I've had Augusta's chicken plenty of times (thanks to my coworkers constantly going there) but I had never actually gone myself. Finally decided to join them on their quest, went around 12pm, aka the Hunger Games. The line was no joke, however, it moved faster than I expected. The lady who took my order was very friendly and quick. I got the chicken bites with ranch and BBQ, plus a Coke. The chicken? Crispy, juicy, per usual. The sauce combo definitely helped! This is definitely more of a go in and get out type of place. It wasn't overly loud. The chicken orders seem to come out way faster than anything else some people who ordered sandwiches were still waiting while I was already out the door. They've got chips, drinks, even ice cream. Got their chicken bites and gave quite a lot more than the 10 I ordered. Other than that I don't see the hype. It was deep fried chicken breasts with no seasoning and all the flavor is from the sauce. I feel like that's a low bar since it is easy enough to make anything taste good if you slather it in a dipping sauce. read more

The reviews hold up! This is a cute little lunch spot that specializes in subs and fried chicken pieces. There's also soup and salad bar available. They have slices of cake and cookies by the cashier - both were surprisingly good. The lunch line can be long but it moves fast. People also order take-out and they set up your order separately in a little basket on the side so you can just grab it and head to the cashier! Although they're known for their chicken subs, we also wanted to try their other styles - the cheese steak and Italian were better than expected. I especially enjoyed the Italian and was pleased by the amount of toppings (as well as the spicy peppers). Do note they don't cut the subs in half by default so make sure to ask! read more

Ordered ice cream online: chose medium ice cream. Online form asks for you to choose ice cream scoops. It does not allow you to choose the same ice cream twice. I would assume if I chose one scoop of one ice cream, then the second scoop would default to THE SAME SHIT. Instead, the brain trust put a vanilla scoop. These chicken bites are amazing. This is one of the best holes in the wall around, hidden gem. They have prepared foods in plastic containers too, most of those are good too but the main attraction is those chicken bites! First and foremost this place has a great salad bar which I have missed since Covid. Everything was so fresh looking which is a tall order these days. I got a salad with a side of the chicken bites which were very good and crispy. The bbq sauce was a little runny but good. My husband got the heart attack which he said was awesome. My only gripe is it really adds up. The total came to like $55 for a salad, chicken bites, his sandwich and a sandwich for my brother. There was a group of three in front of us and there's was $78. I know things are more expensive now and the food was great so I would rather it go to a local business over a chain. read more

I've know about this sandwich shop for almost 2 decades. The drink selection is mediocre (no Snapple) but the quality of their chicken sandwiches more than makes up for it.
