Marsal seating area - A family of three, including a woman, a man, and a young girl, are seated at a booth in a restaurant. The woman and girl are eating together, while the man is sitting across from them. The restaurant has a warm color scheme with framed mountain landscape pictures on the wall, a tiled floor, and a ceiling with recessed lighting.

The buffet was ready at 11:30 as advertised. The food was average.... What you would expect at a buffet: Tandori chicken, goat meat, Dahl, lentils with cheese. They had naan on my table when I returned from the buffet so that was a plus but I am not sure it was freshly made since it was cold. There was nothing special about this buffet. What you see is what you get. The dining area has a window into the kitchen so if I wanted to, I could have seen what was going on in the kitchen. The outer windows open for nice days. The temperature started to heat up so they closed the windows. The parking is metered on the street. It was ok if I were in a pinch I would return.

Every single time. It's consistent, happy people, delicious food, quick service. Nothing on the menu is bad. I've tried almost everything. It's a lively atmosphere ok for a fun date or to bring kids. Chicken korma, chicken patak, tandoori chicken, garlic naan.... All very good. Mild, medium, hot, or extra spicy options for most dishes. The rice... even the rice makes me happy. Come here, you'll be happy too.

A white plate holds a variety of Indian and Nepali cuisine, including rice, vegetable curries, dumplings, and fried items. The dishes are arranged around the plate, with some garnished with herbs or sauces. The background shows a wooden table with a glass, a phone, and other dining items, indicating a restaurant setting.

Solid spot for Indian food! I went for the lunch buffet and everything was really good. It was pretty full but didn't have to wait on a Sunday afternoon. My favorites were the dal makhani and the chicken tandoori. FYI- you can't order off the menu at lunch time, it's just the buffet, but they had a good selection. Would go again!

1127 Broadway is in two places, the map shows NY, but the pick-up location is correct. Freaked me out!!

Food was great. One issue is that on the website's online ordering page, once you complete the order and get the confirmation number, there's a bit of a panic because the map shows the address in the wrong place. They need to find out how to fix this because I panicked I bought food 4 hours away.

Palak Paneer and okra - A close-up of a plate containing Indian cuisine, featuring white basmati rice in the center, surrounded by spinach curry, okra curry, and a lentil-based dish with a reddish-orange sauce. The food is served on a white plate with green decorative patterns.

Delicious indian food! I have been to Masala and ordered takeout several times over the years and food and service has remained consistently good. Most recently tried the okra, palak paneer, garlic naan and samosas and everything was delish. They have limited street parking. Have been able to get tables without reservations.

Lunch buffet - A restaurant interior features a buffet table covered with a white tablecloth, holding several stainless steel chafing dishes with lids, each accompanied by serving spoons and small plates. The wall behind the table displays framed artwork, including a portrait and landscape scenes. A glass door at the entrance allows natural light to enter, and the floor is tiled with brown ceramic tiles.

The price is right for this lunch buffet! The food was as expected for a buffet, but they offered a nice variety of dishes and the garlic naan was delicious!

Chicken korma - A metal bowl contains chicken korma, an Indian dish with a thick, orange-colored sauce and pieces of chicken. The dish is garnished with chopped cilantro. The bowl is placed on a dark wooden table, with a spoon inside. In the background, there is a white plate with some food remnants and a person wearing a black and white shirt. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant serving Indian cuisine.

Coconut naan was lovely, but I've had better chicken tikka masala. Spicy level could be higher!

Best Indian buffet I've had in the U.S...so far. Affordable pricing too. One request however - could you please add some veg momos alongside the chicken momos. Indian cuisine is incomplete without vegetarian options on the menu, as is convention.

I liked every dish ordered: got a butter chicken and a tikka, both were very good - the mango chutney was great too.

That being said, the place was packed after 7 so consider what time you're coming when trying to walk in without a reservation. The entrance is up the stairs and as soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted with a great view of Winthrop Park and the surrounding area. We were promptly seated and the lively wait staff came and took our drink order shortly thereafter. We started with the complimentary papadum and chutneys and our appetizer order of hara bhara kebab which was a nice vegetarian fritter. For our entrees, we got the baingan bhartan, chicken tikka masala (dairy free one), yellow daal tadka, tandoori roti, onion kulcha, and paneera bharura. The breads were all fantastic and I enjoyed the chicken tikka masala (dairy free made with coconut milk) just to see how it was different from a standard chicken tikka masala. For dessert, we got the gajar halwa (which was awesome!) and kulfi. Overall, I'm glad to have finally tried this place and may revisit it again in the future. Worth considering if you're in the area.

Our server was incredibly attentive and would always make sure to follow up and that everything is good. There was a plate that we had that had a stain on it. Our server noticed immediately and swapped out the plate without us having to tell him. He refilled our waters as soon as he saw that our glasses were empty. Compared to the first time that I was here, I think the service remains excellent and unchanged. The quality of the food was amazing. Overall, the dishes were delicious. I enjoy the blend of spices and flavors that you could taste within the food. In terms of food quality, this is easily becoming my favorite Indian restaurant in Boston. I appreciate the restaurant location and internal setup. The restaurant is nestled near Harvard Square on the second floor with a nice view to the local neighborhood around Cambridge. There were many tables by the window so customers could enjoy the ambience. Overall, would recommend. If I find myself returning to Boston, I will definitely make time to stop by again.

Server is nice and friendly. Service was a bit slow due to their staff lunch hours but food came out within 15-20 mins. I ordered their mango lassi, chicken pakora, and lamb rogan josh. Mango lassi is refreshing and retains its mango taste. Chicken pakora is tender and juicy with a strong cumin taste. The sauce is runny but rich. Definitely excellent. Lamb rogan josh is awesome too. The lamb was nicely cooked. It's not gamey and the broth was rich and thick. Definitely a good substitute for lamb vindaloo.

Woman approached me and said "Take-out?" I said "One." She repeated "Take-out?" I said, "Table for 1." She said, "We're closed." I pointed to the neon sign that said "Open till 11 PM." She said they closed at 9:30 PM. I repeated what its own site says, what I was told when I called 40 minutes ago, what the sign says. She says "We're open only for take-out." I said I'd been there before, as late as 10:15 PM, for dining in. She repeated that they're closed "cause they already cleaned." I asked for the manager. "The manager's not in." Then a big guy comes out and gets in my face looking for a confrontation. Full kitchen staff, at least 3 wait persons, OPEN till 11 PM, but they refuse to serve me, even though they're open for another hour and 20 minutes, and I'm a party of one. I tell them that that's deceptive business practices and false advertising, that I was a long-time customer but will never go there again. No apology. No offer to make up for a wasted trip after getting false info on phone. No manager name info. I suggest getting a party of 75 together, going in at 10:30 PM, ordering take-out, and then taking seats at tables and unwrapping and eating ... slowly. No wonder this place has been mostly empty for the past year.
