I come here all the time and it's great. Came today and I didn't get the right stuff I ordered to go and they gave me the wrong meat in my burrito; I ordered ground beef and they gave me chicken. Also the tres compadres plate had only 3 shrimp in it. I really hope their quality does not go down very disappointed. read more

Not my first time here but probably my last ... I was hoping for better but the food just isn't good . The service we had tonight wasn't horrible ... she came periodically but considering we were her only table probably could have checked in more than just asking for our app then dinner order . Either way the rating isn't her fault . The food is just not good . We got two types of salsa ... one that was basically Tomato sauce with basil and the other was a little better than pace picante sauce . First impressions were good. Server was very friendly and chips were freshly made and not overly salted. Both meals, chicken chimichanga and Steak fajita were not good. Shredded chicken tasted boiled or steamed and Fajita had a"Funky" taste. We left without eating our meals because we don't like to send back our food even though the waiter asked why we didn't eat it or want to pack it up. read more

We are in Los Cabos parking lot multiple times per week since our son goes to daycare next door, and we always say "we need to try that place" but feel bad cheating on the other Mexican restaurant in town which has been our go-to since moving to Ashland. We finally made it for lunch a few weeks ago, and we were not disappointed; in fact, I think we found our new go-to. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. Chips are delivered hot and fresh upon sitting with a carafe of salsa and individual bowls. We ordered guacamole and although not made tableside (maybe they do tableside at dinner) it tasted as if it were made fresh to order. The sangria was delicious and the house margarita was fine, except next time I'll order it made with lime and not sour mix. I had the chimichanga with the queso blanco sauce and it was very spicy but absolutely addicting. My husband had the steak fajita chimichanga which he said was awesome. Our friends had pork chimichanga and steak fajitas and they enjoyed them as well. Everything was served with a healthy portion of rice and refried beans. This place was a major find!! We drove by a million times but never tried it. Finally went to try it on the recommendation of another. All I can say is W-O-W!!!! This is my new favorite Mexican dining establishment!!!! The service was excellent and the food was KILLER!!! The homemade guacamole was fantastic!! My partner got a shrimp dish with garlic sauce that he said was the best sauce he has ever had in his life and we eat in Boston a lot!! I got a quesadilla which was the best I have ever had...crispy now soggy with grilled chicken and cheese! I only write reviews if service is awful or amazing hence my lack of reviews! We had an amazing family night at Los Cabos! The place looks so bright and colorful. We felt like we were in Mexico. The service was great. The food was very good! Went in for lunch, no lunch menu :-( Ordered two taco salads, menu said they came with guacamole. Server asked if we would like to try some fresh guacamole, we said OK. Shortly a smiling guacamole maker arrived table side with a special cart, complete with a tip jar, really? He proceeds to make a large bowl full of guac, enough for at least 4-5 people, (two whole avocados). Salads arrive with their sides of guac, lots of guac on the table now. The taco salads were OK, nothing special, lettuce was wet with water, not sure why. My lunch mate ordered a 22oz. draft beer. Check arrives complete with $8.50 charge for the table side guac, lunch for two=$35 plus the tip for the guac cart man and the server tip. $43. for a very underwhelming lunch. Oh yeah, the music was loud and annoying, the first table we were seated at was so wobbly we asked to be moved and the server seemed to be enjoying his first job ever as a waiter. The salsa was delicious and the server was attentive. The reason for the low rating is that they rip you off. Multiple menu items that we ordered (corn appetizer, taquitos, etc.) were a lower price on the menu, so when the bill came, it was a bit of a surprise. We mentioned it to the server. She apologized and said she had previously said something to the manager but nothing was done. We spoke to the manager ourselves. I told him it would cost next to nothing to use a Sharpie or some sticker labels to correct the prices, and he just shrugged his shoulders. They took the itemized receipt from us when we paid and when we asked for the owner's business card, we were given a generic card with the restaurant name, address, and phone number. How many people have they already cheated? I would stay away. There are plenty of fabulous Mexican restaurants in Natick, Shrewsbury, Worcester, and Westborough and they all charge you the prices that are listed on their menus. read more

