We ordered a variety of dumplings along with a few stir-fry dishes, and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My personal favorite was the eggplant in garlic sauce--it was incredible. My family loved the dry stir-fry green beans, and the crab and pork soup dumplings were a hit for all of us. Service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and helped guide us through the menu, which made the experience even better. Everything came out hot and fresh. Overall, such a great experience. It was early for dinner so we were the only customers in the restaurant, though there were some patrons there for takeout. Having become somewhat familiar with the menu, we ordered: Pork & Mushroom Siu Mai (6pcs):12.95 Pork & Chive Dumpling (6pcs) Pan Fried): 10.95 House Lo Mein Chicken & Pork: 14.95 Scallion Pancake: 8.95 As usual the Siu Mai and Pork Dumpling were excellent. This was the first time we tried the Lo Mein, and we very much enjoyed the dish, it was hot, light and tasty. So I rapidly ordered away like it was my last meal before I met my maker. Stuck to the usual choices to see their take on classic dim sum dishes. Best part? Food didn't take long at all to trickle in straight from the kitchen (no dim sum cart here, as expected). While the preparation was slightly different from what I've been accustomed to for the last few decades, I found their style both pleasant and tasty. At least, most of it was...and I would have given them 5 stars easily if it wasn't for a few missteps that I can't let slide. Dry Sautéed String Beans. As good as your version is...the word "dry" means a particular technique that does not involve blanching the beans. I expected something but received something else. That one step has a different texture and matters to those who know this dish well. Moreover, I expected the soup dumplings, which you are famous for, to stand out. I can't say it did and that's me being nice. Anyways, I definitely recommend anyone in the immediate area craving Chinese food or dim sum to at least try them out once. Rating this is a bit difficult, as the food was great, the place has a wood motif for decorations, which was attractive, but the service was lacking. We ordered two orders of the assorted soup dumplings (6 pieces each a different flavor) and the spicy pork belly, and two drinks. This came out to be $72. Still debating on whether that was too much for the experience; slightly leaning more towards too expensive. But the dumpling were good. Couldn't really tell the flavors apart too much, as the mixtures within all seemed the same. But still, the taste was great. The cold pork belly caught us off guard, bc pork is usually hot, but this was served chilled over sliced cucumber, and a sweet and tangy oily sauce. This too was good, but also weird to be served cold pork. The previous reviews were right, the dumplings do take longer to serve, so it was a good thing the pork belly came out first. But there was very little genuine service from our server, which is why, despite the high praise for food, we will likely not come back. Rarely get to this area but we stopped in because we were hungry and we love dumplings! The inside is very clean and pleasant. Each unused table has a long stemmed flower atop the table which might be an indication that the table has been cleaned and ready for the next patron-it's a pretty touch. There are cool screen like wrought iron structures with wood cutouts separating the two dining rooms resulting in a cool aesthetic. We started with the boneless spare ribs which were very tasty-very tender and sliced thinly making it very easy to eat. They had a slight sweetness to them -very delicious. We had the pork and chive dumplings and the mixed soup dumplings. Love them all!! Thanks to a previous reviewer who suggested putting the dumpling on the soup spoon, poking holes in the top to allow the steam to escape and then pouring the sauces on top. When biting into the dumpling the soup pours onto the spoon. Such a great tip! The mixed soup dumplings came with a pork, a shrimp & pork, a crabmeat & pork, pork & truffle, chicken and beef. They were all amazing-particularly liked the pork and truffle since the truffle was not overpowering. The chicken broth and the dumpling tasted like chicken soup on a spoon! They all are so cute also! We also got the pork buns to complete our meal and they were also amazing! Sometimes pork buns are dry and doughy to me, but these were perfect! I'm so glad we did. We ordered chicken soup dumplings, Singapore vermicelli and Mapo Tofu without pork. Everything was so delicious. Also, their Mapo Tofu is one of the best I have ever had. I do not understand why this place has a lower rating. It should definitely be over 4.5/5. It's a nice little place. It has a cute set up. Friendly and helpful staff. I asked them to make the Singapore Vermicelli without pork and they were able to accommodate the request as well. As far as recommendations go, I would recommend all three dishes that I ordered. I'm definitely going back again to try more dishes from the menu. I am actually looking forward to try their spicy fish filet in broth. read more

