Food don't have flavor they use too much cumin in all the meats. Chicken or pork taste the same. They don't have the natural color of the meat. They look supper yellow vary dissatisfied. I was expecting more Colombian flavor. Service ok. Price ok

Pleasantly surprised in finding this authentic Columbian restaurant in Lowell. Now the challenge is no one speaks any English there, but it adds to the vibe. Using my broken English I finally figures out the waitress was asking me if I wanted the complimentary empanada, which when it was served was piping hot, crunchy, well seasoned and very good. Then I had their regional plate of white rice, red beans, chiccaron, pork cutlet, arepa, egg over easy and a tostone. All items were on point, with that authentic Columbian taste that I am familiar with, served piping hot within 10 minutes of placing the order. Their side of home made vinegar based hot sauce made my taste buds the sweat to happily roll off my forehead. I will eat here again.

Paid a visit to Asados Dona Flor recently and the food overall was good. I tried the Bandeja Paisa small, which was very good, and huge to say the least. The main issue I had with them is their pricing. I've ordered a side order of chicharron through here and found out they charge $3 for one very small piece. Even though it is good, I can't see myself coming here to pay that price for a small piece of pork when other restaurants in the city charge less, or provide a much larger amount.

Spectacular, authentic Columbian food! Very friendly staff - it helps if you can speak Spanish, but the menu does have English translations if needed. Portions are generous and everything is seasoned to perfection! This is how my grandmother would prepare her dishes. Latino comfort food at its best! Highly recommend!

Amazing authentic Columbian food. Ordered Arroz con Pollo & Tostones con Queso (Plantains with Cheese) appetizer. Delicious food served fast, piping hot by a friendly server. It is true, they don't speak English, but if that's what it takes to get amazing Columbian food, cool by me. Anyway, the menu items are numbered so if you can't communicate a number to a Spanish speaking server then perhaps you should stick to Applebee's.

Although the restaurant doesn't have a website, the Colombian restaurant opened its doors about 8 years ago. The exterior looks a bit shabby but once you walk in the restaurant, it boats a great Hispanic cultural ambiance. There were heating tables tucked in a corner on the right. There were grilled meats and fried food in one and pastries in the other. In the pastries section, there were things that resembled bagels and turnovers. I scoped out the selection for some appetizer choices. While we were there, there were customers that came in just to order from that section. The owner didn't speak English but he called his daughter to come by and answer my questions. We were seated by the entrance and brought menus. My husband ordered a mango juice and was asked if he wanted it with water or milk. We were both surprised. Mango with milk? Never heard of that before, needless to say, he went with the water option. The juice was served in a large carafe, enough for 4 servings at only $3.50. For starters, we split two types of fried stuffed goodies and an order of tostones, fried plantains. The empanadas tasted a bit old and the wrap was chewy and tough. It was served with a homemade hot sauce that I enjoyed very much. The tostones were good and served with a ketchup/mayo blend sauce, almost like a lighter version of Thousand island dressing. For lunch, my husband went with the traditional Colombian "Bandeja Paisa" platter. There were two sizes and he opted for the smaller one. As you can see, the smaller one was still huge. The meal consisted of chicharron (fried pork belly), sausage, sweet plantains, rice, eggs, steak, beans, arepa (cooked flour patty) and "carne en polvo" which is Colombian style "powdered beef." Although we really should have split the above platter, I ordered my own entree and went with the arroz pollo which is simply rice cooked with chicken broth or stock and shredded chicken. Although it's not fancy, its super delicious and a staple in many Spanish and Latin cuisine. The rice and chicken was on point and I loved the sweet plantains. I wasn't a fan of the ketchup garnish and could have done without the generic crinkle cut fries. Of course our eyes were bigger than our stomach and we couldn't finish our meal. We still had so much leftover. Service was friendly and extremely patient with us as we asked questions about the menu. We would definitely return again and this time order less. I would also check out the specials for the day as I saw the whiteboard on or way out. There were rice and pork special with soup for $6.95. For two entrees, two non alcoholic drinks and 3 apps, our bill was about $39.00.

A small neighborhood restaurant. It was my first time having Colombian food. I could tell it was very authentic. We were the only non-Spanish speaking customers in the restaurant. When I looked at the menu, it was in Spanish with limited English translation. Empanadas, guacamole, pollo were the few words I knew. So I turned to the waitress to help and she spoke limited English too. I ordered Arepa de chocolo (without knowing what it was), empanadas, mixed rice beans, Colombian scramble eggs, regional plate and grilled beef steak. There was customers sitting next to our table. I talked to him and found out he was from Colombia. He said the empanadas tasted just like home. He ate empanadas with hot sauce and invited me to try. When the waitress saw me dipping the hot sauce, she brought one out for me. Obviously, it was how the locals eat. After the meal, I also picked up some pastries without knowing what they were from their small pastries section. The food was delicious especially the crackling pork (Spanish-chicharron). For me, it was not only the food but also the experience was very interesting. I picked up a few Spanish words after this meal. How cool is that when a dining experience could give me the feeling of a tourist traveling to Colombia and had a meal there!!

I got the bandeja paisa and to me the food was alright. I felt like it was lacking of flavors. The empanadas were really good to me .

When we got there we were a little confused because it was also a store. towards the back they have a little restaurant and a menu where you can choose how many pieces of chicken you want with fries or plantains. However, while we were waiting in line we talked to someone that frequents the establishment and they said to not order off of that menu and just go further down the line and order off what's on the table. So I took her advice and ordered some Spanish rice with chicken stew and one piece of fried Chicken. The food smelled amazing the entire drive home and when we got home we started to eat. There was a lot of rice which is great but not needed and the chicken was very good. I actually preferred the fried over the stew but that's just me. I'm sure if I had more of the stew sauce on the rice it would have made a bigger difference but I didn't have a lot on my plate. Over all the places good and I would love to go back again and try something new.

It's a market with a counter where the staff are continuously cooking. To my surprise they had fried pork. I had to have it. And it was delicious. Great place. Will make it one of my regular stops.
