    Cute lil place
    Dee C.

I live in Belmont, and this place is literally like 3 minutes up the street from my house. I never knew it existed, though, so today I decided to come in here for the first time. I called him before I came and the lady that answered the phone was so sweet and so nice. When I came in, she noticed it was me that called, and she was trying to explain to me that she was still trying to talk to me and that I hung up on her. But the concern in her voice was because she thought she did me a disservice, and I'm the one that hung up on her. How cute and sweet is that. I ordered the Hungry Man special, and it comes with three eggs, two pancakes, two meat options, home fries, or shredded hash brown. My son got the Belmont, which is three eggs toast choice of bacon sausage or ham and home fries and corned beef hash. They have like seven different breads, so you have a wide option of toast. It's such a cute little diner, too, and small, but it's also big if that makes sense. The food was okay, and their bacon is amazing and perfectly cooked, there's sausage is so good, and the corned beef hash was on point, just like I like it. The home price could use a little bit more seasoning I feel like if they let me in the kitchen I can put some zest on it, I didn't like how my eggs came out and ask for over easy but it came out with that clear film on it and I don't like that my son asked for his eggs over medium and they were super runny and my daughter wanted scramble but they weren't that good so the eggs were the only complaint I pretty much have other than that this place is exceptional. They also have a lunch menu, which I am coming to explore soon. The prices are unbeatable, though.

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a delightful breakfast at a local eatery in belmont Massachusetts. The dish that truly stood out was the pancakes with strawberries and powdered sugar. From the moment the plate arrived, it was clear that this was going to be a treat for both the eyes and the palate. The pancakes were perfectly golden brown, with a slight crisp on the edges and a soft, fluffy interior. Each bite was a harmonious blend of texture and flavor, with the pancakes themselves having just the right amount of sweetness. Topping these delectable pancakes were fresh, juicy strawberries that added a burst of natural sweetness and a slight tartness, balancing the dish beautifully. The powdered sugar dusted over the top added a delicate touch of sweetness without overpowering the other flavors. It also gave the dish a visually appealing finish, making it look as delightful as it tasted. The combination of the warm, soft pancakes with the cool, fresh strawberries and the light sweetness of the powdered sugar was nothing short of divine. This breakfast was a perfect start to the day, leaving me satisfied and eager to return for more. my waitress was krista and she was amazing i will never forget this delightful experience

Great breakfast spot. Friendly staff and quick service. Not to mention they have the cutest customers.

The food is basic, nothing exceptional. It gets loud at times. Your basic diner. Waitresses friendly.

Good food pretty basic but competently prepared. Good for breakfast but you won't win style points with girlfriend.

The girl who took my order didn't really give us a chance to look at the menu, stared, and rushed me when I was speaking which threw me off a bit. They also serve you through a window (looks like a makeshift drive-thru, or "walk-thru") which is cool, but I noticed the same girl was getting easily annoyed when customers weren't quick to receive their order. She also made my coffee in a unique way which really surprised me. They have a giant jug of iced coffee that they keep in the bottom cabinet, instead of having drip or brew. The coffee itself was pretty decent, though. My ham and cheese crepe was okay but there was not enough ham or cheese, it was mostly just egg. My friend's portion was also small but the food was good. I think I would give it another shot.

Ambiance Very cozy inside, cute decor and a small seating area with about 6 tables available Food Personally thought portion size was very generous, I had half an omelette still unfinished and toast. The potatoes unfortunately were not flavorful alone but pairs well with ketchup! The chai latte could be hotter in the coffee cup but tasted beautifully Service To go order was prepared very quickly, from ordering to receiving took maybe 10 minutes. A true family run local restauarant. Very kind staff/owners and courteous to customers Tip Pay in cash! The walls were filled with eclectic items. They have a woman that waits on the tables, provides menu and serves. She spends all her time behind the counter rather than waiting on tables. I ordered a Sara's omelette that includes three vegetables and 3 eggs. I chose spinach, mushroom and broccoli. I had fruit cup of melon, pineapple, cantaloupe and strawberries in lieu of toast and hash browns. The omelet was very good with lots of veggies inside. The fruit cup was on the small size but it beats additional carbs. I had to wait for my bill. I think they forgot about me. I finally had to get up and ask for bill. I would have to try again before I would pass judgement.

The perfectly preserved railcar diner (even down to the original refrigerator and clock on the wall) is only one of a few dozen still operating as a diner out of the hundreds that built by the Worcester Lunch Car Co. in the 1940s and 1950s. Maria Kitidis Mackay and her father George bought the diner in January 2020 and one or both of them are usually working the griddle daily.. as they were when I recently visited. I recently stopped in for breakfast two days in a row while visiting friends in Concord and the food was excellent both times. On my first visit, I had the two-egg platter ($8) with a unique Greek loukaniko sausage (+$7). The next day, I had the same platter with traditional pork sausage links (+$3). Both platters came with home fries and toast, and everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and really tasty. My dining companion also thoroughly enjoyed her meals and the classic diner ambiance. She tried the Florentine benedict ($14), which came topped with perfectly sautéed spinach and tomato, and on the next visit went with the spinach and feta omelet ($13). Our servers stopped by a few times to ensure everything was good. The only minor disappointment we experienced was that our servers didn't offer to refill our coffee, but otherwise, it was a fantastic visit. Maybe I should have asked? It is a terrific experience all around. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want great food, unique history, and a classic diner atmosphere! Even taking away a 1/2 star for our coffee snafu, it's still a solid 4.5 stars for the overall experience -- rounded up to 5 stars. PRO TIP: Bring cash. Wilson's does not accept credit cards.
