Don't be fooled by the exterior and location, this place was wonderful. The staff were super friendly and I was very pleasantly surprised to be served high-quality chips and salsa, for free, in addition to my meal at the table. I was not expecting table service. There was something delicious advertised at the cash register, which I've unfortunately forgotten the name of. It was open faced, like a tostada, but in more of a doughy, pastry shell. I was so glad I ordered it to go. You should be sure to try it too! The tostones were perfectly salted. As a Gringa, my meal had the perfect amount of heat. This is a hidden gem. Tucked behind the Roche Bros grocery store in a small strip of shops is the best Mexican food in Natick. The service is always fast and friendly. The food is always delicious and full of flavor. You can't go wrong with any of the tacos. Don't sleep on the potato taco which is fluffy and soft but with amazing flavor. If you want to play it safe order the ground beef but if you know what carnitas and or carne asada are you'll want to try this too. read more

And we sure had some terrific street tacos from the good folks at the Baja Mexican Restaurant. We picked up dinner on our way to our hotel and ordered four street tacos (chicken, carnitas, potato and shrimp) and two Salibutes with shredded chicken. The tacos were ridiculously inexpensive - just $2,99 for the chicken, pork, and potato ones and $3.99 for the shrimp. They tasted great and came with double corn tortillas and plenty of filling. The salibutes were even better. At just $3.99, they were a thick fried corn tortilla (like a Johnny cake) loaded up with chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, and cilantro. They were very filling and plain old delicious! We love these little taquerias. Family owned businesses with fresh made to order food. Well done, Baja! read more

Simply the best carne asada burrito that I have had in the area. No frills, they don't try to do stuff with their burrito that shouldn't be done (like too many other places), just a solid and delicious burrito. I have since learned that their street tacos are the star of their menu so I am definitely coming back soon to give them a try. read more

On our way back from Boston, we stopped at Baha Mexican Restaurant in Naitik, Massachusetts. It's a small family owned restaurant. It's nothing fancy, but it serves the most delicious Mexican dishes. We ordered Tacos Al Pastor, Birria Tacos and Pork Enchilada. Everything was simply delicious. I am still drooling thinking about it!! There isn't a lot of seating inside, just a couple of tables. But we got a table quickly. Didn't have to wait long. While we were enjoying our delicious food, it was hard not to notice how many people were ordering take out. They were super busy and I know why? Doesn't look like much when you wake past. It's a hole in the wall. Just a warning, the restaurant is not big and doesn't have much seating, but thankfully, it was not busy when we went (after lunch traffic), so we were able to seat 6.5! I can't understand why this restaurant has such high reviews. I just picked up a takeout order and this was the worst Mexican food that I have ever had. I picked up the order when they told me that it would be ready. I live three minutes away. The price was $11.76. I ordered a soft Street Taco plate which was supposed to come with pico de gallo, cilantro, and sour cream. I posted photos of the plate. There was no pico de gallo that I could taste, no sour cream and no cilantro. There was also no shredded cheese on them as stated in their menu. I had asked the man who took my order over the phone if these would be on the tacos and he said they would. I had some sour cream in my refreigerator so at least I was able to add that to the tacos. The chicken that was inside the tacos was dry, burnt and chopped up into tiny little pieces. There were about 2 tablespoons of chicken in each taco. It was a good thing that I had some cooked chicken in my refrigerator because I had to eat that in order to get some protein in my dinner. The rice was dry, tasteless and cold. The small serving of refried beans were salty and flavorless. The red salsa was nondescript. The only positive aspect of the meal was the guacamole which tasted homemade. This is more of a takeout shop than sit down, but we came with friends and ended up putting two tables together and hanging out. Food is pretty good, not the best Mexican street food, but pretty darn close. I got crispy tacos and my husband got a quesadilla. We also split fried ice cream. I've been to two of their locations--in Rumford & Warren. Both were extremely clean with great customer service. The food and price? AMAZING! I get the $10 Nachos. It's like a Subway for Mexican food! On the nachos, you can pick your toppings; a meat, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and more! The food is super fresh and cooked well! It's a great alternative to Taco Bell & more authentic. This restaurant keeps opening more and more locations such as one in the same plaza as IHOP in East Providence. The good thing about grabbing take out is that you can order a kids meal for yourself and not get told that you look a wee bit older than 12. Ordered a kids quesadilla. With fries. Normally I am anti-fry girl. But the other option was rice and beans. Only retried beans. And I really can't stomach refried beans. Portions were on the smaller side. But it was a kids meal. Reminder to self. It did fill me up. When I picked it up they handed me the styrofoam container. I asked if silverware was included. They had to grab me some. Then I asked if ketchup was included for the fries. They grab a bottle and make me a little to go container. I forgot to ask if salsa and sour cream was included with the quesadilla. It wasn't. So I ate a dry quesadilla. Seating inside is really limited. So they must rely on the take out crowd. So a bit surprising that they have not mastered the art of take out. The food is great, and more "authentic" than any other Mexican place in the area. I would not listen to a few negative reviews, because every place will have a few upset customers from time to time. Also, I saw "Kelly S." 's extremely negative review, and it's ridiculous. You asked for extra cheese, extra salsa, and a side of sour cream. Do you think extra food is free? $2.00 is reasonable - It's understandable to be upset if she didn't tell you that it would be $2.00, but maybe she simply forgot? On top of that, maybe you didn't get as much extra cheese as you would have preferred, but you came back and said, "tell me this is extra cheese", as if you expected them to be all nice and jolly to you. Located in a nondescript neighborhood in Natick, Baha Mexican has a warm and casual dining environment. On a mid-summer Saturday night, we took pleasure in spending more time than we normally would enjoying the authentic Mexican plates. The grilled chicken fajita and ground beef in chile relieno were both cooked perfectly with full flavors alongside peppers and sauces. They up-charge for every little thing. For example 3.00 extra for meat in a meat burrito. They charge $2.00 extra for green salsa on an item like a Chile Rellleno which already costs 17 plus. As of today, their website is down, but they are still on Facebook and are open for pickup (and presumably delivery). They've been my go to for Mexican food for the last six months. I will risk picking up food under the stay-at-home rules because it's that good. I lived in Mexico for year, and have family there still. Eating food from Baha Mexican makes me happy, even when I'm down. It's like being home. It's all good, but stay with the most authentic to start: street tacos, pupusas, chile rellenos, and huaraches. I was thinking of getting a sub nearby but wanted to give this a try. Though small It has a pretty extensive menu which I got a hard chicken taco and a soft shrimp taco they were not as large as expected but were filled. I could not complain about that. With the shrimp taco they did not skimp on that. For 2 tacos plus tax it cost just over $7.00. When I do go back I go back I will either get a dinner or if tacos at least 3. Lots of kinks to work out, but overall nice place and good food. They are clearly not prepared to handle the outpouring of demand, but hopefully they can rise to the occasion given their recent opening. Couple of suggestions....food should be delivered all at once, instead of burritos being made to order ahead of everything else. Also, have a list of items for the burritos so people can ask for additions (we can't see what's behind the counter for options). Lastly, be prepared to make adjustments and adjust costs accordingly (I ordered a chicken quesadilla for my daughter and since only cheese is available on the kids menu, I was charged for a whole side of chicken......then only received a cheese quesadilla with no chicken). Lots to improve on here, but natick really needs alternative options, so hoping for the best! read more
