They still serve passionfruit iced tea that hits with a nice tart and a hint of sweetness from the orange. Their sandwiches are tasty, I had a blackened cod. The slaw was a touch too runny, it absorbed the heat of the sandwich and overwhelmed the poor onion ring. The cod survived the onslaught, though, and was well cooked and seasoned. Avoid the charcuterie. It was a mess that looked like it was sourced from the deli counter at the local grocery store. Service was friendly and prompt. Still a decent reliable spot in Wellesley!

It needs more flavor to the salad . it was ok but was just ok .... Dressing may have been out of bottle Caesar salad dressing. My guests their salad selections both looked well prepared . When I go out to a high end steak house, I expect my steak to be cooked as ordered to perfection, and the service to be excellent. I am sad to say this was not the case. Our cocktails and appetizers were adequate, but unimaginative. For dinner, my friend and I each ordered Westholm Wagyu NY Strip ( priced at over $100 each) because we were told they were the best steak on the menu and we wanted to treat ourselves. I ordered mine rare, and my friend ordered his medium. Our other friend got the lamb, which was fine. When our steaks arrived mine was Medium to Medium-well, and his was clearly on the very dead side of well done. When we complained to our waiter he brought over the manager - and then things went really sideways. the manager started by giving us attitude but finally had to concede that my friend's steak was completely over cooked. When I said my steak was over cooked too, he became rude and angry, told me he was already taking my friend's steak off our bill and he wasn't gong to discuss it with me. When I insisted I had ordered my steak rare, he said " I was in the kitchen and watched your steak come out of the oven at a perfect 145º, so stop trying to push it Lady." I was so shocked by his response I didn't argue. I know a rare steak is cooked to 125º - 130º at most. It left me wondering if he treats all women like that.

On the other hand, it was a clean restaurant! We got shrimp cocktail (they charge by the piece). It didn't come with the standard cocktail sauce - not sure what it was - maybe vinegar-based(?), but it was just OK - my friend didn't like the sauce at all but we thought the shrimp was good. We each ordered haddock with green beans and mashed potatoes. The haddock was nicely prepared with breadcrumbs on top and cooked such that it was still flaky, moist, and had a nice light flavor. It was frankly not safe. The driveways were partially blocked for construction which I had to navigate around as a pedestrian. This is not realistically accessible for those who have mobility limitations (the temporary attempts at ramps are not usable with a wheelchair). I was given beverage menus after arrival. They were extremely hard to read as the lighting was turned down. I did manage to read it when I put the menu directly under a pendant. The beer and wine selections looked interesting! I was looking for something non-alcoholic and there was no water readily available nor offered. There were a few (maybe 4) mocktails on the menu-they looked interesting so I got one that resembled a mule (ginger beer based). I ordered one so I wouldn't be empty handed as I talked with people, especially at a networking event. The server gave it to me and made a point of saying "here is your mocktail" (which itself is not unreasonable; referring it by its name or "beverage" is much more appropriate in those circumstances as the drink type and alcohol content or lack thereof is not anyone else's business). The food menu never appeared. The appetizers that were left out for the group were picked over and unappetizing. Cold fried calamari that has been sitting out? No thanks. A cheese and cracker board with no crackers and no serving implements? No thanks. There were two flatbreads there-I had a small square of each and these were ok. About 15 minutes before the event was scheduled to end the server asked me if I wanted another mocktail. I responded with an affirmative. I assumed he had canceled the order as the event ended. As I was getting ready to leave when the event ended (I had my jacket on at that point and he had validated my parking!), he brings over the mocktail and says "here is your mocktail" and sets it on the high top table where it just sat as I left for home. I have no idea if he charged the hosts for the beverage. I left hungry. I left a bit thirsty. I left surprisingly frustrated at the restaurant. When I arrived home, I made myself dinner. Fortunately, I enjoyed meeting new people as the event itself was interesting.
