Finally decided to join them on their quest, went around 12pm, aka the Hunger Games. The line was no joke, however, it moved faster than I expected. The lady who took my order was very friendly and quick. I got the chicken bites with ranch and BBQ, plus a Coke. The chicken? Crispy, juicy, per usual. The sauce combo definitely helped! This is definitely more of a go in and get out type of place. It wasn't overly loud. The chicken orders seem to come out way faster than anything else some people who ordered sandwiches were still waiting while I was already out the door. They've got chips, drinks, even ice cream. Bottom line, if you haven't been, it's a. If you have, go again. This place is staying in my lunch rotation until further notice.

The bar food is good, but just to set expectations: this is not one of those local pubs where the food feels like home cooking. It's more standard bar fare. I tried the prime rib and was disappointed -- it was lukewarm and tasted like it had been cooked earlier and reheated. The baked potato came cold, added butter but somehow the butter wasn't even melted, which was confusing and took away from the experience. Overall, a good place for atmosphere, drinks, and entertainment, but I'd come with modest expectations when it comes to the food.

This casual…read morepizzeria offers a variety of traditional and specialty pizzas (12" & 16") - similar to Pini's, pizza calzones, grinders, wraps, pasta, salads, teriyaki bowls, dinners (steak tips, chicken, fried seafood), appetizers, bagged chips, and cold drinks. The place offers order at the pickup counter, online ordering, third party delivery and there are a few hard booths for eating in. I ordered the Danny's Supreme 12" Pizza ($16.99 plus tax) for takeout at the counter, which was ready in about 12 minutes after ordering. The thin crust Italian style pizza was topped with peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, hamburg bits, sliced sausage, red sauce and browned melted cheese. There were plenty of toppings in each bite with a thin firm crust, crisp and slightly chewy on the edge. This place was very busy when I was here and my order was ready fairly quickly. I would stop by again for takeout if I'm in the area. I will note that the printed menu prices need to be updated with the store online pricing, which is slightly higher on some items. The third party delivery app prices are at least 15-20 percent higher than the in-store and store online ordering system pricing.

An item by item review: GARLIC KNOTS: at the nexus of crispy and chewy, very garlicky, would definitely get again. BUFFALO MOZZARELLA STICKS: ...they're mozzarella sticks bathed liberally in buffalo sauce. I'll give them points for thinking outside the box, and it definitely doesn't NOT work, but the sauce killed any crispiness the sticks might have had. An interesting experiment, but doesn't need a repeat. ROASTED RED PEPPERONI PIZZA- another reviewer noted that Danny's is in the old Pini's location, and I could definitely pick up the Pini's DNA; the RRP pizza was one of my standbys for many orders from the Somerville Pini's, many many MANY moons ago. As to the quality: it's a pretty dang good crust, on the scale of suburban New England pizza crusts, with good chew, some crispiness, and a nice flavor. My wife is extra particular about her crust and she ranked it above Sal's, our previous pizza crust benchmark. THAT SAID: Danny, dude... dial it back a bit on the cheese, okay? This thing was unnecessarily greasy, and it detracted somewhat from what was otherwise a pretty good pizza experience. I anticipate pretty soggy leftovers, which, I mean, I'll eat, but... a little less cheese and grease could take this pie to another level. BUFFALO CHICKEN SALAD- I didn't have any but my wife said it was good, with crispy tenders and fresh veggies. STEAK OF THE GODS SUB- despite the promising name, this was the weak point of the order, more like a steak for a minor demigod or perhaps an archangel or other divine servant. Thoughtfully packed and not too greasy/soggy, a common problem with delivery steak subs, but woefully underseasoned. Salt-N-Pepa are more than just a 90s hip hop group, they're a quick service cook's best friends. Learn to love 'em, Danny! Overall, it was a solid effort, and we'll definitely check out some of the rest of their menu in the future.

The ube waffles was so delicious and the chicken tenders was cooked to perfection. It was very tender and juicy and compliments very well with the sauce that came with it. My only disappoint was the drink that I got. I wished it had a strong flavor of passion fruit and tea that I'm used too. So all in all, I will definitely be returning to try out their other items on the menu.

First visit, quick stop for a slice during the heart of Saturday lunchtime. Unlike most shops,…read morethere's no display case from which to gauge quality. Me (over the counter): "You got slices?" Dude: "Yes." Me: "One pepperoni, please." Dude pulled an un-topped slice from below the counter, which is out of customer sight. As he raised it, I saw it was very long in the tooth. Dried out and so lacking in tomato sauce that it looked like they applied it the way a sophisticated woman applies perfume: spray it into the air and briskly walk through it to just get a bit of the essence. Another dude took the slice, applied pepperoni discs, and popped it into the oven. The nice part is that the pepperoni was shingled over the entire slice in overlapping fashion. I can't say it saved the slice, but it mitigated the dryness that the oven definitely couldn't eliminate. In fairness, I should say that the bottom of the slice had a nice oven flavor. But make no mistake, this was sustenance, not enjoyment. Old, dry sustenance.

My kids love the park next to O'Connors hardware in the same plaza so I took them inside after two hours of hard play. Our hot slice order was out pretty quickly and we grabbed one of the many ample booths if you aren't doing takeout. Holy cannoli is this true Italian slice perfect, zero flop with the just right amount of sauce and excellent quality cheese. It reminded me of some of the best NY style pizza I had as a kid. Even the people were great, I said we had to rush home and couldn't wait for a second slice that my son wanted because I think he loved it too. Another customer inside offered his coming out of the oven so we happily took it off his hands and had another. The workers are all very friendly and accommodating. After not being able to stop thinking about it, a few days later I packed my entire family in the SUV and took the half hour round trip once again with everyone else who didn't get to experience it the first time. My score on the pizza was an 8.4 per the Barstool scale and my wife gave it an 8.2. We also added an eggplant parm sub and garden salad this time. The eggplant was so crispy and thin inside, plus they added all the extra toppings I love and asked for. I think my only question mark about the entire experience was, why is your bathroom blocked off by a wall of chips? We sat outside this evening and other than several entirely too loud motorcycles going to and fro with the Harley dealer up the street, it was quite pleasant. We had good service from a friendly waitress who mostly got our orders correct and when she didn't, apologized. I had the sirloin steak tips for main course. A big portion of large pieces of meat, they were covered in a bourbon sauce that was tasty. And now that I think about it, I wasn't asked how I wanted them done. They were medium. Onion rings on the side were tasty. Desserts looked great. Apple crisp and hot fudge sundae were good sized portions and presented well. The napkin never left my lap and there was not even a bead of sweat on my brow. No lips tingling. This food was, in a word, boring. OK food, but not the drive out of my way good that it used to be. The portion proportions have also changed for the worse. Much less bacon. Much more rice. I feel like there should have been more meat for the money.
