Ordered for an office meeting and everyone thought the food was good. I order the burrimongo which is burrito filling wrapped with mofongo instead of a tortilla. Im actually from northern Va/DC area where I've tried various mofongo dishes, some good and some just meh, so for me, I felt the mofongo tasted meh...it lacked flavor or seasoning. I mean it was ok IMO but I probably would order something different next time. read more

Empanellie's - Burrifongo - Empanadas Near Me - Nashua, New Hampshire

For a quick weeknight dinner, I stopped by Empanellie's. While browsing the menu, I decided to try the jibarito - a sandwich made with flattened plantains instead of bread, filled with lettuce, tomato, and a choice of protein ($14). I picked the euphemistically named "steak," which turned out to be ground beef that wasn't even well-browned. The combination of lettuce, tomato, and simply seasoned ground beef tasted a bit too much like a Crunchwrap Supreme. Fresher and twice the size, sure - but still within that same flavor palette. Even the fried green plantains, which should've added some texture, had steamed into mild sogginess from the foil wrap, despite me ordering it for dine-in. Maybe I'll try the Cubano or the empanadas next time. The jibarito was fine, but definitely overhyped here and on Google Reviews. read more

Empanellie Puerto Rican Cuisine - A Hidden Gem in Nashua Empanellie Puerto Rican Cuisine in Nashua, NH, is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Puerto Rican flavors. As a Puerto Rican myself, I was incredibly impressed with the quality, taste, and presentation of the food. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and vibrant decor, featuring a mural of dancing jibaritos, immediately transported me back to my roots. The service was exceptional, with our waitress going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. From the mouthwatering Alcapurrias and empanadillas to the unforgettable jibarito and mofongo, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. Even my non-Puerto Rican friends were blown away by the flavors and textures. One thing that truly sets Empanellie apart is its commitment to customer satisfaction. When I realized my jibarito contained mayuketchup (to which I'm allergic), the staff immediately remade it without hesitation. Their kindness and attention to detail were truly commendable!!! Highlights of our meal: - Alcapurrias: Crispy and golden brown on the outside, with a savory and flavorful filling on the inside. - Empanadillas: Flaky and buttery crusts filled with a delicious combination of steak and cheese or chicken and cheese. - Jibarito: A mouthwatering sandwich made with plantains, pork, cheese, and tomatoes. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the pork, which was lean and flavorful. - Mofongo: A hearty and satisfying dish made with mashed plantains, topped with your choice of protein and sauce. We tried the chicken chicharron and mofongo sandwich styles, and both were delicious. - Burrifongo: A unique and flavorful creation that combines the best of both mofongo and sandwiches. The rice, beans, chicken, cheese, and mayuketchup (a Puerto Rican specialty similar to Thousand Island dressing) were a perfect combination. - Tres Leches: A decadent and creamy cake that was the perfect ending to our meal. - Yuka Fries: Perfectly fried and incredibly delicious. Even I, a Yuka skeptic, was impressed by these fries. What I loved most about Empanellie was the ability to customize every dish to my preference. Unlike many other restaurants, they were more than happy to accommodate my requests and ensure that I had the perfect meal. This attention to detail made my dining experience even more enjoyable. A special shout-out to our amazing waitress. Her exceptional service and friendly demeanor made our dining experience even more memorable. Unfortunately, I forgot her name, but I won't forget her kindness and professionalism. Overall, our experience at Empanellie was exceptional. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was top-notch. If you're looking for a truly authentic Puerto Rican dining experience, Empanellie is a must-try. It's a hidden gem that will leave you craving more. The next time I visit my bestie, I'll definitely be coming back here! Even the day after, I can't stop thinking about that incredible jibarito. All the food we had was absolutely delicious, but the jibarito was something else. Even my best friend and her daughters (who aren't Puerto Rican) loved it. read more

The Half dozen empanadas great price. Had cbr, veggie, plantain, beef and cheese, pastalon, veggie was awesome all were very good. Will be back! Love the side sauce. Quick service. Thanks for being open Christmas Eve. read more

Really good empanadas, lots of selection for fillings. Try them all, even if it sounds like something you wouldn't like. Pastelon ones are fantastic, and they have more basic choices (pizza, ham and cheese, etc) if you have picky eaters. On top of the empanadas, we had both a Cuban and the Jibarito sandwich and they were fantastic. Great prices, quick, easy. Can't ask for much more. read more

So yummy!!! Fast delivery, warm food, taste amazing, will be ordering again. Right by my work.

This place is so good!! Consistently good all the time. Our favs are the Jabarito!! Supper nice staff read more

Nothing special. Empanadas were bland. Meat was dry, shell was limp, soft, and cold. They don't serve salsa, salt or any condiments to spice it up. It really needed it. Tossed half my order in the bin. My advice is come at lunch time. read more

Brand new in town, Empanellie's offers amazing empanadas! These deep fried pockets of perfection come in a variety of flavors... from the more traditional to the more inventive. We tried a variety to get a sense of what they do best. The answer: everything! My favorite was actually not an empanada, but rather the Yuca- crispy breaded outside, starchy creamy yuca goodness on the inside, and deep inside some perfectly seasoned beef. It checks all the boxes on texture and flavor. Add in a yummy dipping sauce and you're set. Next I loved the Pastelone- beef cheese and plantain. Does it ever get any better than a perfect mix of sweet and savory? The chicken and cheese was next up with some delicious seasoning on the chicken. The beef and cheese was also delicious. Beefier than the pastelone and sans plantain if you're more of a carnivore. For fun we tried the pepperoni pizza empanada which was also yummy. The girl behind the counter recommended the Buffalo chicken one, and after trying the chicken and cheese I know that one will also be great so that one will happen next time. And then, to top it all off, they bring in desserts from Dulce in Manchester. I'm a sucker for Tres Leches anything, and their Tres Leches parfaits is one of the best I've had- creamy, cakey, rich layers, I'd choose this dessert over any other most days. I got the dulce de leche for some extra richness, but if you like a little fruit to brighten the flavor the guava was also amazing. The Latin buffet looked astounding so we will have to go back to try it. In short, this new business deserves all your support... especially for opening in the tough times we are living in! read more

Amazing! Great good, recommend the Mofongo. Loved most of the food but slightly heavy. Delicious though!

Nashua is really having some great luck with new restaurants, and this place definitely qualifies. I've only ever had empanadas maybe on 6 occasions, so I'm not an expert, but these were EASILY the best ones I've ever had. I tried 3, the spinach and cheese, ham and cheese, and Buffalo. They were all really good, but I think I liked the Buffalo the best. I also got a Cubano. It was a pretty good sandwich, but they forgot to press it, so instead of crispy bread, I got just the standard bread, slightly warm. Will definitely eat here again, and you should as well. read more

To keep it simple... it was just delicious home cooked Latin food. I strongly recommend

I give this place 5 stars: Clean, Covid savvy,Courteous service and a very satisfying Latin American menu. Food is served from the counter with a small seating area. Stewed beef and chicken over rice with sweet plantains cooked just right. More takeout oriented than eat in. Parking in the West Pearl St. area is not an issue. Wow! Stopped in last week while visiting my in-laws and I am so happy we found Empanellie's. We ordered a dozen, three different kinds (chicken, beef and cheese, and buffalo chicken) and each was amazing. The portion sizes are very generous - stuffed to the brim! The owner and the staff were very attentive and they did a great job with the decor, it makes me feel like I am back in PR! We are excited to go back and check out some of the other flavors and the other menu items. read more
