Ambiance is standard Vietnamese restaurant with old school decorations and Vietnamese music playing (a bit too loud). I was the first person in for dinner 5pm ish (obviously on the early side). There were 5 ladies (who work there) socializing (again, a bit too loud, it's a restaurant not a bar (no bar to speak of). I first tried to order the pho with shrimp. The menu shows that extra "meat" is $5 which I was happy to pay. But for some reason I couldn't order extra shrimp. Only normal amount of shrimp. After that back and forth experience I thought maybe I shouldn't order the shrimp? So I Ordered the chicken pho. They got my order wrong (asked three times for yellow noodle and got rice noodle). The broth came lukewarm at best (this is what really killed the meal for me). Chicken was tough and hard to chew and swallow. Not sure how you can have a successful pho restaurant without hot flavorful broth. Won't be stopping in again. read more

Love eating here. Been here at least ten times. Super friendly staff, consistent food quality, tasty. I usually get their bun bo hue. Not too spicy, loaded with meats and noodles. Broth you want to drink. Recently tried some new stuff. Wonton noodle soup surprisingly good even though they mainly do pho. Fresh rolls are actually fresh. Shrimp from end to end and crispy veggies inside. Rice plate is great too especially with a fried egg added. Both pork and beef are great choices. Bun is there to switch it up. Drinks are made well, especially the avocado smoothie. I think the only thing I've tried that I wasn't a huge fan of is the chicken wings. Legit Viet food! The broth in my chicken pho was so healing, the Thai tea was great, and service was fast, but they did mix up orders between our table and others quite a bit. The spring rolls were delicious, not the most tightly wrapped but great peanut sauce. My friends liked their pho as well. Ambiance was casual, not the cleanest but very comparable to most Vietnamese restaurants. Parking was a little tough, one side had parking style where you could end up blocking in other cars and the other side had limited parking. Solid 3.5 stars. Mom and pop pho shop. Stopped in around 1 pm on a Sunday and about half the restaurant was full. Service was prompt. We ordered the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk and pho tai. The coffee was wayyyy too sweet, it was like drinking pure sugar. A quarter of the amount of condensed milk would've sufficed. Pho tai was yummy. Broth was on the saltier side but so flavorful I didn't need to use any dipping sauces. Beef was nice and tender. The beansprouts were a bit sad.. Regular portion size is filling but get an extra large if you're ravenous. Overall on par with the pho places in Dorchester. We will be back to try other dishes! read more

