I moved to Framingham last summer and keep driving by Zippity Do Dog - except I drive by when they're closed. But today when I drove by, they were open! My husband got a Hawaiian Dog and I got a Pearl Hot dog (because I prefer beef) with onions, cheddar, and brown mustard. We both really enjoyed our dogs. They were delicious! But more importantly, the guy who runs the business is really nice. He has a "pay it forward " program where he'll give free food to anyone who is unable to pay, and other patrons can contribute toward that program. It was my honor to contribute today. The food is made in a converted trolley car that sits in a parking lot. Plenty of parking, and a few picnic tables around. I brought our dogs home so didn't experience the tables. Went here today for the first time. I had just walked on the Rail Trail with my pup, and decided to treat him to lunch. I drove by yesterday on my way to a 2:30 appt around the corner and thought "I haven't stopped in ages", but I turned that all around when I zoomed into the parking lot at 2:58 and ordered a very late lunch! I'm surprised at the variety of hotdogs. Very quick bite for lunch. The service is great. There are two gentlemen who are working this small truck. Stopped in here a few weeks ago for the first time. Actually, I had stopped twice previously but both times they were closed, I'm guessing due to the inclement weather. Located on Speen Street, just north of route 30, the cart is located in the parking lot of an office building. Unfortunately, there were no chairs, so make sure you have a clean spot in the car. Since I had already eaten, I only had a chili dog. Nothing like a hot dog covered in chili and this messy dog didn't disappoint. They offer a bunch of different specialty dogs and offer a lunch special which includes chips and a soda. Being my first visit, I can't comment on the previous owner or the quality slipping. (Of course I won't though) The service is very friendly and fast, you can get your hot dog in a variety of ways (my first go round was sauerkraut, mustard, and sweet relish), and they offer burgers, and Italian sausage too. Picking a favorite dog is like picking a favorite child, but since my parents said my sister is their favorite, I'll go with the coney dog. It is simple but so delicious. Topped with a meat sauce, mustard and onion, it has great flavor and a great bite with the different textures in each topping. The chili cheese dog is a real treat. I don't know what makes it such a great combo, but the mix of homemade chili and the cheese are spot on. The dogs are not #overcooked and dry like you find at some hot dog carts, they are fresh and are a great base for all the toppings that are available. Excellent little hot dog stand right off of Rt 30 on speen street on the framingham/wayland line right near the business park. First time I went I got 1 w/ just mustard and one with their signature coney "sauce". I have sauce in quotes because it's basically a ground meat/chili concoction. Good none the less.
