His salad dressing will literally turn you into a salad person even if you don't enjoy or typically opt for a salad. There is a little vinegar-based pepper condiment for the feijoada that perfectly balances the wieght of the dish. Don't sleep on any of the little liquids in plastic cups that are served to you. They are all gold. The few issues I've had are regarding communication to customers. I've driven to the restaurant during normal business hours THREE times in a row to find them closed. On two occasions they closed early because it was a slow day. This is especially odd because their hours are lunch-focused as opposed to dinner focused. This is common in Brazil but I feel a little out of place in the U.S. Being closed for dinner is not great, in my personal opinion. Another time they were closed for participating in a culture festival, which is wonderful, but when I called before coming there was no automated message or any type of communication at all informing me that they wouldn't be open that day. It was irritating. Despite the above, when you can make it in, call to make sure they are actually there, and your visit will be well worth it. They are a tiny, family-run kitchen, and I'm ok overlooking to bumps in the road for superb food and very nice people.
