And that... was totally fine Fresca in the lovely town of Marblehead certainly stands out as one of those local neighborhood gems where all the locals frequent. The place is full of authenticity, character and that wonderful local feel & sense of local pride. The people in Marblehead know Fresca. A casual yet all sorts of awesome pizzeria cooking up a storm in a wood-burning oven & serving a nice list of classic Italian dishes & get this... dessert pizzas. Polenta Frita Did not see this coming!! Certainly did not expect it to be as good as it was! Crispy homemade Parmesan polenta served with house made marinara sauce. I just love these types of local hot spots. A big thank you to Fresca for a great experience. We will certainly be back. A decent pie. I order a cheese, spicy meat, and broccoli/chicken. 2 out of 3 were good. The chicken broccoli was inedible. The broccoli tasted bitter and "off". Overpriced, but then again, this is Marblehead. read more

To night I got the ham and cheese panini at Fresca Pizza & Pasta and it was insanely good. The flavor was on point and the bread was perfectly toasted, crispy outside and soft inside. It also came with fries on the side which were super tasty and made the whole meal really filling. I left full and totally satisfied. Service was great, staff accommodating. Need to reformulate recipes. Soft no flavor crust/dough. Looks good yet little flavor and texture. Sauce has no flavor needs garlic and other real Italian spices. Cheese, pepperoni and fresh mozzarella all very bland. All the equipment is there but could make so much better pizza. I have been to Fresca many times. Their pizzas are the best around. The brick oven was brought over from Italy. They use the best cheeses, the best pepperoni, the best prosciutto, everything. The crust of the pizzas is excellent. They do seem to do mostly take-out, I have never actually sat in there and eaten. Go to Fresca, it is the best in Marblehead. read more

Ordered some takeout for lunch-- the ham and cheese panini and the frescarita pizza lunch specials. I absolutely loved the panini! I appreciated the mix of sweet and savory with the ham&cheese and the guava chutney. And the bread for the panini was so yummy and I suspect is the pizza dough. It came with fries and a drink which for $10, in my opinion, is amazing. (Also the fries were wonderfully seasoned) The frescarita also came with a drink and was $10 for lunch which was awesome. If you're really hungry, it's a great personal size. For me I was plenty full splitting it with someone else. I always love fluffy pizza dough like this. Loved the sauce and thick Buffalo mozzarella used as well. Ordered around 1pm midweek and it was ready in 15 min. Excited to go back! read more

Very confused by the 4.8 star review. We really wanted to love this place. Tried the first time ordering on uber eats. It said it would be 35-40 minutes. The food took almost 2 hours to be delivered (we live 10 minutes away). It was cold and not great. Then we ordered pick up tonight. They told us 25-35 minutes. It took over an hour. Even when we got the food, it was subpar. My panini was soggy, the wings were lukewarm and the pizza was hard. On top of that, they were very rude while we waited an additional 30+ minutes for our food. read more

Driving to Marblehead from New York to a friends Birthday tomorrow and was starving but had to purchase a dog gift next door to this place Fresca and Pizza. Absolutely in love with the pizza from this place really melts in your mouth. Being that my husband and myself are from NYC wanted to have pizza and pasta couldn't have chosen a better place. Delicious wood fired pizza, I can taste the freshness in my mouth. Pros: Pizza Porto - prosciutto and Zucchini yum still thinking about it Pasta- scampi so fresh and cooked to perfection al dente. The bucatini I thought it would be heavy as usually carbonara can be heavy and it wasn't, light fresh and delicious. Dessert we had the Affogato- yum. Before going back home we have to go back for the sweet pizza on the menu. Customer service was excellent young lady and guy up front were courteous and nice and super fast with your order as we starving after a 4 hour drive. Con: There are NO Cons. My mom and I are visiting Marblehead and didn't expect to visit pizza heaven while here! We ordered the Insalata salad (subbed the Parmesan cream dressing) and the Fonduta pizza. WOW! We were blown away. The crust was delicious - crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The toppings were a perfect combo - super savory and aromatic with the truffle oil. I have been to Fresca over 10 times and really enjoyed it when they first opened (see 4-star review over 2 years ago). Unfortunately, it seems worse each time now; both in quality and attention to detail. The last time we ordered, they misplaced our order and also did not put all topping on the pizza (and also did not apologize for mistake). I decided to give them one more shot; Tonight I had their chicken parm sandwich (special). The sandwich had very little flavor, bread was flimsy and cold and the chicken felt frozen in the middle (absolutely EW). For a premium price ($14.52), I expect premium, quality ingredients. This was strike 3 for me, Fresca is out of the takeout rotation. read more

What a pleasant surprise! Our family just had dinner at the new place in MH and i can't wait to go back. The pizza was perfectly cooked with the freshest of ingredients. The crust was thin, the way we like it, and the sauce was delicious. My daughter had the ghnocci and her comment was " I'll wake up in the middle of the night craving this. Fresca is a newer Italian restaurant in Marblehead and it replaced another restaurant in that same location, they have the some of most authentic Italian food in town because other locations are more Americanized and don't have pasta, they have nice pizza's and I haven't gotten a chance to try their pasta but I want to. They have a nice place with a brick oven, and good service. read more

The guy that left a bad review because he doesn't like the style of pizza should have saved it for his family. Of course if you don't like this style of pizza you're not going to like it. On the other hand, if you're a fan of wood fired crust and generous toppings to the edges then this so the place! The french toast pizza was surprisingly delicious. Not overly sweet and the mushy texture of the banana was offset by the crispness of the crust and the crunch of the candied nuts. Very unique and satisfying.
