We enjoyed our experience here. Favorites were the pasta which received rave reviews & the cheesy garlic sticks which were a hit. The steak and cheese also received very positive feedback from my son for its flavor, it did have a lot of grease but it didn't seem to take away from his enjoyment of it. We decided to order a Sicilian style pizza as well since it is out go to pizza style. I really liked the dough, the assortment of cheeses was fine (not my favorite but not bad), and the sauce was probably my least favorite part of it, I'm not sure if it was basil or oregano but that was the main flavor profile from it. We arrived at 10:59 on a Thursday afternoon and were the first patrons there. Shortly after arriving we had the pleasure of meeting Jackie, the owner and a fantastic host!! Being from a very different place, we were interested to learn some of the history of the area from a life long local. She was funny, she was pleasant, and she is a lovely person. On top of the great company, came great food and the best dark and stormy I've ever had. We got a few slices of the pizzas for the day, and all three were fantastic, with good crust and fresh ingredients- the two most important things about pizza! While walking around the area looking at all the shops we decided to stop in and try some pizza . After looking at the menu we ended up ordering some onion rings , meatballs and a half pepperoni half Hawaiian pizza. First out was the onion rings which was a good amount and came with a house made bbq sauce and ketchup which were really good , we had asked about a side of ranch and since it was like $2 we passed but the owner came out and ended up giving us a cup of it and was explaining why they charge and it is definitely home made and not just ranch out the bottle. Now the meatballs were so good and the homemade marinara was on point just so good. And now for the pizza it was a good pizza and a good size and the location of the restaurant was right in a small shopping area along the water , they had a good size dining area and nice decor would most likely stop in again to try some other items. read more

My last two times coming here I have paid $51 for one pizza and Buffalo wings, and then $57 for small pizza, BLT, and Greek salad. $18 for the BLT alone is insane when you realize it doesn't even come with fries. Nothing went right here. "Amazing" is quite an overstatement. Tables were dirty and unbussed for quite a while. We were told to "sit anywhere", which meant for us to look for a table that was clean. It was an exceptionally long wait for our ordered white pizza. I was unaware that a "white pizza" would mean that said pie would be devoid of spices. No flavor. We were never told about the specials, although we were hounded by our waitress, who turned out to be the owner, about why we didn't seem ecstatic about our experience and the food. Also, no soap in the bathroom. No one came to our table to collect the check; we had to go to the front to the cashier in order to cash out. Done here. I got served some of the worst pizza I've ever had at this place. It was basically like a burned cracker with a little cheese and tomato sauce on it. I got 2 pepperoni slices to go and I was going to eat them on the way home but I ended up stopping after just a few bites because I thought it was terrible. And the fact that they charge $5.50 for a razor thin burned slice of pepperoni is ridiculous. I can't speak about the ambience of the restaurant since I got my order to go but I did think the dining room looked very nice and the girl at the counter who served me was very friendly. The pizza is amazing but not the purpose of this review. It's the clam chowder. Spent the week driving from Boston to Bar Harbor and ate some great food during our trip up and down the coast. Stopped by Amazing Pizza for something other than seafood but the owner talked us into a bowl of chowder. It was not only the best of the 9 bowls we ate that week but also the best meal of the week. There should be a line around the corner of this family owned joint everyday. If you are visiting Salam don't make the mistake of passing by this place to eat at the touristy seafood places. read more

We ordered delivery last week. My husband's small meat pizza was tasty, except a few areas of the crust were burnt. My gluten free pizza was not recommendable; it was smaller than a regular "small" pizza, which I have unfortunately experienced with several other pizza establishments. They offer online ordering through Toast. I placed an online order recently at Amazing Pizza in Salem. I ordered the Small 12" Sausage Pizza ($15.95 plus tax) and a Bolognese Pasta ($15.95 plus tax), which was ready to go in about 20 minutes. The 12" round pizza was topped with slices of Italian sausage, red sauce, and minimal mozzarella cheese on top of a soft thin light crust. However, the edges of the pizza were burnt and this definitely was not a New Haven pizza. The Bolognese Pasta had plenty of hearty meat sauce over soft cooked linguine. I was able to add more linguine pasta to this dish and quick baked some garlic bread when I got home for a filling meal. Overall, not bad. I would probably return to try one of their sandwiches with fries, but I would skip the pizza. read more

I paid last and took out my envelope that I had cash to pay my bill. We left the restaurant and within 15 after leaving I noticed my envelope was not with me. So I went back and asked the bartender if he saw it. He said yes. I said can I have it? My money of $40.00 was still in it. He said no I threw it out, it was empty. Upon arrival, the place is cute and quiet, and one of the only non-busy places around the Salem area. After arriving and waiting to be seated, the owner, Jackie, is yelling at her clearly autistic employee for collecting tips! This almost made us immediately leave. We decided to sit anyways. Amazing Pizza is worth the walk! It takes just a couple of minutes from the center of downtown to the harbor area, but if you like crisp hot pizza with fresh, quality topping you'll be pleased. I am extremely disturbed by this Establishment. They advertised Dinner Shows...I have been several time and had a wonderful experience...even though the food was rather second rate. This past Friday I received notification that all shows are canceled immediately. I was going ..had tickets and lots of friends coming with me in the next several weeks. This decision on the part of Jackie to end the shows is extremely disappointing. When I inquired as to "why" the shows were canceled...I was told.."Jackie felt the shows were not family friendly". Interesting ...these same shows were acceptable Between Nov and April...They were acceptable over the biggest family time of the year...Christmas! Yet NOW where business is picking up from the tourist trade the shoes...Golden Girls. Judy Garland Tribute shows, Hocus Pocus...are not family friendly?! Clearly Jackie used these talented performers for her own financial gain...and then decided to unceremoniously evict them. The food...sub par...I went...paid $20 to the restaurant...for water...What restaurant doesn't offer Coffee or Tea?? Salad swims in dressing...Meatballs..horrible...
