I was interested in this program as it is geared toward two noble goals: reducing food waste; and addressing food insecurity. I downloaded the app and purchased a "surprise package" online that had a retail value of $13.00 and cost me $4.27. The gentleman behind the food counter knew immediately what I meant when I mentioned the program and gave me my surprise bag containing two baguettes from Iggy's as well as a one pound of fresh, gluten free gnocchi (I had indicated that I was gluten free in the app). All items were within their freshness dates and the gnocchi were excellent. The employee who assisted me was both extremely courteous and knowledgeable about the program. I really want to commend both the Spirited Gourmet for participating in Too Good to Go as well as the program itself. Besides wine, they also have other alcohol (sake, beer), a ton of cheeses, crackers, everything to assemble your own charcuterie board, including yuzu olive oil!