I really love the atmosphere, I felt like I was outside of the US. Unfortunately my meal wasn't as exciting. It was just blah. I had the steak fajitas. The steak was dry, over cooked, and had no seasoning. Same with the salsa, void of any spice or flavor. It wasn't so awful that I sent my lunch back but I don't see myself giving it another shot. The hubby and I have been here twice now. The food is quite yummy, though not the best Mexican we've ever had. However, the margaritas are really great! I've gotten the peach and the raspberry. You can tell they use puree instead of fake sugar flavoring, so I am a fan! The portions are very generous, so my husband and I ordered the made-to-order guacamole and chicken fajitas to share. The guacamole didn't really have any flavor and was over $10, but the fajitas were quite yummy with good veggies and seasoning. Plenty of parking and never too long of a wait. The service could be better, but the staff is friendly. As a note, when they get busy on the weekend they don't tend to clean the booths as well as they should. We ate at Los Cabos last night and were very disappointed, the food was extremely bland, my Fajitas came out barely warm, served on sizzle plater that was stone cold. We found the wait staff very friendly and attentive, I would give them a 4 star rating, and would rate the ambiance a 3. I have been wanting to try this place since it opened, and I am so glad I did!! The atmosphere was casual and fun!! Lots of bright colors and fun decor. My friend and I sat at the bar. The staff was very friendly and no more than a minute after we sat we has fresh salsa and warm chips in front of us. Got the chicken tacos and my girlfriend got shrimp and bacon tacos, SO GOOD. I'm very surprised to see the bad reviews for this restaurant. I've been there a few times and ordered something different each time. They've accommodated special requests and have hotter salsas other than what's typically served. I love the guacamole made fresh for your table! Every meal has been tasty, (Way better than Acapulcos or The Alamo) was a generous serving, and the staff was great. One of these times I sat at the bar and I'll agree each bartender doesn't know how to make all drinks, but amongst them there's someone who makes wonderful margaritas and sangria! I know that if you had an issue with your meal and brought it up to your waiter, never mind the manager, that you would've been taken care of. I ate here once before and I thought it was good and liked their Margarita. I went the other night. I sat in a booth for 20 minutes before the waiter came over and took my order. I ordered the steak fajitas tacos. They came cold and tough, I also asked for extra sour cream. It never came and the waiter never once came back. Eventually I pushed my food to the center of the table and someone cleaned it up but no one ever brought the check. I had to go to the front and ask for it I asked for the manager and after explaining how poor the service was to three different people no one offered to do anything for me but hand me the check. I paid it and for the first time in my life I did not leave a tip The service was bad and the food was bad. Oh, the manager said she was sorry but he had a large party in the back. Well, the positives. The owner greeted us, friendly and welcoming. Our server was prompt and attentive. The taco chips came earn and a generous serving. The server called us"amigos." The things I think need improving are The following. The salsa came in a narrow neck bottle and impossible to get out without sticking a knife into it like the catsup bottle at home. I saw other diners with the same problem. The chicken in my dish looked like it had been ripped apart farther than sliced, not appetizing. The fajita wraps came warm. And instead of black beans, they were brown, tasty but looking like Heinz. While the meal was tasty and hot, I think I could rate this higher if it were more like Cafe Azteca in Lawrence. We are new to the area and are looking for a Mexican spot. We just recently moved from Southern California so we have been eating really great Mexican for a long time. That being said, I'll be the 1st to admit we're kinda particular. Restaurant was clean. Staff was nice. Chips were good. We asked for regular salsa and spicy salsa. The spicy is a habanero purée and was great. Flavorful and hot. The regular salsa was very chunky. Almost too chunky. I think if it was blended more it would have been better. Tomato and onion chunks were so big they were hard to scoop up and all the water from the veggies settled at the bottom. Was a little disappointing. Food came out. Portions were large. My daughter had the carnitas. I was surprised they weren't served with tortillas. Anyway. The meat was tender and the flavor was good. My husband had the 3 enchiladas plate. The mole sauce was way too sweet. My other daughter had a burrito. It was huge, but lacked flavor. The beans tasted like they were canned and the rice needed more seasoning. I had a cheese enchilada. It was so bland and was cold when I was served. Unfortunately our server didn't come by to check on us so I couldn't even ask them to pop it in the oven to heat it up. I think he was also the bartender at the time. The food was just meh. Not very authentic. Lacking in flavor and spice. Pretty much tasted like Taco Bell on fancy plates. read more

I can't say enough good about Los Cabos! This place should have more stars than it does!! My husband and I stumbled upon the restaurant recently and have been loving the large portions and cheap prices! I'm a huge fan of the enchiladas and my husband loves the burritos. This past weekend, we used them to cater our daughter's first birthday party. Cesar was incredible to work with!! Not only did he provide extra food than we had ordered, but he even delivered the food to us on the day of to save me a trip in the pouring rain. Everyone raved about the taco bar at the party. The owner comes from Acapulcos, so that doesn't say much for the food, it is an enhanced taco bell, lots of lettuce and sheered cheese and no taste. I had a small Michelada and I was charged the for the large one. Our waiter needed caffeine, he was like a zombie, just doing his job. My company asked for Jarritos or Horchata but they didn't have any. My tacos were bland, refried beans tasted canned and dry rice, no soup in the menu. They place looks nice but it is that is all.
