I went for lunch at Dah Mee this past week specifically for the Ok Dol (Stone Bowl) Bi Bim Bap. I usually get beef but decided to try tofu. I have noticed the past few times that the dish is served too quickly and it unfortunately while still good, the dish does not have the fried/brown rice at the bottom and is not piping hot as I have come to expect from this dish. I am not sure if I simply need to ask them to take longer or specify that I want the rice to crisp (maybe it's a matter of the stone bowl being hotter?), but I recommend mentioning this if you are a fan of this dish like I am. I will return to beef next time-- the tofu was underwhelming with no texture. It would be glorious if it could be prepped/fried with Korean sauces so it would have texture and flavor similar to the beef dish. I love having a Korean restaurant option in Natick and will try again, but this is the dish I go for and I was pretty disappointed this time around. read more

This restaurant in downtown Natick was really good! The bul go ki sauce was flavorful and hearty but also light. Tender beef, with a side of rice and a few veggies. Also interestingly they have a pop-up Poke bowl kitchen within their restaurant that you can also order from. We tried that as well and it was delicious. Quality salmon and tuna, pickled radish, cucumber, avocado, and a scoop of that purple in the picture (not sure what it was but it was good, similar to mashed potato. Probably a root), on a bed of rice. They also have sushi which was tasty but in my opinion expensive for the amount. Friendly attentive service. Check them out for great Korean food! read more

I'm hooked on the Korean stone pot filled with vegetables, rice, marinated thinly sliced beef and topped with a raw egg. It cooks quickly if you mix it in. It's clean and tidy inside. Somewhat modern. The waitress I typically have is Cindy and she is happy to explain what is in the dishes that I'm interested in. The food is always fresh and very tasty. Decided to revisit after about 15 years, due to several disappointments around that time, to see if they had regained the quality I remember from 20 some years ago. I am sad to say the food is awful. At least the dumplings and Tempura I ate were. The dumplings were undercooked and mushy. The Tempura vegetables were coated in a bland tasteless, chewy batter. The shrimp batter was a bit better crunch-wise, but very disappointing in flavor. I hate leaving a bad review, especially for a restaurant that has been around forever, but, My God, people need to be warned. read more

My meal was delivered within three minutes of ordering, so obviously it was cooked beforehand and just rewarmed to serve. The taste was bland, and some of it tasted bad. Our first time eating here - we were able to get a table without any issue on a Friday evening. The place has simple decor. Our server was helpful with sharing her thoughts and recommendations. I had the Cashew chicken/pork and it was really delicious. It had a flavorful sauce and lots of fresh vegetables. My partner had the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp and he said it was good. Whether it's my favorite Ok Dol Bi Bim Bab or an entirely new dish to me, Vegetarian Jab Chae, I'm excited by the food, the wonderful Kitty whose warmth and care radiate through her service each time and, of course, Mrs. Soon Lee. I've worked in the restaurant industry for years, so I hate to leave bad reviews, but I must say I was so disappointed by the food we received from Dah Mee last weekend. I've been to Dah Mee before, and was excited to get it for takeout, but unfortunately received reheated, dry, and skimpy portions for the almost $90 that I spent. Additionally, when I picked up the order, there was barely anyone in the restaurant, yet the "hostess" told me to grab whatever bag was mine and turned the screen and said "pay" then just walked away. Japchae noodles are one of my favorite dishes, but they were flavorless and the portion was barely enough for one person (pictured below). The chicken in the noodles was clearly reheated, dry, and difficult to eat. There was no sauce or seasoning on the noodles, so it was eating plain glass noodles with dry chicken, and flavorless vegetables. The sushi (yellowtail spicy tuna roll pictured below) had scraps of tuna and looked like it was haphazardly thrown together. It was chewy and didn't taste fresh at all. The volcano roll (not pictured) was overly torched on top and had a burnt taste. The pad Thai with shrimp was decent, but barely had any shrimp in it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the situation until I returned home and found that the one container of soy sauce they provided had leaked all over the bag and the containers. I'm really disappointed in this poor service and disappointing food and would not recommend Dah Mee to anyone looking for a delicious, relaxing, local meal. read more

It was my first time here. Such a great experience! The restaurant was prepared for our large party. The service was excellent. Our food came out in a timely manner, and more importantly, everything was hot and fresh. My beef bibimbop in the hot stone bowl was yummy, fresh, and tender. Highly recommend. Dah Mee has excellent food (despite what the reviews below say). The pad thai with chicken is spectacular, and the chicken is melt-in-your-mouth good. The crab rangoons are tasty and sweet. Their sushi is also spectacular. The service is fast and attentive. Everyone I have encountered has been extremely friendly. The restaurant itself is clean. My only issue stems from the prices for the portion sizes. The crab rangoons come in a tray of 4, and we usually need to order two. Unfortunately, that's about $20 in itself. It's a great restaurant but can definitely be a bit of an unexpected splurge. read more

