Whenever I feel like Indian food, or just want some good food for a mall food court, I like to come here. The prices are reasonable, the food is always hot and fresh. I usually get the sag paneer with the chicken tikka malsa, and you get rice or nan. I get the rice. I like cheese nan but they only have plain nan. All in all, if you like Indian food, you will enjoy it here. read more

Had the Saag Paneer, Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Korma w/rice. WOW! Every once in a while you come across authentic ethnic food and this joint doesn't disappoint. Figure it's in a Food court so expectations weren't high. This place over delivered. Knowledgeable staff from near New Delhi took the time to explain the difference in seasoning and spices of each so I could make the best choices for my palette. read more

Food was good. However, the menu said combos come with rice or plain naan. The guy asked me 'rice or naan'. I said naan. He called for a naan, then proceeded to give me rice as well and I got charged for both. read more

We ordered the Chola Bhatura yesterday and it was delicious. The chola was flavorful but not overly greasy or spicy. The bhaturas were fresh and melt in your mouth. The pickle they serve along with it was amazing too! Highly recommend. read more

Great Indian restaurant. My wife's favorite place for dosas. Well worth a trip to the mall.

First off, this review is for their catering offerings, not the brick-and-mortar restaurant, which I have not been to. I had the pleasure of tasting Gourmet India at my cousin's wedding. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience. As a Desi, myself, my standards are high, so my default rating for any South Asian restaurant on this hemisphere is zero stars. Many places fall short of that, even. Yes, I'm harsh. Yet, Gourmet India's buffet food was fantastic, and compelled me to get up for a second helping. Nearly everyone raved about the food. I thought the appetizers were pretty good, though I generally don't like South Asian appetizers. Even the salad (which was deceptively spicy) was good. Other standard fare was exceptional. Examples include almost all of their chicken dishes. I especially enjoyed their chicken dopiaza and malai chicken. Their vegetable dishes were also excellent, such as the bhindi (okra), the malai kofta, and their daal makhani (lentils in butter-based sauce). I ate enough where I didn't save space for dessert. I actually have a picture of the gulab jamun, because all the other food I devoured too quickly to capture. If you are in the Boston area, and need a South Asian caterer, I would recommend Gourmet India. read more

Out of all of the different options in the food court at the mall this is the place that I usually hit up. For mall food court dining this is definitely pretty good tasting Indian food and I do enjoy it. They offer a combo meal that consists of two entrees and a choice of either basmati rice or nan bread and that is usually the combo meal that I go with. They have two other combos, one being served with 2 entrees, rice or nan and an appetizer and the last combo includes 3 entrees and either rice or nan which is a good one to pick if you're there and have a big appetite at the time. You may choose whichever entrees you wish for your combo but at least one of the entrees must be vegetarian. They have all of their entrees displayed behind a glass window at the counter so you can see exactly what they are offering. When I am there I usually get the Chicken Korma on my combo along with a vegetable curry and I always opt for the rice instead of the nan bread. The meal is always delicious and I always get a very fair amount of food for the price I paid. The last time I was there I saved some room for dessert and I went ahead and tried their rice pudding which was delicious as well. The service is always right on point, friendly and efficient. read more

This place is great. The food is good, the prices are great. The samosas are a real standout -- some of the best I've had anywhere. So lucky to be able to get this delicious food at the mall food court. read more

These guys came to the common cafeteria where I work in Waltham today; off of Winter Street. A fan of Indian food since 1988, I can honestly say these guys are frauds and rip off artists. What I got: a half cup of stale/hardened basmati rice, 3 cubes of chicken tikka Masala and two fatty/grizzly pieces of chicken curry, topped off with a piece of cold wet and soggy naan. Price $12.00. What an absolute friggin rip off for some shitty/mediocre food from the food court at your local mall. Cheap bastards. In retrospect, I should have driven to Moody and gone to one of the places there. Gourmet India, never again. One star. read more

I hadn't been to this mall in ages and didn't expect much for food options. Luckily I found Indian food and of course hit up their veg options. Exceeded all expectations- never thought a mall kiosk would be so delicious. Great price for their 2 entree combo, a ton of food (which was amazing as leftovers later). Spicy but I love spice. Truly a gem at the mall. read more

Gourmet India - Tandoori Chicken Mess. Way too spicy and over cooked. Very unappealing too. - Indian Near Me - Burlington, Massachusetts

