    Plain Fries $4

Visited the truck at Lavins in Wayland. It's expensive. $9 for a dog. Even the plain dog, with no toppings is $9. I asked for ketchup, they told me to pump it myself. However when you are getting a to go order and get handed a big bag, what am I going to do - start unpacking the bag and start unpacking dogs so that I can find the plain one to add my own ketchup??? And then try to pack it all up to bring back home? The onions on the Tex MEx or the Western were huge onion pieces. Huge raw onion pieces. Really not pleasant to have such huge onion chunks. Overpowered the other toppings. Gave me bad onion breath. The cheese sauce was the same stuff you get in gas station nachos. For $9 I expected more. A lot more.

Take your little hot dog stand, and dial it up a notch. Size: While they were larger than your typical hot dog, they filled you up nicely without forcing you to loosen your belt. Still, I would not call them gigantic. Bread: bread wasn't the play-dough hot dogs usually come in. It kept together very nicely despite everything piled on inside. The "dog": dog was of good quality, no complaints here. Toppings: I had The Western which comes with bbq sauce, cheese sauce, and onions. Combination worked surprisingly well. Although here was a little too much cheese for my taste, the bbq sauce was noticeable; and the onions added a wonderful freshness and crispness to the dish. I was originally planning on critiquing them for lack of creativity/variety in their dogs, but looking again at the menu saw that they have a fair amount of it. Besides, loading them to the point of insanity, especially in the case of a food truck, would create and almost immediate mess, and possibly a waste of an otherwise perfectly good hot dog when it falls to the ground. Now, the dog may have just been good, but I will go as far as to say the fries were great. They were fresh, and cooked perfectly, just a tiny bit of crispness on the outside and softness on the inside. In terms of toppings, when it comes to fries, I say bring the cheese sauce, and bring it they did. I couldn't tell you if the fries were seasoned, but with the awesomeness of cheese sauce, I quite frankly didn't care to notice. Even ketchup wasn't really needed. Other than cheese sauce, since I had the nacho, this also came with salsa and onions. In this case, a touch more of these two would not have hurt. With the fries, however, I would have liked to see a little more variety in their offerings. The food was solid for sure, and the service was quick and polite. With this, the reason I gave 3 stars is one of value. I felt $7 for a hot dog and $6 for fries with toppings ($4 without) is a bit steep.

The cheerful trailer and warm, knowledgeable service make it a beloved destination for locals and returning visitors. Interestingly, while Snappy Dogs is widely talked about in the community, I found it surprisingly difficult to locate a central, professional presence under the brand name itself. Most references were scattered across social media or review sites, which makes it less intuitive for new visitors or those searching specifically for Snappy Dogs to find and engage with the stand. Given the outstanding quality and growing reputation, having a centralized hub that clearly reflects the Snappy Dogs brand would likely attract significantly more customers -- making it easier for those who hear about the stand to connect with the experience immediately. Overall, Snappy Dogs excels at delivering both exceptional food and memorable experiences. Establishing a clear, professional home under the Snappy Dogs brand would perfectly match the excellence of the stand and help ensure that new patrons can effortlessly discover this local gem.

I had the chicken bowl it was a somewhat small serving of chicken. I moved it from the bowl to cut it up. I ended up eating just the chicken, sour cream and beans. I asked for less rice but the bowl is mostly rice so I don't think they accommodated that request. Corn was dry. Lettuce is iceberg and minimal. If you like rice this would be a good choice.

That killed it for me to buy more than one. After checking out Yelp photos and the online menu first upon arrival, I settled on the "New York Style" hot dog with small fry (3.50) and no drink. It came out to $15. It took a little while to get my order. I was there ordering with the cashier before some guy came after to order by kiosk which got his order first. My hotdog was loaded and tasted amazing. After finishing, I wish I had another because I wasn't full even after the fries. But I could never pay $20 for 2 hotdogs. Shop was clean and cute inside. Cashier was nice. A fairly new resident recommended the chicken bowl next time. The only other location is on the Natick Mall. They would be more busy if they come down $3-$4. Hope they aren't wasting their toppings with these prices.
