We gave this spot a try on cinco da Mayo, and we were glad we did. Although smallish, they did a great job of keeping us posted on times. Once we were seated our server was fantastic. Great humor and attention. The drinks were what you expect at a Mexican restaurant and they were strong. Everyone's food was large in portion and very flavorful. First time to eat at Los Cabo's was on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00. The restaurant was not too busy so we were seated right away. Warm chips were served with freshly made mild salsa. We prefer hotter salsa so we add a few drops of Tabasco to spice it up. Started with jalapeño margarita which was spicy, strong and delicious. For lunch we had the pork carnitas with black beans, Spanish rice and a small side of guacamole. The carnitas was served hot, nicely seasoned and very tender. Also had a pick 2 combo: chicken mole enchilada and a cheese chili relleno. The relleno pepper was soft, cheesy and tasty. Mole sauce had a nice flavor. We'll definitely be back! read more

I've started to become a bit of a regular of Los Cabos in Ashland over the past several months. The food is good, decent local Mexican. The standard fare is all good, but I'm in love with the Chipotle Chicken. Perfect level of spice and really tasty. The drinks, of which I've mainly sampled the Margarita's, are perfect. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food be sure to visit here. My sister and I came here for some sisterly bonding time and it's cute decorative restaurant. The drinks were good and at fair price. I ordered the spinach quesadilla (I was feeling veggie that day) and the spinach was sautéed nicely! My sister had the burrito without the sauce and she's picky but absolutely loved it, which says something. And of course had to end it with dessert, which was delish! I've been meaning to check this place out for quite a while now. I got the fajita chicken quesadilla and it was really good! Guacamole with chips was decent. My friend got tacos and they were good but the rice and beans weren't the best we've ever had. I really liked my jalapeño margarita, it tasted homemade and not like other places who use the Jose Cuervo premade stuff. Also, it was just the right amount of spicy! We came here last night because I was craving for guacamole! I wish it was kind table made but it wasn't. The service was a bit slower than the first time we came. There was only one server on the whole floor, which I did kind of feel bad for him. We ordered shredded chicken quesadilla and dos compadres (steak and chicken combo). We have been waiting for months for Los Cabos to open, so we were excited when we drove by on Friday and saw the doors open. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the exterior, but the inside was very well decorated, authentic, and clean. Our server was great...very attentive to the kids and patient. The chips were warm and the salsa was above average. Extremely similar to Acapulcos in Milford, Framingham, or Sudbury. I had the Ranchero burrito for my meal. I asked for it with sour cream and jalapeños on the inside, which they actually got right (Acapulcos manages to screw that simple request up almost every visit). The presentation of the food was also much nicer than you most of the competitors in the area. Overall, a very positive first experience and we will definitely be back. With so few good Mexican options in the area, I expect Los Cabos to do really well and I wish the new owners luck! read more

We live a few minutes away from Los Cabos and really enjoy going here. The meals are quite large for the price, and often a dinenr for 2 is under $30. My go-to meal is the chili verde pork. It is tough to find a good chili verde dish anywhere, and this one hits the spot. The chips and salsa is always very good (with a bit of a kick to it too). We have been consistently getting takeout from there during the Covid-19 pandemic and hope this place will stick around for a long time! read more

Have been to this place many times before Covid. They revamped the menu. I had no reason to think the recipes would change also. First they paired up the Chili Rellenos with a spinach filled burrito / enchilada not sure I really dislike spinach and asked if I could get 2 chillis instead. Oh yes, but extra charge....for what, swapping from spinach to a pepper! They used to have the best Chili Rellenos in the area no longer the case. The chilis are no longer in the light batter with cheese baked on top, they are now encased in egg. It is like an omelet encased pepper, DISGUSTING! The cheese inside used to be gooey and tasty. The cheese is now hard and tasteless. Instead of the refried beans with the Spanish rice it is now hard tasteless whole black beans with white rice and a token pea. Also they have added this red watery sauce that is extremely hot. What idiot decided to make such drastic changes! read more

I want to start off by saying that I never write reviews; however, I felt compelled to write one after dining at Los Cabos. I recently moved to the area and was interested in Los Cabos. Some of the reviews almost steered me away and I'm glad they didn't. We sat at the bar and the female bar tender was great- she was friendly, very attentive, and made a delicious margarita. We ordered the taquitos to start along with the cheese dip. Both were delicious. I had the Birria tacos and they were absolutely amazing-there was so much flavor in every bite and the dipping sauce was flavor packed. My boyfriend had the carnitas fajitas and he thoroughly enjoyed them. Both plates were enormous and could have fed a small family. Our food came out quick and the staff was very friendly. I appreciate authentic cuisine and I am very happy that I gave Los Cabos a try. I will definitely return soon! read more

Gave it a second try recently. I would give the 1st try which was over a a year ago, 2 stars. We went back very recently and I would give it a 4 star, so for now average of 3. Our first visit, found the food unfavorable. Really didn't expect to go back. This time we tried a more modest menu of salads. Each of the salads was reasonably sized for the money, have a good amount of ingredients and found the steak and chicken cooked well. Chips and salsa were excellent and I think the were the 1st time as well. While I wouldn't call it a "go to" place, I will certainly give it another try and not wait as long. read more

Waste of time and money at this place. Hostess did not know what a high chair and booth was. Waiter was rude and questioned I order guac, which by the way was rancid, when he comes back for food order and no with water. Guac was previously made and had def gone bad. Then on to the main course, the veggie fajitas were literally frozen veggies placed on grill no seasonings and moved to a hot plate. Salt - either they ran out of salt or just refused to add any flavor to their food Nothing, rice, beans nor fajitas had any salt in it. I have dined at Los Cabos twice. On both occasions the food has been below my expectations. The first time I ordered a quesadilla. There was no flavor other than the taste of cheese and plain white meat chicken. Lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and a red sauce were on the side. The red sauce had a ketchup consistency and a spicy taste. The guacamole was comprised of chopped up pieces of quac with some diced tomatoes mixed in. On my second visit, when I first sat down, the waiter brought over a basket of chips and a small carafe of what I thought was salsa. It was hot sauce, not salsa. I ordered a Taco salad with chicken. When it arrived, there was no chicken on it. I mentioned this to the manager. He didn't appear to be concerned. The waiter came over to the table and told me that the chicken was at the bottom of the Taco shell. Sure enough - at the very bottom of the taco shell was soggy, shredded thigh meat chicken. The salad consisted of one tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese on top of one to two cups of freshly shredded lettuce. There were no black olives and no salsa. I don't think that they have any salsa in this restaurant. There was a separate dish with a small scoop of sour cream and a small scoop of guacamole. The guac had been pureed and was slimy looking. I had two tastes of cilantro that had been mixed in with the chicken. That was the only flavoring in the taco salad. The shell was good. To be fair, the waiter noticed my displeasure when I dug through the lettuce to the bottom of the bowl and saw the shredded chicken. He was very nice and said that if I didn't like the Taco salad, that he'd bring me another meal. At that point I had already started eating the salad and just wanted to finish it and leave the restaurant. Without the waiter coming over to my table and offering me another meal, this would have been a two star review. They have lunch menus now. The menu is double sided, which you wouldn't know unless you turned it over. read more

I come here all the time and it's great. Came today and I didn't get the right stuff I ordered to go and they gave me the wrong meat in my burrito; I ordered ground beef and they gave me chicken. Also the tres compadres plate had only 3 shrimp in it. I really hope their quality does not go down very disappointed. read more
