A true diner experience. I got the classic breakfast with a stack of pancakes. Service was quick and to the point. It is a total local joint and full of regulars, you can just tell. I was happy to make this stop, even though the food was very basic, because of the overall experience. It was a warm spot to start off the day with a cup of coffee and a basic breakfast.

Veggie omlet

I had the veggie omelet that had mushrooms, broccoli and onion. It only included two eggs while most places offer a three egg omelet. I knocked down the rating one star for the serving sizes. I had the salad in lieu of hash browns. There seemed like there was sufficient staff to handle the number of people. I did not have any problems with service. The prices were reasonable but the serving size was on the smaller side. I would return if going out for breakfast. It is at a convent location in Watertown.

No frills, old school diner, which is exactly what a diner is supposed to be. Long bar counter seating and good amount of booth seatings. Looks old school but very clean. They have a lot of regulars that come in, where they knew their names and last orders. The servers were quick and attentive. The moment we sat down, our server came by to get our drink orders. Large menu selection of breakfast and lunch items. We got the deluxe egg sandwich (you can choose between a variety of breads or bagels) and hungry man plate (this was a large portion - we chose bagel and pancakes (not shown, ate it then remembered, but you get 2 fairly big pieces). Place normally gets pretty packed but today it was little less than half full probably due to credit cards machine were down, so was cash only for today).

Waffle, hungry person platters, spicy Portuguese pork sausage.

Like this place, the service is quick and attentive. Old school style, but clean. There offer quite options. The waffle is made with the same of their pancakes batter, I like it.

Excellent vibes and pancakes. The rest of the food is great but nothing to write home about. But their pancakes--incredible

Always tasty and bustling. A staple of the area. Sometimes service is a bit gruff, but that's part of the diner vibe.

Nice place to grab some sandwiches on the way home. The reuben isn't bad. The interior makes it look like you're at an old timey place.

Wilson's Diner - House Special Omelet $18 (with toast)

Wilson's Diner offers plenty of very tasty breakfast and lunch options in a very casual ambiance…read more However, the real reason to check it out is the opportunity to eat a meal in a historic railcar diner that's been around since 1946. The perfectly preserved railcar diner (even down to the original refrigerator and clock on the wall) is only one of a few dozen still operating as a diner out of the hundreds that built by the Worcester Lunch Car Co. in the 1940s and 1950s. Maria Kitidis Mackay and her father George bought the diner in January 2020 and one or both of them are usually working the griddle daily.. as they were when I recently visited. I recently stopped in for breakfast two days in a row while visiting friends in Concord and the food was excellent both times. On my first visit, I had the two-egg platter ($8) with a unique Greek loukaniko sausage (+$7). The next day, I had the same platter with traditional pork sausage links (+$3). Both platters came with home fries and toast, and everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and really tasty. My dining companion also thoroughly enjoyed her meals and the classic diner ambiance. She tried the Florentine benedict ($14), which came topped with perfectly sautéed spinach and tomato, and on the next visit went with the spinach and feta omelet ($13). Our servers stopped by a few times to ensure everything was good. The only minor disappointment we experienced was that our servers didn't offer to refill our coffee, but otherwise, it was a fantastic visit. Maybe I should have asked? It is a terrific experience all around. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want great food, unique history, and a classic diner atmosphere! Even taking away a 1/2 star for our coffee snafu, it's still a solid 4.5 stars for the overall experience -- rounded up to 5 stars. PRO TIP: Bring cash. Wilson's does not accept credit cards.

The grill had so much going on and it never was cleaned off. Saw the manager pass the cook some raw onions in her hand to have them cooked. In her hand!! Really? Passing them by hand not in a plate or bowl? The rag that was used to clean off the counter was then used to clean the cutting board where they slice up the bread. Good thing Im from out to town cuz I'll definitely never try this place again.

Uncomfortable to enjoy your meal at and a pleasant deli style ambience add comfort to the comfort food they serve. There are constantly people in the restaurant, attentive to the quick turnover and cleaning off the tables and making sure that everything is immaculate. This is the perfect place where you take a tray and your order as we walk down the road they make your food fresh for you. They have such a pleasant attitude and seem to enjoy their work behind the counter. And they care about the customers. One of the people in front of me ordered an omelette and they handed it to her, she said that she had asked for extra cheese. She had not. But without question, they put it aside and made her another one with the extra cheese just how she wanted it. Well, this is the extreme customer always right, it shows that for the reasonable people, which most of them were, they are going to make sure you're happy. And if you're unreasonable, they will make sure that you're happy too, without judgment. Or at least without showing any judgment. Great service great food great people nice place. What more can you ask for? I am not in this neighborhood but when I am, this will be the first place I think of.

All of the food was MIND BLOWING.. and it was very bittersweet because I know once this trip is over I'll likely never be able to eat here again, at least not for a long time anyway. The ambiance gives a very retro 90s pop nostalgia vibe that makes you feel like you're inside of a lava lamp, I loved everything about this place from the Service, to the food, to the decor! The Friendly Toast was founded in 1994 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, but has locations throughout New England now. It's easy to see why. This all-day brunch and bar is quirky and fun and unique. The decor of the Cambridge location is super eclectic. We arrived around 8:45am on a Saturday, and it wasn't busy yet (it's a huge restaurant). Since it was pretty quiet still, we had plenty of time to look around at the fun decor. The menu is as fun and eclectic as the decor with really fun small plates, breakfast classics, vegan options (like a tofu scramble and vegan pancakes), wild pancakes (cookie monster pancakes!?), and some healthier options. They currently have (or maybe always have?) a "Comeback Tour" menu of dishes that were popular that they brought back. My husband and I both chose from that menu. He got the Rice Baby Rice Comeback (grilled citrus chicken, seasoned rice, roasted street corn, black beans, pico de gallo and avocado topped with crispy tortilla strips, grated cotija, pickled onion, avocado cilantro sauce, and fresh cilantro), and I had the Medley Crue Comeback (two poached eggs served over a medley of home fries, tomatoes, spinach, red peppers, mushrooms, onion, zucchini and corn; topped with avocado cilantro sauce, lemon pepper sumac & fresh cilantro). Both dishes were great. They have a full drink menu, too, including flights (a mimosa flight, a coffee drink flight, and more), beer, wine, mocktails, classic cocktails, and more. I had their strawberries and cream coffee (cold brew with vanilla strawberry cold foam), while my husband stuck with a simple iced coffee. It's a really fun place for brunch, and I'd happy to return or visit another location. It's just a retro, quirky, happy place!