Excellent food in a food court! The staff can some times be rude or have you waiting but most of the time they are friendly and quick. The food is always hot and delicious! My favorites are chicken korma and a North Indian dumpling sauce ( that's no the real name I just can't remember but it is a yellow yogurt based sauce with onion dumplings.) or a chicken Kathy roll. Which is chicken curry and veggies wrapped up in a naan. I normally get naan which is always baked to order. They have a few different naan. Garlic naan is my favorite of them all. The portions look small but truly is plenty to fill one person. They also have a variety of both vegetarian and meat options along with teas and lassie. I enjoy this place very much. If I'm in the mood for something warm and I'm at the mall, this is where I go. I give the four starts because there have been times where their servers were rude to me or unfriendly, but the food it good! read more

Rude service The owner thinks that just because he serves us food he is doing us a favor . May I remind you we pay you and we are your providers hospitality is the key for survival of any business. They lack manners and any common courtesy. In india guest is treated like god and feeding people is the biggest order of good deed . These guys think and treat customers like beggars I hope they learn the art of service with a smile and are kind to old people and small children They refused to give water to a small child . No - just avoid. Food too bad. Ordered parathas which was not fully cooked, chat did not have enough sweet or sour or anything

Gourmet India is a diamond in the rough, right in the middle of burlington mall's food court (one of the best mall food courts anywhere!). The value is incredible, and the food is really good. We came during a Saturday for lunch and lucky us they have a more authentic special menu for weekends only. There were tons and tons of Indian customers going here on Saturday. We opted for the Tikki chaat which was fried potato patties topped with all sorts of great toppings (just say yes to everything). At only $6.95 this was enough for a meal and it was a great dish. We also shared a 2 entree combo for $7.95. This came with a large freshly baked naan. You can see the guy making the naan behind the counter! The Palak Paneer was good and the chicken korma very good, with fall apart tender chicken. The real gems are definitely the chaat and weekend specials, try at least one! We'll definitely be back, weekend or otherwise to try more of the great food here. At under 20$ for a meal for 2, it's a real steal. read more

Pretty good Indian food, I know it's in a Food Court at the mall but it really a its that bad I was surprised (pleasantly) to find. They give you a good amount of food and it's a good price. The Palak Paneer and the Chicken Tikka Masala was good, the Naan was a little under cooked. I'd give it a try if your in the mall and looking for something different or don't be afraid to try it if you like Indian food (because it's in the mall). read more

Had chicken vindaloo and regular nan both were delicious. Will definitely come again.

Food: -Tandoori Chicken, Very flavorful, I enjoyed the curry spices. Chicken was a little dry though. -Nan, I only got the plain nan, but it was good. It wasn't hard or too soft. Presentation: -Gourmet India doesn't really catch your eye when you walk through the food court at Burlington. Their menu is difficult to order from, and their descriptions hardly helpful. It IS just a food court stand, but they could do a little better with presentation. Staff: -Can't say much about food court staff. However, they need to work on basic operations such as wearing gloves when serving food. The guy practically swabbed my to-go container with his hands. Then he handed me a flaming hot wrap of nan. Final thoughts: -Food is definitely something different to try out instead of the usual asian/american food at the food courts. If they brush up on their presentation, they'd be a lot better. read more

Love this place so much!!! I've spent time in India, and this is the most authentic Indian restaurant I've found in the Boston area. I always get a combo with veggie dishes and naan. Always incredibly tasty. Only downside is that since it's in the mall, you can't get near it from Thanksgiving to New Years. read more

The man taking the order was very rude. I asked for Kathi Roll after 8:00 PM and he literally snapped on me for asking it. He was so furious that I was scared that he'll hit me. Worst customer service experience ever. read more

I ordered masala dosa here and I'll give3.5 stars for the taste but the reason I give 1 star over all is because they gave very very less chutney for a big dosa and when I asked for more, he initially refused and then when I made an angry face he said ok n gave literally less than 1small spoon. This is as bad as it can get when it comes to food. It was humiliating. Also the katti rolls are not really katti rolls. There is now egg in them like they advertise in the picture. It says chicken kabob roll but they just put some curry chicken in a frozen paratha and serve it. Rip off! read more

Despite being in the middle of a mall food court, this is probably one of the most authentic Indian restaurants in the area according to my Indian friends. The food is always fresh, they have the best selections and you get a lot of food for your dollar. The staff here is friendly and I dont mind schlepping into the mall to grab this food on the way home. It is a fresher alternative to nasty food court Chinese or Cajun chicken garbage offerings. read more

Gourmet India is just like real India except for none of the confusing language barriers and you can use a sit-down toilet only a few feet away, but you won't need it - this food is the best so you won't shit your pants like you might if you ate anywhere else in the food court. I literally eat here every day and I am in peak physical shape. I owe it all to Gourmet India. read more

