    Caesar Salad

Visiting this place for the first time for a team lunch, the restaurant is conveniently located right by the corner, there is a huge parking lot at the back of the building complex. The food options are good for a diverse crowd and it's a nice cozy place to have dinner with family and friends as well. The service was relatively fast and the staff was friendly. Please remind to validate your parking if you are parked behind the restaurant.

Have now been here twice on a Tuesday for trivia. Both times have had very different trivia questions (dependent on who is asking and creating them) but the food and service has been great both times. We were a party of 7 one time and a party of 8 the other and they were very accommodating when we booked in advance. The drinks and food were on the pricier side.

Update! They got mint for the summer and make lovely mojitos :) also had a large group (20+ people) catered and the service was excellent!

Food was very good. $6 taco helps with portion-control. Better for the soul. The service was second to none; we had a lot of fun. But disappointed the open mic was not to be for an event was scheduled instead of which we did not see. But the place was clean and the din not obscene with comfortable seating to soothe the spleen.@

Highlight of the meal was the Ceasar Salad, which truly set a new standard for all salads everywhere. Tacos were average, however for the amount of filling they have make them quite overpriced. The only comparison I can make for the harvest bowl is cinnamon. alot. of. cinnamon... little strange... Final thoughts: service was good, ambiance was decent, and the food was alright.

All staff was way kinder than expected. Host, bartender, multiple servers checked on us with a welcoming attitude all night long. The menu had some really creative ideas and they were delicious! The space is open and well designed. The Crunchwrap I ate had a beef patty in it and texturally it wasn't the best. It's probably more labor but it would've had a way better bite if it had been ground beef. The cheese sauce was perfection. Kind of disappointed in the dessert menu options - a house made choco taco would've been something to write home about, but not a sundae of bought ingredients.

This is SUCH a delicious Southwestern restaurant in Wellesley Square! Definitely my new go to spot when I'm in the area! The menu is so unique, featuring a variety of a-la-carte tacos and other Mexican dishes. My roommate and I came here for dinner on a Tuesday night, coincidentally right in time for their 7PM Tuesday night trivia bash. It was so much fun! We ordered a half portion of nachos to start, which were perfectly sized for two people. The guacamole and queso were both super tasty on the chips. For tacos, we each ordered 3 and this was definitely enough food on top of the nacho appetizer. I ordered the chicken, birria, and smash burger tacos. They were absolutely delicious! The smash burger was definitely my favorite, it tasted like the best big mac I've ever had in my life. The birria was also very good as well- it was my first birria I've ever had and I've been so sad to have been missing out, the brown sugar dipping sauce was great for all 3 tacos. My roommate also got the lobster taco and said it was very good. We will 100% be back over an over again. Dinner and trivia is a MUST here.

Food was good. Wait staff was excellent. Attentive. Yet left you alone. Portions were right sized - at least for me. I liked that you ordered items individually. You could order 1 taco. Or 3 tacos. Or 6 tacos. Option of outdoor seating. Parking on street or a big parking lot out back.

Came here with a friend because we were in the area. Our drinks were pretty good, on the stronger side, but I liked how the Purple Haze was smoky and not too sweet. The ahi tuna poke bowl was pretty good, and the addition of hot sauces definitely made it better. I personally liked the PBLT taco best, and the baja fish was a classic baja style dish, but felt the short rib taco was somewhat lacking in flavor and I wish it had more sauce. The sliders were probably the best! A nice kick of jalapeño, juicy beef, and crispy melted cheese. I honestly may come back just to get more sliders! Our waitress was pretty attentive, and our waters were always filled. Overall, the restaurant is quaint and cozy, and a pretty affordable dinner spot compared to other restaurants nearby.

I think the chef is one of those people, because I had the muscles today and it was so salt forward. I mean it was dangerously full salt, but I was so hungry that I ate it anyway and then I told the waitress I said I should not even complain because I ate the dish however they should watch out for the salt. She said it's one of the most popular dishes and people like it that way . The restaurant decided to be gracious enough and swap that off of my order and let me get something else instead, but I was already full, so I took home a salad. Hours later, I figured it would be nice to have something refreshing after all that salt. I'm eating the salad and something crunchy and it's not the normal crunch. So I decide to like look into the lettuce and I see dirt. Especially now with everything going on around lettuce I am beyond shocked. I tried to call the restaurant granted it was dinner time but no answer so I called the sister company in another city and they said they would have the manager reach out to me which never happened . What surprised me as well as the manager from the sister location said he finds this surprising because the lettuce comes in triple washed, and they wash it themselves. All I could say to that is maybe open up the lettuce leaves and rinse them or open your eyes. So I'm putting it out there, I would like my money back, but since you can't answer the phone or own up to any responsibility, I'm leaving this message for you because I get a lot of hits on my reviews and I'm gonna tell people do not eat at this place unless your taste buds are completely dead and you just need salt and dirt survive. PS the ambience is so dark. It's decorated nicely, but they definitely need more light can barely read the menu.. Update, Stewart the owner wouldn't take my call, but they did issue a refund .

Post-COVID, life looks a little different. I've changed jobs and moved to another town, so it's no longer the easy drop-in it once was. Still, I make a point to come back at least every few months. What hasn't changed is the consistency. This remains one of the most reliably excellent restaurants in the Boston area, and still one of my all-time top five--while others that once held that spot haven't quite held up. One thing has changed, though: the Ghost of Mary. Scotty, the former bar manager, created what's still my favorite cocktail of all time. When he left, the drink left with him (by mutual agreement), and while he generously shared the recipe with me, I've never quite managed to recreate it at home. It was clearly meant to be made by the expert. That said, Sycamore hasn't missed a beat. The space is still as comfortable and quirky as ever, the food remains consistently excellent, and the current bar program is in very capable hands. The cocktails are thoughtful and well-executed--just maybe don't remind me about the one I'm missing
