Walked in with my senior service dog and was told flatly "no dogs" -- no vest? Then apparently no dog. For the record: under the ADA (and Massachusetts law, which follows it), a business can ask exactly two questions -- is this a service animal required due to a disability, and what task is it trained to perform. That's it. No vest, no ID card, no paperwork required, full stop. I said as much, was met with attitude, stepped out to keep the peace, came back in with documentation anyway (which I didn't legally owe him), and got a passive-aggressive "well you could've shown me that at the beginning" -- followed by a genuinely bizarre stare-down over the counter. Charming. Then, while waiting on my order, I made the mistake of taking a video of the (admittedly cute) interior -- 100-year-old diner car, hard not to want a keepsake -- and got yelled at for filming, with a pointed accusation that my brother outside was "also filming," said like it was a crime. Meanwhile this place has an active social media presence built on customers doing exactly that. You can't crowdsource your Instagram content and then treat a phone camera like a weapon. Oh, and the hot dog itself: $5 for a boiled dog on white bread, no toasting, no char, nothing. A sad little snack to cap off a genuinely unpleasant interaction. The building has real history. Always on the search for a rarified gourmet burget, but sometimes the classic flat top diner style just slaps! We lucked out and grabbed 6 of 10 counter stools. Lots of folks grabbing takeout at the window or delivered to the car. A cute little and historic diner but that's about it, very basic hot dogs, burgers and other easy food one can make at home. Extremely small inside, the "diner" is almost the size of a bathroom. The worst thing about Casey's is SOME of the employees, absolute miserable, sloppy, sluggish guys behind the counter. They act like they are working for free at a funeral home. Casey's is still 5 stars. Went for hot dogs and fries today. Ordered from the take out window. The hot dogs were ready in less than a minute. We had to wait on the fries. Had our choose or regular fries or crinkle cut. We chose Crinkle. Warning - they do not salt the fries. But will give you a salt shaker to salt them yourself. 4 dogs plus an order of fries was $23. read more

Holy prices Batman Stopped in Sunday and 3 young kids operating the place efficiently and no issues with them . But;, Now 4.25 for a dinky steamed hot dog... Keeps increasing beyond what it is worth. 10.50 for a cheeseburger melt on white bread. 14.75 and still hungry Now, any steamed hot dog done right is a good dog... this was but worth about 2.50 even with today's Biden inflation still lingering... Cheeseburger was decent as a melt vs a bun... Small burger size tho... not 10.50 values Probably fair at 7.00 to 7.50... not sure why exchanging the bun for 2 slices wonder cheap bread costs 2 bucks more.... Anyway.... As they say... don't like the food or prices... go elsewhere. My dog was 2 bites, burger 3-4 and my belly still hungry based on size. Old School rail car diner with an endless Cuppa Joe and breakfast. But let's not talk eggs and such, it is the hot dogs they are known for! Whatever you want to put in it, they will. Use extra napkins. Elbow room, great staff and service, and the prices are reminiscent of the early 2000s. Quality does not suffer. Truly the old school diner feel and decor. Unsanitary and disappointing experience. I hope we don't get sick! We visited this diner on a Sunday morning after church, drawn in by the good reviews and old-fashioned charm of the building. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. The only person working, a man named Jim, was unkempt and unwelcoming--almost as if he wished we had ordered at the window instead of sitting down. From the moment we entered, I had a bad feeling. Once you look past the vintage character, the lack of cleanliness is hard to ignore. The appliances looked decades old and poorly maintained, crumbs were scattered in the kitchen, and the overall state made me wonder about health code violations. Jim was also wearing blue gloves when we walked in--but they were already visibly dirty. Instead of changing them, he kept the same gloves on while cooking, plating food, and even handing us our silverware. After serving us, he sat down to drink his Dunkin' coffee with the same gloves still on. It was clear he had no regard for proper food-safety protocol, and those gloves weren't coming off anytime soon. The grill, where all the food is cooked, was dirty and greasy from the prior day. Our eggs tasted overwhelmingly of burnt grease, and I even watched Jim scrape bits off the grill and scoop them from the grease trap onto my plate--absolutely unacceptable. The corned beef hash was undercooked and cold in the middle, with a gelatinous, unappetizing texture. Even the coffee was bad--lukewarm, acidic, and seemingly reheated from the day before. To make matters worse, Jim himself was drinking Dunkin', which said enough about his confidence in the coffee being served. For four eggs, one side of corned beef hash, and two coffees, the bill came to $27. We hardly touched the food. This place is unsanitary and unsafe, and I plan to report it to the local health inspector. I don't understand how it has positive reviews--it deserves no more than 2 stars at best. The food isn't particularly great or cheap, but you mostly come here for the history. I was lucky enough to come in while they weren't busy so I was able to get a seat at the bar and chat with the people behind the bar. It was really cool to hear the story of Casey's Diner. The hotdogs are pretty good, but expensive and the burgers are good, but expensive. There seemed to be a lot of regulars that passed through while I was there and I don't get it. read more

DONT GO THERE!!! The worst food I have ever eaten. The eggs were not edible & the "cook" Jimmy never asked why I didn't touch my eggs. The bottom of the eggs had a brown crust. The bacon was over salty & cooked so well done it wasn't edible. They gave us coffee with no spoon to stir it. We had eggs,bacon, toast & coffee and it cost a whopping $26.00!!!! Now if the food was edible that wouldn't have been a bad price. Eggs came without out the toast and then bacon showed up. Everything came 10 minutes apart, not all at once. Family favorite of ours! Owner is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Best part of coming to spend time with my grandparents living in Natick was getting lunch from here. Still go every time I'm in the area and it hasn't changed. The historical nostalgia is probably the best part. The hot dogs are awesome and the burgers cooked to order! Staff can be kind of rude. Food is expensive for what it is. Tastes good if you have the money to spend. Disappointed that the spirit of the diner seems like an excuse to charge way more. The menu does not have prices updated, some add ons are displayed as 50 cents but when you pay they tell you it is $2. Update the menu in good faith. Also, treat all customers with upmost respect. If all this appeals to you, you can give it a try and decide for yourself whether you want to go back. If you are someone who wants to sit down comfortably with a chair and table in a medium to large place, if you are someone who wants the server to talk to you politely while taking the order or serving the food, if you are someone who likes to go through the menu and easily understand the menu options.....this place is not for you. This Natick institution always absolutely nails their bark-ey burgers cooked atop a cast-iron griddle with decades of seasoning infusing delicious flavor into the patty. They are also known for steamed hot dogs - somehow the dogs snap and the buns disappear like clouds into the bolus forming in your very happy mouth. If you love a local diner Casey's is for you. The food is made fresh rift in front of your eyes. The staff are friendly happy to suggest ways to accommodate your tastes. I came in thinking about a late breakfast but drooling from the smell of the juicy burgers on the grill. On the magnificent suggestion from Shannon I got a thick grilled cheese with a fried egg and burger on it. Wow! It hit the spot and made my day. The space is small, but I call it intimate. It's a small club car structure with an island counter so you sit directly next other patrons. You can chat if you'd like or just eat quietly and no one bothers you. I think that speaks volumes about the spot where everybody is welcome with no issue. I will be coming back. read more
