We went to Bambolina after doing a tour of the Salem Witch Museum this past weekend (November 2025). This is a cute restaurant with a lot of space and friendly staff. The menu is quite unique in that they serve italian food (pizza/pastas) and also ramen! We dined with 4 adults and 4 kids. We got some of everything - ramen and pizza and it was all very good. There are even kid-friendly ramen dishes that you can ask about, where you choose the broth, noodle type and protein. This was our second time visiting Bambolina and we'll be back again! read more

We're in Salem in October so lines are to be expected however there was not a line here which was shocking since the food looked great! We were seated within 10 minutes if not, less. Ambiance was noisy but not headache level. I really enjoyed how they served Italian and Asian food. Chasu pork buns 10/10: Good ratio of meat to vegetables to bun. Warm. Bun was soft as it should be. Soooo good! The restaurant was empty when we arrived, which was surprising for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered the chicken and lemongrass dumplings to start and they were excellent! Spicy but not overly so, had almost a buffalo flavor to it that actually worked really well. I got an artichoke arugula pizza and loved it. Insanely good crust. We also got back alley ramen and Colonel Sanders' ramen. I'm not usually much of a ramen person but they were both incredible from what I tried. Extremely flavorful and tasty broth. To be frank I was curious what two restaurants under one roof in Salem would be like and I will say it was a pleasant surprise. Despite going during Halloween rush season, staff were quick to seat us and kind despite that rush. Now I've been to Bambolina's before and you can either sit outside (even this time of year) and take in the passersby and their numerous themed costumes or you can sit inside and enjoy the lowered mood lighting with more wood and tan accent colors. It feels sleepy in there and for me that equates to comfort. On this particular occasion I decided to get a Rosso Pizza from the Bambolina menu and my fiance got the Pork Belly Ramen from the flip side of the menu, that second restaurant I mentioned: Kokeshi. The food overall here is very natural and fresh tasting- none of that processed jargon you get at chains. You might think having two totally different culturally distinct menus under the same roof means one gas to be better than the other or one takes a hit in quality but no, not at all. I can pleasantly say having tried from both the Bambolina and Kokeshi menus that options on each are solid. You won't be disappointed if you go here, though it is more of a surprise if you're used to having processed pizza and ramen frequently. They offer great service and the menu is clearly marked for avoiding gluten. Every single person in our group loved this place! We all got noodles of some type. We were all happy. Stopped in for lunch totally unplanned. We were actually on our way to another restaurant when we walked by this location and decided pizza sounded like a much better plan. This place is I've gotten a couple of their specialty pasta dishes (shrimp pesto linguine, small scallop pasta) and their pizzas are amazing. The pizza bread appetizer is great as well. The restauraunt serves both Italian food and Japanese ramen and some fusion appetizers as well. I always look forward to coming to this place when I'm in Salem as the food always draws me back. There's a lot indoors and outdoor patio seating but recommendations are recommended as it's always busy when I go. I've been to Bambolina a few times and have always really enjoyed it. It's in a great location with a warm vibe and friendly service. My most recent visit was on a Sunday night a few months ago and it was fairly busy. Not packed but still lively. We loved the salad. It was absolutely delicious and I don't think I've ever seen my boyfriend eat that many greens. I'm glad my friends were willing to split pizzas. The artichoke and arugula pizza was my favorite, though everyone enjoyed everything. I've gotten pepperoni in the past and liked that as well. The pizza is just great here. Drinks were good too. Bambolina is also good because they've combined with Kokeshi, another favorite, so if your group is craving different things, Bambolina will work well. Though I miss the old Kokeshi space. Pastas are next on my to-try list here and I'm to return soon. read more

Didn't even get a chance to try the food. We were sat and never greeted once for even water after about five minutes. The restaurant is not full at all. There were flies flying around quite a bit and we got turned off by the whole place that we stood up and walked out. This was my first time at Bambalina and we went for lunch. On the positive side, service was very good- quick and super nice server- and the pizza was good. On the "con" side, the price of drinks was scandalous ($14 for a glass of wine, no bottle of wine under $48), the pizza toppings were scarce, and the Alfredo sauce was super heavy. The decor/ size/ ambience were good and the location is of course amazing, which is probably what's driving the prices. I don't think I will go back. read more

