Reviews made it sound better than it actually is. Rotisserie chicken was reasonably tender but flavorless. Mulligatawny soup was good.

My…read morecolleague and I were on business and when we're traveling, we like to find good places to eat of varying styles. Indian is one of my favorites and this was a fairly short drive from our hotel in Waltham. We made a reservation but that did not seem to be at all necessary. It was a Monday night and it was not particularly busy. We were seated right away. They featured a very pleasant dining room and we were able to secure a table by the front window. This was a great spot and added to our experience. The service was very good. We were attended to quickly and well cared for throughout our time there. The food came out in a timely manner well presented at the appropriate temperature. My colleague opted for the Creamy Coconut Chicken. I tried a bite of this and was favorably impressed. In addition, he had a Mango Lassi to which he also gave a thumbs-up. I had the Fish Curry, which I ordered at a medium level in terms of spice. It was very tasty as it had just the right amount of kick. He ordered the Garlic Naan to accompany his meal while I had my favorite type of Indian bread (my favorite type of bread period, really) Peshwari Naan. We were both happy with these choices. I also had a glass of cabernet which turned out to be a decent choice. Our final bill that included food, drinks, tax and tip was $86. At $43 per person in this inflationary time, I was happy enough with the value given the quality of the fare and the overall experience. I would be happy to make a return visit.

Starving and quickly looking through UberEats for still open and delivering restaurants at that time of the night (two cancelled after accepting the order), ordered from Haveli, order arrived in 32 mins, not bad given how far they were from the delivery location. Haveli passed the north indian food test with a 6/5 dal makhni. For those of you familiar with North India's iconic lentil dish, Haveli's version is a more heartier version closer to the Dal Maharani you'll find in a highway dhaaba aka roadside food stall or in a Punjabi household. Glad it wasnt loaded with cream or butter and let the texture and spices shine through. Tandoori Roti flatbread and rice (lentils come with rice) were ideal accompaniments. Would have tried them again if we lived in the area. Those of you who do, the reviews are true!

It came to mind when I was craving Indian food this evening and surpassed my expectations. It was quiet inside, so very easy to hold a conversation. Not overwhelming or overstimulating the way most restaurants are typically. I felt I needed to try something other than my typical tikka masala, and the waitress recommended the lamb curry. It came with a generous portion of rice, and we also ordered naan. The naan came out warm and flavorful, and my lamb was sweet, spicy, and delicious. I filled up on rice simply so I could have some lamb left to take home. Otherwise, I would have polished it off very quickly. The water is not iced, which was perfectly fine, as I prefer my water to not be overly chilled. I ordered a mango lassi to finish off my meal and it had a rich mango taste, though was thinner than most lassis I have had. This is neither a positive nor a negative; and in fact, I did manage to drink it all without procuring a stomach ache. So that is a win. Our waitress was attentive, though perhaps not friendly. She took our order correctly and efficiently and split the check for us at the end. I would most certainly return and am eager to try their other dishes.

A person came out and seated us right away while mentioning that things were very slow. i was surprised since it was a Friday night during peak dinner hours. I ordered garlic naan as well as chicken tikka masala. The naan was absolutely fantastic!! I ordered my tikka masala to be mild but I found it somewhat spicy. It was still delicious and I enjoyed it. Restaurant appears dated and in need of some updates. Service was good.

I ordered the chana masala, veggie samosa, and a Taj Mahal beer. These are my usual go to items, and all of them delivered. I ordered medium spice and it was perfect. Just enough heat that I was sweating a little, but still going back for more. Very good balance and flavor. The menu has plenty of options and covers both Indian and Nepalese dishes, which makes it easy to come back and try different things. Food quality felt strong across the board. Service was quick and friendly. Inside, there is plenty of seating and a comfortable, casual setup. They had pleasant, modern Indian music playing, which added to the atmosphere. It is right on Broadway in Teele Square, so easy to get to. The only minor downside was some loud chatter between staff, which could be a little distracting at times. Overall, this is a reliable neighborhood spot with very good food and solid service. Based on this visit, I am comfortable rounding up to a five star review. I will be back.

I asked for medium spice and it had a good kick. There was a side of onion chutney that added some nice zip to balance the richness of the butter chicken sauce. That spicy chicken tika sauce yes!…read more Came here for dinner on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded. The restaurant is nice with a few tables for dining in but there is also an order at the counter for pick up and to go orders. My bf and I decided to order some veggie momos to start and decided to share the chicken tika and the chickpea masala. The waiter was very nice and attentive and quickly took our order. The momos came with a yummy sauce which we enjoyed as we dipped each Momo with ever bite. When the chicken tika came out it was sizzling and smoking and it was so loud because it was on a hot cast iron dish and it smelled so good! The chicken tika came with this super tasty, spicy dipping sauce which I had never had with this dish before, and it really blew us away! I wanted a bucket of this sauce on all my meats! ASAP! The chicken was super tender and juicy and the sauce made it irresistible! We really liked this dish and quickly finished it. We each should of gotten our own order of chicken tika! The naan bread with the chickpeas masala was perfect and our rice was nice and fluffy. We thought we were going to have leftovers but we literally wiped our plates clean! Everything was delicious, savory and so good! We will definitely be back for that chicken tika and spicy sauce and this time I'm not sharing! Hahaha!

The restaurant was comfy; there was an electric fireplace on the wall which made the room feel homey. We got fried pork momos, which were delicious and juicy. I was interested in trying the C-style, but we had a non-spice eater at the table. I got the pork chili from the appetizer menu and garlic naan for my meal, and my companions got the chow mein and sekuwa. The chow mein looked standard and sekewa was grilled chicken served with puffed rice (looked like rice krispies). Everyone was happy with their meals, but I especially loved mine. There were slices of pork belly in a flavorful sauce with tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. Note that the pork belly still has the skin on it (which I personally love). My only complaint was at medium, the food seemed mild, but I'll be clearer of my spice preferences next time. I would definitely come back specifically for the pork chili!

Decent South Asian and Nepalese place with surprisingly a karaoke night!…read more The bara is a fried pancake of sorts, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dipping sauce was good as well, possibly a mint-like flavor. The pork momos were really good too, with nice crimping on the skin and decent fillings inside. The chicken vindaloo was decent, though I might have liked more specificity to the flavoring of the vindaloo. The potatoes were nicely textured. The chicken bites were a bit large, they could have been chopped up a bit. The gorkhali khasi (a goat curry) was fairly decent with tender nice pieces. The flavoring was oversalted and again could have used a tad more definition. The bone-in aspect was appreciated as it held the flavor of the meat. The bhindi masala (okra) was fairly successful with a solid infusion of flavor into the okra. The dish was overall too oily though and some steps need to be taken to minimize the oil. All in all quite enjoyable!