We finally got to try something from this place.. They have very tasty items.. I did not find the real essence of indian food as good as this place is last 2 yrs I spent in US. We ordered an onion masala dosa and it was at it's best. I have given 3 stars cos of the service.. If you don't keep asking them for your order you'll be forgotten and pushed to last. We were standing infront of the counter for 15 to 20 mins and he served our order to someone who came behind us.. When we asked he said that they came before we did, but actually they came behind us and atleast 2 members behind.. read more

One of the worst experiences I ever had a we go for our wedding tasting. We reached out to the owner months prior and still no Response. Once we do have a menu that we provided them they come sayin we also have another offer in hand so whoever gives the deposit first. Dude you didn't respond to me for months when I reached out multiple times. We go the the tasting expecting the person we are talking to would be present instead the father who had no communication with us prior was there. Rudely sits at the same table as the bride groom and parents and stares at us while we taste. Come back to us asking why something we tried was not on the menu and we say I don know I gave you what I wanted and the items we want to try. Instead of understanding and giving he then starts being rude to us and says "did you want to try the pickle to"? Who the hell are you to say that to me when I'm giving you the business. Instead of being nice and catering the old men was rude and started arguing saying we have business for 26 years. That's why you only have one Restuarnat out of the 7 you owed right..... we walked out there and mind you the tasting was in a food court of the mall while they had a nice indoor restaurant they used to own. We didn't get the service we should have or the respect. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. If you want to be disrespected then gladly go but otherwise we had plenty of other places that have us try 20 items rather then be cheap and make one entree only. The owner said you will get the feel for our food just by trying ONE ENTREE. What a joke. DONT GO HERE SERVICE IS REALLY BAD AND RUDE. read more

Pros: They make fresh naan in the tandoor oven Cons: Ok I'm from India....and I have to say that this place offers average but overpriced Indian food. There is nothing "gourmet" about this place. The serving staff needs to lighten up a little and learn how to smile read more

I ate here a number of times and loved it and was very excited about it. But I've since then had a couple of bad experinces that make me not want to eat here anymore. First was one time when I ordered food and I asked for it to stay. The guy poured the food into the container. I realized that I might spill it while trying to navigate through the pre-christmas crowds to find a table. So I asked for a lid so it wouldn't spill. Instead of giving me a lid the guy dumped some of the food out. I was too shocked to say anything. But I was pissed And other time I found a hair in my food that was def not mine. ew read more

Amazing food. Very disrespectful and rude employees. A suggestion is not welcomed at this restaurant, it is frowned upon and the employees back answer instead of just agreeing, even if it means to keep the cliental happy. Never had a bad experience here, but today, the employee serving food was not interested in customer service and mentioned "that's not we are here for." Shame, I love the food here, but will not be returning after the ill treatment. This happened while the other employees stood by letting the customer get disrespected. Though I am indian, he choose to differentiate, and decided to be nicer to the Americans and other nationalities. This place will not make money if this is how customers are continued to be treated. They have lost my business for good! read more

Best Indian food outside of Boston, definitely best quality food in the mall. The chicken is cooked just right.

Beyond expectations for a food court restaurant. I didn't really like indian food when I first tried it several years ago, but I have gradually developed a taste for it, especially after eating here. The Chicken Tiki Masala is excellent with basmati rice. You can tell the chicken has been stewed for a long time because it is so tender. The sauce has the perfect blend of spices, not too creamy either, but can be a little oily sometimes. Also try the onion bhaji - fried onion balls - and remember to ask for the sauce that goes with it. It's not just food court food: I've even gotten take-out dinner here because its that good. Service is friendly, too. read more

The food deserves a 4 star rating, but I had to dock a couple of stars off for the consistently HORRIBLE service. Not only will they upcharge you to high heaven with hidden extra fees on certain food items, they will give you dirty looks and grunt at you. Every. Single. Time. They will rush the hell out of you. I agree with Peter P. on presentation and the menu. Both are difficult to read. I know that the area has a prominent South Asian population, but what about people who want to try the cuisine for the first time? read more

BUG IN FOOD..I ordered a combo meal. My first bite impression was..Stale rice..eeeeew..And after few bites i saw a dead bug in my aloo muttar. I took my plate back and the guy was so reluctant to accept its a bug. I had to finally turn the dead bug upside down to show him its legs. Then he believed me. He just offered to replace that dish with another. That was rude. They just dont maintain the food standards. Gourmet india offers combos which people feel like having for lunch.