Authentic pho restaurant: Got an xl pho special with the beef on the side. Broth has a hint of clear sweet taste and light flavor. Very little to no msg. I like the broth and it tastes home made. One down side: the temp of the pho broth and noodles is not hot enough! Should be piping hot! Beef tendon was not cooked long enough, some part was hard and not easy to bite into. Beef quality is not the best thing. Noodles was good! The bean sprouts and basil and herbs are nice and fresh! Plenty of briskets, slices of beef tendon ball and cooked round beef slices in the bowl. My friend enjoyed her Spicy Bon bo hue. The blood pudding was a nice touch. Broth was spicy and filled with nice flavors and herbs! Summer rolls with shrimps was nice! Homemade peanut dipping sauce was the best! Service was just ok. The restaurant was clean and the booth seatings were comfortable. Parking limited. A couple in the front of the restaurant, a few on both sides of the restaurant. Hope I will try some other dishes like the grilled pork rice plate or vermicelli with grilled pork and spring rolls. A very bright and lovely space to enjoy some good Vietnamese food! The service was quick and friendly, and the food really hit the spot. I also appreciated that the Thai Tea wasn't too sweet. There's a good amount of parking. The restaurant itself seats a lot of people. We came on a Sunday around 6pm and it was super busy considering they close at 7pm. Nice, simply decorated, local place for Vietnamese food. Definitely homemade. You must try the housemade chili sauces. The one with oil has lemongrass in it and packs some heat, too. The fried spring rolls were crunchy & tasty. Pho broth had lots of flavor. I like that you get some culantro with your raw plate of veg/herbs for your pho - most places don't offer it. The servers are friendly. Dinner time is pretty busy and the parking lot is pretty small. Note that they close as early as 7pm! We spotted this restaurant off of route 9 and saw that the parking lot was full, so we decided to try. It did not disappoint, we were greeted very kindly and told we could sit anywhere we like, and then the food came out within 10 minutes. We ordered an XL chicken pho which was plenty food for 2 people, and the fresh rolls with shrimp were also a great start with really good peanut sauce. All of that food for under $25, great value. Food is always consistent and fresh. Service is always great and friendly. So I have experienced both take out and dine in can not go wrong both ways great experience on both. We've been coming here since they opened. We often start with the crispy vegetarian egg rolls. They are always crispy and very tasty. We then often get the Pho Tai, with the thin sliced eye round. The serving size is plentiful with a lot of meat, basil, bean sprouts, another green leafy vegetable, sliced green peppers and lime slices. It's so incredibly good. We've also done the shrimp Pho and added eye round as the extra meat. The broth is the same as the beef pho and gives a nice different take with 5 large, meaty, and really tasty shrimp along with the extra beef that we had them add. 10 out of 10, would recommend. The other thing I want to note is that the family that runs the restaurant are so nice, sweet, and sincere. My 12 and 14 year old kids love them and they are always so kind to us every time we come in. They're good people and we wish them all the success! Came here after the mall and got the bun bo hue. At first I was upset because per the menu picture it comes with all the nitty and gritty meat that not everyone eats.. I for one do so I was excited to try this here. When the bowl came out I was confused because the congealed pork blood and pork hock was not in it.. waited for the server to come back and asked where's the rest of the meats that's in the advertised picture. Welcome, House of Pho! House of Pho opened today in the former Welcome Indian Cuisine on Route 9 Eastbound in Framingham. They serve up authentic Vietnamese cuisine including Pho soups, noodle dishes, rice plates, appetizers, Vietnamese drinks, taro smoothies, soft drinks, and bottled water. The prices here are moderate. This restaurant was rebuilt in front by the former ownership after a vehicle crashed into the building over a year ago. After Welcome briefly reopened and closed again, House of Pho redid the space, which has a casual cozy dining room with booths and tables, which can be moved around to accommodate different size groups. I stopped by House of Pho for dinner on their first night. The place was busy and I found an open table to sitdown at. I looked over the menu and was told it was limited on their opening week. I started out with Pork Egg Rolls ($5.95 plus tax) which were served cold, thin wrap fried filled with a ground pork mix filling and sweet spiced dipping sauce. Next, the Vermicelli with Crab Ball ($16.95 plus tax) was served in a very hot in large bowl which had a crab/shrimp & tomato based broth with soft Vermicelli noodles, tomato, crab balls, tofu, quail egg, beef tendon, and veggies, spouts on the side. I finished my food and the check was dropped off ahead of time, $24.33 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food I had was pretty good and very filling. I would return again when they have their full menu offered and I'll get the Hu tieu nam vang soup next time. The service here was adequate despite being busy with more customers arriving as I finished my dinner. read more

I have been waiting to try out House of Pho for months! I'm a huge pho fan and was thrilled to hear that a Vietnamese restaurant was opening close to home. I came with a party of 3 at 5:45 on a Thursday night. Most of the tables were filled, but we were seated right away. The servers were incredibly attentive and various staff members checked in with us throughout our meal. The inside of the restaurant is well-decorated and looks newly renovated. We ordered the pork and shrimp summer rolls for our appetizer - they were absolutely delicious. Everyone in my party ordered the Pho Dac Biet (P1). We all agreed that it was the largest bowl of XL pho that any of us had ever received from a restaurant and that the soup was well worth the price. The flavor of the soup was very flavorful and authentic, and I also felt that there was a generous amount of meat. I was pleasantly surprised to see that in addition to the usual pho toppings like Sriracha and hoisin sauce, the tabletop seasonings included other authentic Vietnamese ingredients like shrimp paste and fish sauce. Overall, I am incredibly grateful that an authentic Vietnamese restaurant has opened up so close to home, and will 100% be coming back. read more

DISCRIMINATORY ESTABLISHMENT. I am so disappointed with an incident that happened at House of Pho today. I went with my friend who has a SERVICE DOG, not an "emotional support animal" or anything, a SEEING EYE DOG. When they attempted to refuse us service, my friend kindly explained it is against the law to refuse service due to the presence of a service animal. The owner instead yelled to kick us out and called the police. When the police arrived, they explained to the establishment that denying us is illegal and we are filing a report. I could understand not knowing the rules and needing to be told, but the blatant disrespect shown was unacceptable. They are ableist and showed no remorse. I will never be dining there again and neither should you. read more

What a gem! Came in here with my family after driving past it multiple times, and I was not disappointed. The pho broth was delicious and had just the perfect meat to noodle to soup ratio. My kids also loved it and especially loved the strawberry milkshake with added boba. It's been hard to find a decent authentic pho place that is not a mixture of different cuisines. House of Pho recently opened on route 9 so I love pho so I gave it a mid afternoon try. I ordered the P1, with brisket , round, trio, tendon and beef balls ( not those). What I received was a steaming bowl of delicious broth with plenty of the aforementioned meats and parts and accompanying bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño and another cilantro tasting herb maybe culantro? In addition to the usual pho condiments they have black vinegar, chili paste, sambal , soy Tabasco and even ketchup. My only detraction( if it can be taken seriously) is the broth arrived too hot.
