer to closing time and there were multiple people before and after us well walking in for a bite to eat. He never got flustered or overwhelmed. It was clean and cozy and the pizza was the best we've had in a long time(from NC so you always hear about the northern pizza). It was refreshing to have friendly service and hot fresh food in a chill, relaxed vibe, (excellent music choices playing might I add, felt like we were back in the late 90s/early 2000s in a really good way) and caring about customers, harder to find these days. We will probably stop back in before we head home later in the week. Highly recommend. read more

Wonderful customer service. Visited from out of town and Scott gave a lovely story about his business, and the pizza was great! Go check this place out. read more

The food is great for a small pizza joint, I liked the vibe and it felt cozy more than slummy. Service was great and my siblings enjoyed playing my arcade games while we ate. read more

I was in Boston for my niece's volleyball tournament and had the chance to check out Salem. We decided to have dinner here and it certainly did not disappoint. The pizza here is really good and came out hot and fresh. The crust was crispy (not overly crispy) and held the toppings well; the sauce was tasty. The price for two small pizzas, four drinks and mozzarella sticks was not super expensive and worth every penny. The mozzarella sticks were crispy and the cheese pull was great! Scott and the guy making the pizza were super nice and this place had a nice quaint ambiance. You had Miami Vice playing on the TV and all the good 80's songs playing...very 80's east coast pizzeria. IMO it's well worth a visit to this little gem. read more

A another pizza stop in my day in Salem. The only one that was reasonable prices. A slice of cheese and a coke for $5. Located right next the fire station this has a welcoming enviorment with a couple arcarde games in the back corner. Pizza was ok. Nothing special, but when factoring in the price it was the best of the ones I tried. read more

Amazing staff and the place feels authentic. The Italian sub is delicious and fresh. Pizza sauce is so flavorful

Limited review. Didnt diversify much! Local 80's movies shop-vibe in a cool pie-place. Pizza is tasty, but the steak and cheese hit the spot. Done in the simple way, shaved steak, good bread, gooey cheese, onions etc. New to the area taken me a bit to find where my favorites will be, however this will be my steak and cheese spot. Dig it! read more

I was staying at the Hampton Inn and was looking for pizza. I saw another pizza place online and was heading outside when I ran into someone delivering food. When I asked him about the other place, he told me that he worked at Engine House and he walked me to the shop. Everyone was extremely nice and they gave me double portions of pizza. It was very good NY Style and less than $3.50 a slice. Can't beat it! read more

A definite awesome place to visit. You definitely feel welcome and the Great pizza! Great service! Definitely recommend

After standing in line briefly i turned around and left...the guy working there there was speaking to a customer sarcastically & disrespectfully; in a hoarse voice. He sounded like he had tuberculosis and he wasnt wearing a mask or gloves serving people food? Between all that and the confusing, homemade, ghetto menu boards my brain was scrambled and went home. Alllllll set lol read more

Since the ownership changed in 2022, this once amazing pizza place has taken a total nosedive into garbage town. The pizza is hit or miss. When it's done right it's still good. But more often than not it's made with total apathy and it's terrible. Subs are a joke. And be prepared to hang around at the counter waiting for the guy to bothered to even acknowledge you're there and take your order. And when he does it's such a bother. It's the worst customer service I've come across. Engine House was a prime pizza spot for decades and now it's just pathetic. Walk across the street to Super Slice and I promise you'll have a better experience and get better food. read more

So good!! We popped in for a quick slice and I snagged the hot honey pepperoni they had at the time. Amazing service and overall vibe as well! Definitely hit this place if you want a good piece of pizza!! read more

The pizza was great and the service was very good as well. Good atmosphere that felt like a local restaurant rather than a tourist stop.

Visiting from FL and stopped in for a bite before a ghost tour. Staff was super friendly and prices were great. The pizza was hot and the sauce was delicious. Loved being able to sit down for a meal without paying $$$. Would definitely come back next time. read more

I genuinely have no idea how this place has a 3 star! This has been the To-go place in salem since I have been a child and they bomb (in a good way) every dish you get! Amazing chicken fingers, great pizza, PRICES ARE AFFORDABLE FOR SALEM!!!! There is not a single thing that would make the restaurant better, only thing I can think of is maybe some Coke products lol. Service is unmatched! Great place to watch a game or to eat and watch the sunset! Love this place dearly!!! read more

pizza is soooo gas and the workers are nice people, definitely pull up to this place. nice vibes too!

Overall great experience. The person helping us behind the counter was nice, funny and very personable. The food was amazing and we were left so full and satisfied. Next time we come to Salem we'll most definitely be back. read more

Salem is a great place for Halloween and I figured I'd get some pizza before the ghost walk. No idea what was up but while waiting for my order the owner started shouting at and belittling a waitress out of nowhere. She left and he came over to try and apologize, I got up and left. A shame since it smelled good but that left me with a bad vibe. Plus the guy looked like he was already understaffed anyway. read more

I never heard of this place until my son brought me home a cheese steak . Oh my God! I havent had a cheesesteak this good in YEARS! I'm hooked.I've now had 3 cheesesteaks from here since last week , plus my wife enjoys the chicken parm sub , which is shocking because she's soooo picky ! Definitely a 5 star just for that alone. read more

One of my all time favorite pizza restaurants and I don't even live around Salem. The slices are really big and I love the thin style crust with a really nice flavored tomato sauce and a nice layer of mozzarella. What I really like about Engine House Pizza is that their menu is always evolving. I got a great deal on an Italian sausage with peppers and onions and the cost was only $6.50 where if you were to get one anywhere else it would be upwards of $12. The servers have always been very friendly and I look forward to stopping by every time I'm in the area. read more

We walked into this pizza joint after our Salem history tour. We ordered 2 large pizzas, but they were sooo good we ordered a third one! The onion rings were really good and the owner was so good to us he gave us some powdered donut strips and some bread sticks with nacho cheese. We were so pleased with the service. The ambiance is very family friendly, the kids entertained themselves with a classic PacMan game and a pinball machine read more

When I saw pictures on yelp I knew it was more of a "moms & pops" the kind of pizza you see in movies not some fancy hipster spot. Service was great! They have cool little pin ball games in the corner, good rock n roll type music and the vibe was family. My wife & I got wings and two slices of pizza. BOMB. Wings were delicious & pizza was good. Again it's no fancy hipster Bambolina pizza. If we're ever in Salem again we'll definitely stop by! read more

Engine House Pizza - Cheese pizza & Mozzarella Sticks - Pizza Near Me - Salem, Massachusetts

Ordered a couple of pizzas and when I opened them up, there was a clear difference between the two. Called to just ask to replace the pizza since clearly it wasn't even fully cooked and was told the owner would call me back. He didn't so I called again and when he got on the phone, he argued with me and told me it was my fault. I'll never go back and would not recommend this place when there's so many other quality pizza places on the north shore. read more

Great sub with phenomenal bread. When I make a sub at home- this is it. So I guess that's high praise.

Pleasantly surprised by my experience after reading past reviews. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, small Hawaiian, side Caesar salad and a side of spaghetti. I personally enjoyed their sauce and the pasta was cooked just right. You order at the counter when you're ready. The sides came out first right away and the pizza took a reasonable amount of time to cook. I loved the thin and crispy crust! The ambience is calm and relatively quiet enough to hold a good conversation. Everything was super clean as well. Parking spots like the building, we were lucky to snag just a couple of feet away from the entry. The staff was polite and helpful in recommending their top sellers. If I'm ever in the area I would definitely swing by again! They have a ton of cool historical stuff to look at too which adds to the experience while you wait. read more
