This little hole in the wall has some of the best pastries I've ever had. You may have to wait a minute for parking but it is well worth it. The iced chai is great but the cold brew wasn't great. I wouldn't go there for coffee. They don't have any flavor choices nor do they have lattes but that doesn't matter because ...the food is why you should go. We got a savory scone. It was so light and flavorful. A meat hand pie that has the best pastry dough. These guys really know their craft. We got a macaron which was huge. It was soft and chewy. Next we tried the raspberry cream croissant stick. It was great. Crispy pastry with sweet cream but the best thing of the day...the thing that should keep you going back was the savory tomato croissant. Oh my goodness we have been talking about this all day. I don't know whether to give this place a 3 or a 4. I got a croissant, a pistachio macaroni, and a breakfast sandwich today. I heard good things about this place so I wanted to see for myself. The croissant: I guess this is a good croissant for being in Boston. For me, it wasn't seasoned properly, the skin layer was just a bit too thick, and the inside was just a little overbaked. The giant macaron: the form factor doesn't do it for me. The surface area to volume ratio is too small and the filling is just not proportioned right. I prefer small macarons that have just the right amount of filling, the inside chewiness, and the outside layer. The sandwich was a good breakfast sandwich but other than the fact that there was arugula inside, I don't think it was special enough to return to this place. The staff was very friendly and nice. Overall, it was a letdown for me but it's still a good option for the area where there's a real lack of good food. read more

Really tasty croissants and coffee. All of them had fantastic texture in the pastry itself but I enjoyed some flavors more than others. The only one I wasn't a fan of was the sweet danish which was more like a sour danish. Loved the chocolate almond croissant! Service was fast and friendly. My only criticism was that they are wasting space upstairs not having any seating and all the tables are stuffed on the lower floor so you can hear everyone's conversation loud and clear. There's some outdoor tables but they don't even give the option of serving pastries to dine in so our napkins were flying all over the place outside. My favorite favorite cafe to visit when I am in MA. Like I mentioned in my previous review this place is a hidden gem in Bedford and probably the only place worthy in whole town of Bedford to be called quality food. 95 percent of their food is . After reading a little article on them I finally understand why everything tastes so great. Didn't realize the main chef worked under a Michelin star chef. I also wasn't surprised they are expanding. I know in my heart their business will continue to thrive. You can tell their pasty's are made with love. Chicken sandwich is just excellent. Their roast beef sandwich was definitely one of the best I've had. Only thing that felt a little short for me was the bahnmi. Personally just little too creamy I think jalapeño would be a good addition to the sandwich. I will definitely return here every time I'm visiting Bedford. Just hoping next time I visit here they don't take all the talents to the new location. read more

Oh my, the food here is so bad and you'll pay as if you're in Manhattan but it's just Bedford lol. Their pork belly bahn mi has neither pork belly nor is it a bahn mi but it's $17. The chicken tikka wrap is not chicken tikka and they put 2 pieces of chicken in it if you're lucky but it's $15. The wait for the food was super long. Anyway The food here is such a joke. The cashiers are high schoolers that shouldn't be in service. The cupcake was great, probably just a place to get pastries from. Won't be back. read more

Quality is everything! Consistently delicious, friendly, and high quality. I'm working my way through the sandwiches and so far, the roast beef is my comfort lunch, the Buffalo chicken is my nemesis (I crave it knowing I can't handle the spice), and I've been delighted by everything else. Found Eva's when at Bedford Autoparts (great shop btw) one morning and one of the employees came in and unwrapped his sandwich filling the area with all sorts of mouth watering smells. "Where'd you get that?" I drooled. "Next door at Evas " to which I immediately went. Their breakfast sandwich is ridiculous, pillow soft eggs, bacon , bechamel (maybe) arugula, on a freshly baked roll with a crisp exterior...ridiculous. After finishing some work this the morning I rode up to reward myself , got there at 11:05, was told no breakfast past 10:30 , Cheryl said hold on, asks Danny in back. "Ham or Bacon?" It's hard to get through a weekend without a stop at Eva's. Unfortunately, everyone else is figuring this out, too! The breakfast sandwich has no comparison. I'm a fan of thick bacon and it does not disappoint. Also a plus in the BLAT (bacon lettuce avocado tomato sandwich). Pastries are top notch, and variety changes frequently. Absolutely the best hidden gem in this whole neighborhood and town. To me everything around Bedford is mediocre at the best and can only get something descent if you drive 20 minutes out of the way. I got their limited chicken sandwich (Sandwich of the day) which you can only get after 11:30am on wed-Sunday was an excellent excellent choice. I bit into it with zero expectations and let me tell you it's hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. Not to brag, but I consider my pallet to be above average when it comes to chicken sandwiches. Trying some of the most well known chicken sandwiches such as Howlin Rays and Hattie B's, Eva's does not fall short of either of the two even though Eva's is not a spicy chicken sandwich. I was also lucky enough to try their square pizza and let me tell you, you can tell they use all the good ingredient's and none of the bad ones. I am so glad that I've found this gem and can't wait to be back to try other things on their menu. read more

They were heavy and really didn't have much flavor, I tasted some sweetness but I think it was the jam in the jelly or the glaze that covered the old fashioned. I was so excited to try the donuts at Eva's. I didn't think they were good. They were too floury, too heavy, and had almost no flavor. You had to search for it, HOPE for it. My favorite of the three flavors offered on the 10th was chocolate. I liked that is wasn't too sweet. I would never have known the flavors of the other two if they hadn't told told me at the check-out. $4.50 a donut by the way. I've paid less at a hip NYC place! If this was just a review of the food I was able to get I'd probably give this place 5 stars. The food is great...if they have it. I went recently around 8:15 after seeing them advertise the donuts online...by the time I got in they had sold out a few people in front of me but promised they were making double or triple the amount going forward. I went again the following week and got there right as they opened. Again waited in line for 30 minutes but I figured there's no way they're sold out again, right? Wrong! Despite making "thousands" of donuts and only having been open for 20 minutes, they were already sold out of half the flavors. Clearly there's something wrong logistically. The food is great but I can't justify the time involved until they've gotten the kinks out. Not worth disappointing my kids on a weekly basis when I can't get the donuts. read more

I used Eva for catering many years ago, but I was gifted meals by a friend when I had a baby this past year. The food delivery is a rotating menu and has quite the array of choices. Our entrees (turkey meatloaf and bolognese lasagna) were so delicious! I've made turkey meatloaf many times and it wouldn't stand up to this one. The food we got was top quality and had generous portions. This is a great gift idea for a new parent in the delivery radius, and I was so thankful for it. Since then, I've been to the shop a few times and it does not disappoint. It's a perfect Saturday morning, picking up coffee and their latest tasty treats (try all the scones!) and taking a walk over on the Minuteman trail. read more
