Great subs, big portions but slightly pricey. Recommend. Been a customer since the 1990s.

Keep it simple, Double up, and I think you have a really great burger. Great Fries…read more I ordered the patty melts, and here, my comments: Staff: was very friendly, although some of the cooks/staff behind the counter didn't understand my English when I asked that the burger package wrapping be marked to know who's got what (one burger with jalapeños, one with green peppers, etc.) that should not have been a difficult conversation. They pointed to the receipt on the outside of the brown bag, "that's what's in your bag." Which works until you open the back and start handing out burgers. The place was clean and bright. Hamburger Meat: the quality of the hamburger meat is very good, but hard to find its taste in the Burger itself with all the cheese, toppings, etc.. The burger patties are kind of like smashed, and thin. So you're not gonna get a medium rare burger here that's thick and juicy. And that's OK cause it's a different style. Speaking of....Cheese: I would think a gourmet burger place would have more selections of cheese versus orange plastic-food-product American cheese. And they put way too much on it versus the size and thickness of the patty: and it dominates the flavor. I actually bought three Patty melts for our group and everyone complained that was hard to taste the meat behind the cheese especially. So one) provide of a larger selection of. REAL Cheese: baby swiss, provolone, cheddar, pepper jack, and not just American cheese and two) a lot less the thick and orange stuff, because the patties are pretty thin and get lost behind it (a grilled cheese sandwich with a little hambugrr meat). Topping: they advertise " grilled mushrooms" but I didn't see any grilling on them. It's like they just opened up a can of sliced mushrooms stored in water and took them out. Same for the onions: they said "grilled onions" but they were diced and only about maybe 3/8 of an inch square and wet, like they similarly just came out of a bag of chopped onions: nothing grilled there. So I would definitely skip those two next time, since they're extra cost. I thought the quantity of green peppers wasn't sufficient to warrant the price, nor the jalapeños. Buns: good fresh and nicely toasted on the grill itself.. Fries: I got the Cajun fries. And there was lots of it. And that was perfection! I think they had the seasoning just right--to be just a little spicy, but not overpowering. I really liked those. It was hard to stop eating them! Onion rings: No, they don't have rings. And for a upper class hamburger place: they really should. I mean, they got shakes too after all. Price: not the worst for a custom burger place. Summary: I think the best experience here would be a double patty with just some lettuce and tomato and pickles if you choose. And get rid of all the other stuff and definitely no thick orange cheese food product. Two of the three people in my group said they would not go back because they couldn't taste the hamburger patty because it was so thin, and even finding their minimal amount of toppings--and cheese-- distracting. One was constantly saying that their own burgers they make are better than this. OK. I personally liked mine, but again the good hamburger meat got lost in all the orange stuff and topping that weren't "grilled." So I'm gonna go back and keep it simple next time. RECOMMENDATION: give it a try and see what you think.

Remember when Subway used to be good? Like, REALLY good. I can't quite recall the precise year. But…read moreI'm fairly certain it was way before 2015. These days (for myself, at least), Subway is more like a last resort giving way to either lack of options, self-imposed frugality, or just plain laziness. The latter of which....I fall under. There's a lot wrong with this place in general, so I won't waste a lot of time going through the 95 reasons why Subway is the lamest sandwich shop in the country right now (IMHO, of course). Speaking to THIS location specifically, however.. The mobile app is dubious, at best. Sure, you can place an order just fine. But good luck getting an accurate status of your order. Because it will never update. In fact, if it wasn't for me sitting my ass directly in front of the place, I'd have never known that the sandwich was sitting right beside the register waiting for me. Meanwhile, the app remained on "order received" or something to that effect. At no point, did it move to "building" or "order ready". Oh, and let's talk about the sandwich itself. This isn't exactly complicated since I only ever get one type of sandwich from here: the tuna. As an avid tuna lover of...more years than I care to count, I'll tell ya ordering from here is like playing Russian Roulette. You never know what you're gonna get. Sometimes, the tuna is mixed almost perfectly. More times than not, it either suffers from too much or not enough mayo. Not to mention, the tuna itself is never seasoned. That's why I make it a point to order salt and pepper on my subs and usually that works out fine. What REALLY gets me is how (unless you explicitly instruct them not to) they'll go ahead and toast the tuna, bread, and cheese all together. Now, I love the idea of a toasted sub (as in toasted bread with the cheese melted over). Just not toasted tuna. Who the hell eats warm tuna salad? I mean, okay. I'm sure someone out there does, I guess. But...c'mon....that's disgusting. The ultimate insult though....would be the lack of meat. Now, I'm sure they do this deliberately so that customers have to order extra meat and ergo, end up inexorably spending extra money. But...here's a bright idea! How about we just put an adequate amount of meat on the sandwich to begin with? And THEN...if someone wants extra meat, they'll actually get...EXTRA. Seriously, the fact that any patron has to order additional meat just to get an adequate adult sized serving is like, precisely the kind of thing a racketeering business would pull. Eh, I guess it works, because people still eat this shit. Myself included. So basically, the mobile ordering is much to be desired, the sandwiches still suck, and there's about a dozen other places that make sandwiches 10 times better. That's always been by beef with Subway (no pun intended). They're okay-ish, but only if you have absolutely no other options nearby and don't wanna drive however many miles to go find a more delectable lunch. This Subway is worthy of 2 severely under-portioned tuna subs out of 5.

So I get a large Chip's Tip sub and a few pastries for snacks. The bill was steep for what I got but I thought it would be worth it for my son to try the sub. After getting it, we split the sub and ate it in the car. Let me tell you that this was not the same steak tip I remembered. It was so bad, we tossed it in the garbage at the gas station next door. The steak was very tough and hard to chew - almost like the tips had been cooked earlier and then reheated for my order. Everything just seemed greasy. We also did not enjoy the raspberry turnover or yellow cream cannoli's we got for dessert. Maybe it was us or maybe it was the food but I will never go there again. We are not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, and I rarely will say anything bad about a restaurant experience but we ended up going to Augusta's which is just a little bit down the road, for chicken just to erase this experience from our mouths. I know a lot of people will swear by their steak tip subs and that is great but it's just not for me anymore.