I met a friend here on a Tuesday night. There were other people eating and we was seated pretty promptly. We were looking forward to catching up as well as our meal. We ordered and our food came out very quickly. I had the pad Thai which was good and my friend had a curry which she said was good. The menu had a variety of Korean, Thai and Japanese and the kids menu looked pretty good. The problem came around 7:15 when our waiter seemed to be watching us and wanting us to hurry up and be done. We had been sat around 6:20 and on the website it says they are open until 8:30pm. By 7:30 there may have been one other group and a take out order here and there, and I understand it might have been a slower night, but we didn't appreciate being rushed out. At 8:00pm they asked us to pay and they had jackets on and were yelling closing at 8:12pm. At 8:15 we were outside the restaurant and they had one take out order come in, and then turned off all the lights by 8:17pm. It was not a relaxing dinner and I don't like feeling rushed out when I am trying to enjoy a night out. If I were to come back it would not be on the earlier side or maybe a weekend. I am mostly wary of ordering from a multi-cuisine restaurant, but was excited about ordering Korean food from Dah Mee after reading about the chef/owner's experience and Korean lineage. But the food was massively disappointing , especially in terms of flavors- actual there was NO flavor. Ordered Yook Gae Jang- a spicy beef broth, which was anything but spicy, and Chicken Bul Go Ki, which was supposed to be marinated in a special Dah Mee sauce. The sauce was altogether missing, instead i coulld only taste the juice of the raw tomato slice which got packed with the piping hot chicken and mixed with it's so called sauce. The rice portions were literally half filled. I might order again and update the review (won't dismiss it right away, coz I love korean food). But till then it doesn't deserve more than one star :( read more

Exceptional food, best Thai I have ever had. VERY pricey compared to competing local Thai restaurants. Most Thai restaurants include hot tea with the meal - it's $3.00 per person at Dee Mah, and not the unlimited pot that keeps getting refilled like you see at most Thai/Chinese places. Pricing of entrees was a bit on the high side, but not massively so. Disappointingly, there was no lunch menu - just one menu at full dinner prices at 11:45AM on a weekday. Lunch for two (entree only, no drinks other than the supplied tap water) was $45 with a 20% tip. Service was excellent. I would go much more frequently if it was not so much pricier than the other lunch places I go (covering all three food groups - Mexican, Chinese and Thai). Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was price/value proposition. read more

I'm not sure what happened...this place used to be my favorite go-too Tai place. My dad, who NEVER wastes food, actually threw his pad tai away, claiming chicken was undercooked. Yet the chicken for my pad tai was over cooked and dry. Plus the portions were smaller than usually. Maybe they have new owners? I will give this place one more try. read more

My wife and I eat lunch at Dah Meh on average once a week. It's one of our favorite places, with combination of Japanese, Thai, and Korean foods. It never gets old to us. Good food with quick and friendly service in downtown Natick. I suggest you try it for yourself. read more

I have been here few times. 1st few times, some people on table had okay food and some were not so good. One time chicken was not cooked properly. So I thought may be I need to just order the right food. However, after my last visit, I am never going back to this place. 1st the service was extremely slow. After waiting for 40 minutes after being seated, the waitress brought one dish. Then disappeared for another 20 minutes and got another dish only to discover the shrimp were not cooked properly. So I had to return the food and wait another 20 minutes. Bad service and uncooked food, very disappointing experience. read more

I find the place mediocre , not sure what everyone is raving about. Been here a few times and didn't have anything that inspired me in the least. This isn't even close to good Korean. I've tried to reach the owner and they have not responded so, here is where I now will let people know of my experience at Dah Mee in Natick. The food is tasteless, small portions and so expensive! I don't know why people even bother. Beef Bulgogi didn't have any umami flavor like anywhere else. It was gray in color and basic. Crazy noodles has barely any meat and way too many bamboo shoots. Edamame is $10! Seriously, two other Korean food places in Westborough are far better. I should have sucked up the 10 more minute drive. read more

Im really disappointed in this restaurant. I use to come here a few years ago and I remember thinking it was great. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Tonight I ordered the chicken pad thai and it was so-so. The noodles were cooked right but it was real bland. It didn't have flavor. There were no peanuts in the dish, no peanut sauce on the dish, Pad thai without peanuts? How can they serve that? Second dish was called the tofu & vegetable teriyaki dinner. This was where the meal really confused me. There are basically no vegetables in this dish, they are more of a garnish. The tofu was soked in what tasted like oil & water NOT teriyaki sauce. There is NO teriyaki sauce in this dish. Most frustrating part: it was the portion size of a small appetizer yet priced as a dinner ($11) UNACCEPTABLE. The tiny to-go container was not even half full. I posted a picture so you can see; its a small portion of tofu soaked in oily water. I purchased the food to go. If I had seen the portion sizes prior to leaving the restaurant I would have given the food back and asked for a refund. The only reason I even ate the food was because it was too expensive to throw away. I have nothing positive to say. Sadly, I will not be returning. read more

Yet another Natick Downtown mediocre restaurant! This is NOT Thai, Korean or Japanese of any quality. Bad, foot nailed to the floor service is a compliment. Ordered typical and comparable Thai food which was poor to lame at best. Bland flavorless curry with limp green beans. Poor pad Thai with basil. Satay was rubbery and obviously pre made and not fully cooked. Food was served on six inch appetizer size plates. Beer served in a small juice glass. We requested larger plates, reply was we don't have any. I would not dare eat the sushi..... One and a half thumbs down!