Gotta try all the soup dumplings. The "soup" is inside the dumpling. Do not ask where's the soup. Order dumpling soup instead of soup dumpling then. We had pork and leek panfried dumplings. Flavor was good. Crab soup dumpling and beef soup dumplings were good too. I had to teach a couple next table over on how to eat soup dumplings. You grab the dumpling with tongs and put it on your spoon. Poke a hole in the dumpling with your chopstick and release the steam. Spoon some black vinegar with ginger sauce on your dumpling. Cheers with your spoon and try and fit the whole spoonful of soup dumpling in your mouth. And repeat. The cream cheese in the crab Rangoon was HOT! Don't burn your mouth! Salted egg yolk corn was interesting. It was salty and sweet. The salted egg yolk was quite powdery to the taste but addictive. I've never had it or seen it on a menu before but it was good! And the order was larger than expected. Peapod leaves were young and tender. Seafood panfried noodles had a good amount of seafood. The decor was aesthetically clean. Just some areas with steps were awkward. Good food and good service! Will be back for sure! read more

They were very good- just not quite as good as my favorite restaurant. I appreciated the option to order a variety instead of one type. Service was pleasant and timely. This place is awesome! We were passing thru on some college tours, staying at a nearby hotel and found this place on Yelp. So glad we did! Despite its modest outside appearance it's beautiful inside! And the food is spectacular! While we (me and the 17 yo niece) were not terribly adventurous-- what we got was all really fresh and clearly made fresh. The beef with wide noodles, the pan fried pork dumplings.... The black soup dumplings (pork and truffle) and the regular pork soup dumplings were all delicious! My niece also got some great chicken lo mein. We often go for soup dumplings at home and when we travel and these were definitely some of the best we have had. The dishes coming out to nearby tables-- whole fish and other creations were just beautiful. The staff was very friendly and they clearly have some regulars because they were chatting with the staff about different seasonal specials they had enjoyed, etc. so good! The pork was extremely tender. The dish had great flavors and truly was amazing. I've had to go the hot and sour soup. I also had the Singapore noodles. This had nice pieces of chicken and shrimp. They made it for me without onions. I really enjoyed it. Their wings are breaded but have a nice flavor throughout. It's definitely a place to checkout. Formerly Uncle Cheung's, U Dumpling House is finally open on Route 9 Eastbound in Framingham, just east of the Route 126 exit. The owners of U Dumpling House also operate Aoi up the road. The Chinese menu offerings here include a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, noodle/rice dishes, dumplings & buns, soups, and appetizers. They offer lunch combos with entree, rice, & soup until 2:45 pm on weekdays. Dim sum is also served here on the weekends from 10:30 am to 2:45 pm. The pricing is moderate. They offer full service dine-in and takeout with table seating areas in each side of the space with the bar/takeout counter in the center of the room. I stopped by U Dumpling House for takeout on their first day open. Since I already ate a big lunch at another restaurant, I decided to order something light to bring back home. I ordered the Steamed Pork & Shrimp Dumplings (6 pc - $10.95 plus tax) and the Pan Fried Pork Buns (2 pc - $6.95 plus tax), which took approximately 15 minutes to be all set and bagged. I enjoyed hot dumplings and pork buns with soy dipping sauces in the vehicle. The firm dumplings had good flavors with a nice filling of ground pork, shrimp, and cabbage. The pan-fried pork buns were decent and on the smaller side filled with a liquidy pork filling. I still enjoy the steamed bbq pork buns at other places in the area, like at Dumpling Daughter in Weston. As I was leaving in my vehicle, the owner came outside and apologized for the smaller thsn expected pork buns since they are still trying to get things right on their first day.
