    6. Bul Go Ki

This restaurant in downtown Natick was really good! The bul go ki sauce was flavorful and hearty but also light. Tender beef, with a side of rice and a few veggies. Also interestingly they have a pop-up Poke bowl kitchen within their restaurant that you can also order from. We tried that as well and it was delicious. Quality salmon and tuna, pickled radish, cucumber, avocado, and a scoop of that purple in the picture (not sure what it was but it was good, similar to mashed potato. Probably a root), on a bed of rice. They also have sushi which was tasty but in my opinion expensive for the amount. Friendly attentive service. Check them out for great Korean food!

I've been coming to Dah Mee for years and will continue to do so indefinitely. Whether it's my favorite Ok Dol Bi Bim Bab or an entirely new dish to me, Vegetarian Jab Chae, I'm excited by the food, the wonderful Kitty whose warmth and care radiate through her service each time and, of course, Mrs. Soon Lee. Her restaurant has been my first choice many times when I made dinner plans in Natick Center.

Japchae noodles. Small noodle portion, dry chicken, no seasoning at all.

I've worked in the restaurant industry for years, so I hate to leave bad reviews, but I must say I was so disappointed by the food we received from Dah Mee last weekend. I've been to Dah Mee before, and was excited to get it for takeout, but unfortunately received reheated, dry, and skimpy portions for the almost $90 that I spent. Additionally, when I picked up the order, there was barely anyone in the restaurant, yet the "hostess" told me to grab whatever bag was mine and turned the screen and said "pay" then just walked away. Japchae noodles are one of my favorite dishes, but they were flavorless and the portion was barely enough for one person (pictured below). The chicken in the noodles was clearly reheated, dry, and difficult to eat. There was no sauce or seasoning on the noodles, so it was eating plain glass noodles with dry chicken, and flavorless vegetables. The sushi (yellowtail spicy tuna roll pictured below) had scraps of tuna and looked like it was haphazardly thrown together. It was chewy and didn't taste fresh at all. The volcano roll (not pictured) was overly torched on top and had a burnt taste. The pad Thai with shrimp was decent, but barely had any shrimp in it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the situation until I returned home and found that the one container of soy sauce they provided had leaked all over the bag and the containers. I'm really disappointed in this poor service and disappointing food and would not recommend Dah Mee to anyone looking for a delicious, relaxing, local meal.

$12 for 4 crab rangoons is absolutely insane. They don't s state anywhere on the menu how many come in the portion. Beware!

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered a lunch special of chicken…read moreteriyaki, boneless ribs, egg roll, pork fried rice. Ordered appetizer of pork dumplings pan fried .. Fresh , and good value . The egg roll was excellent and nice crisp crunch, ingredients fresh and had a nice flavor. The chicken teriyaki was one of best I have had elsewhere. It was marinated and velvet tender. I assume a curry marinade maybe as was tasty. Boneless ribs were over cooked and reheated as shown in my picture. The pork fried rice was loaded with diced pork . The pork dumplings were fresh ingredients, but the dumpling exterior shells was the too hard shell type vs a soft noodle type. But the pork dumplings were excellent ingredients. It was as excellent lunch and priced fair and reasonable.

So I will admit that my attention to the details of my food was less than it could have been. One of the privileges of being a Yelp reviewer is that when the people you are eating with are boring, You can tune them out using the excuse that you are thinking about what you are going to say for your Yelp review. This has been a lifesaver for me more times than I can count. There was no need for this in Natick where the people I was with were amazing. That said - we did eat food. In this case food off the Chinese side of the menu. Everything was good. There are probably at least 200 places you can get American Chinese like this in the Greater Boston area. But there is no need to pass on Shanghai and Tokyo looking for something else. They are completely reliable.

Also had snow crab gunkan (the texture was a bit off-putting and soggy?). We both ordered mochi and taiyaki for dessert, both were good, the mochi was also very fresh! My favorite nigiri was the charbroiled mackerel Service: it was my first time here so I was a bit unfamiliar with how it worked. We tapped the screen for help but the kiosk then crashed...we eventually figured it out on our own. Our waitress was very nice who came to refill our drinks though! Ambiance: definitely a place to take friends if you want a cool experience with revolving food. I highly recommend a reservation because there was a line outside of the place when we were there for lunch. Otherwise clean and very nice setup!

All weeknight dinner visits…read more -- Har Gow: Shrimp dumplings fresh and flavorful, but the vessels were so gummy they stuck to each other and the serving tin. Average. -- Beef Teriyaki: A four-stick serving had bumpy, lightly-charred and lightly sweet surfaces, along with good tenderness underneath. Decent marinade flavor. Above average to well above average. -- Mongolian Beef: An outstanding presentation of beef slivers thick enough to be tender, while also getting nicely crisp and a vigorous flavor superior to the teriyaki. Scallions added some extra kick in addition to the sauce. Really good feel and really good taste bring it really close to elite. -- Pork Fried Rice: Lovers of dark pork fried rice are in for a treat, because this is among the darkest and has dark flavor to match. Fresh, hot, not a reheat, and not sitting for hours. I could do without the peas, but all of the other additions-- egg, onion, bean sprouts, and big chunks of fresh pork-- were top notch. A benchmark rice if you're into this style. Elite. -- Chicken with Ginger and Scallion: Long and winding chicken with good tenderness and noticeable ginger flavor, with bold scallions the unsung hero. Closer to a very good dish than a great dish, but bonus points for being neither sweet nor spicy, but still bringing plenty of flavor. -- Chicken Fried Rice: Another example of bold, dark, fresh-cooked rice, this time with chicken. I was expecting shreds and got finger-length pieces that were much more impressive. Elite. -- Boneless Ribs: Lightly lacquered with shiny cross sections, so they were moist, but a bit fatty. Above average for sure, but not elite or close like some other dishes. -- Chicken Fingers: Fresh, hot, and crisp, with some small ones less dazzling, but most pleased. Good meat-to-batter ratio. Optional sweet and sour sauce add-on did dazzle, coming in sweet but dark ruby color and complex. Not your daddy's sauce; this didn't have pineapples and cherries but it did have more flavor. -- Chicken Teriyaki: Charring, coating, tenderness, juiciness, and marinade all combined to make this one of the better renditions. Well above average to near elite. -- Yuen Yang Beef: Very impressive dish, from the quantity, to the textures (perfect on both the beef and the bed of string beans), to the flavors (savory-tingly on the beef, though without much heat, and gingery on the string beans). -- Duck Sauce: Barely a variation from straight apple sauce. Not a strength. Only negative on service is that sometimes one server handles the entire dining room, so there might be waits, but even still, service is always friendly and efficient. This place sometimes gets a bad rap for being expensive, but I believe the quality warrants the prices and that there's good value thanks to execution and consistency.