I had done takeout and they sent me the wrong pizza but they quickly fixed it. It was pretty empty in there when we came. I didn't expect it to be a joint space with Kokeshi. We ordered the bay scallop linguine, back alley ramen, ahi tuna poke, ragout Bolognese, forest mushroom and sausage pizza to share. They ended up giving us the margherita pizza due to a miscommunication. I was a bit bummed because I was excited to try the mushroom. Bambolina is an amazing restaurant in Salem - a town that has LOTS of excellent options! They have a great menu with lots of Italian favorites. Their pizzas are out of this world and are worth the visit alone. Their service is great and their prices are also reasonable. I unfortunately have to deduct some stars as I recently had an offputting dining experience with them. A few friends and I came on a gorgeous afternoon (in September) and decided to eat at the outside tables since the weather was so nice. About halfway through our meal, we noticed that there were tons (I mean really, TONS) of little mice running around the tables and our feet. We mentioned something to one of their team members, who said that it's unfortunately a thing in Salem and they are aware of them. It really put a damper on our fun night out as we were so distracted and grossed out to see them running around us while we were eating. This all said, I will still be back to Bambolina because their food is really that good. Just take my advice, and choose an indoor table! read more

I stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the historic Salem area. I was originally looking for Kokeshi ramen and as it turns out, Bambolina and Kokeshi are the same restaurant, just serving different cuisines. I had seen Bambolina on Yelp with good reviews so I thought I'd try it out instead of Kokeshi. I ordered the sausage pizza, while my girlfriend ordered a ramen dish. The ramen came out in about 15 minutes, and my pizza was still missing. I went ahead and told my girlfriend to start on the ramen since we didn't want it getting cold while waiting for my pizza. We knew it would probably take a little longer than the ramen to come to our table, however the wait got more ridiculous as time went by. I kid you not, my girlfriend finished her entire bowl of ramen before my pizza even came out- probably about 30-35 mins from ordering. The pizza itself was okay. Exactly what I expected. Nothing more, nothing less, which was fine, apart from the wait. When we were finished eating, I gave my card to my waiter. I'm not sure what was going on, but they must have had my card for another 30 minutes with no explanation or update. I was worried they might take my card information with the amount of time they had it, but I didn't see any other suspicious charges. Overall, would not recommend solely due to the wait time of my pizza. It was apparent we weren't the only table with this issue. At least two other tables were waiting 30 plus minutes for their pizza to come out. There was so much to explore in Salem and I feel like waiting around for an average pizza took away from that. read more

Wow, Bambolina absolutely delivered! The hot honey + pepperoni pizza was an instant favorite--crispy, spicy, sweet, and just chef's kiss. The grilled Caesar salad? I was seriously tempted to lick the dressing off the plate--it was that good. The fried chicken on top was juicy and perfectly seasoned, adding the best crunch. We also got the bolognese, which came swimming in rich, flavorful sauce (no complaints here--more sauce, the better!). They were out of the "Jazz Hands" cocktail I had my eye on, but the sangria I subbed in totally made up for it--fruity, fresh, and just what I needed. Got take out and was confused at first by the Asian and Italian menu combo. Went with a couple Italian dishes and the pasta didn't disappoint. A good amount of beef in the sauce and the pasta was well cooked. The pizza was ok, kind of soft and floppy. I tossed it in the air fryer for a few minutes and it got better. read more

This was the 3rd place in Salem we tried that was honestly just meh that we had originally heard great things about. We came in around 7pm with only 2 of us, there were a few ppl seated on the patio and even fewer on the inside so we were immediately seated. However, after being seated it took almost 20mins for a waitress to approach us yet she was standing at the bar talking with other servers the whole time and didn't come to our table until we asked the host to please send someone to us. We ordered drinks to start, and she corrected us on the name of the drinks and we were confused trying to make sure we ordered the correct thing she apologized and said never mind she just pronounces things differently which isn't a problem at all it's just how she made it seem like we were ordering something that wasn't on the menu. We each ordered pizza and an app after and they were all just ok, the bottoms of the pizza were burnt and everything was VERY salty. I've been to Bambolina/Kokeshi's multiple times as I've lived in Salem my whole life and it's one of my favorites. I usually get the ramen specifically the back alley bacon ramen which is always flavorful and hot. I'm not really out during the whole October craze so I'm not sure how the service or ambiance is then, but when it's off season the service is very good and the servers are kind and attentive, also the ambience is peaceful and pleasant. Excellent pizza with a perfect crust. Very nice atmosphere in a prime Salem location. But I would avoid the scallop linguini which is loaded with Calabrian chili peppers and a very heavy broth.
