I usually come for the little walk around the farm to see what's growing, the u-pick flower garden, to swing on the swing set, and to see if any farm animals are around. There's a parking lot and picnic tables scattered around. Pricing is reasonable, u-pick is about $15, they used to charge by flower stem. They also host events and have activities for kids. Honestly, Weston is more of a suburb so it's a nice surprise for people when I tell them that there is actually more to see than large homes!

I knew our kids would absolutely love it, so we decided to stop by on Friday. When we arrived, we found out that tickets were required, and unfortunately, they were sold out online. One of the wonderful ladies at the ice cream truck suggested that we speak with the owner to see if there happened to be a cancellation, especially since we had traveled all the way from New Jersey. We spoke with the owner, and he kindly told us that if someone canceled, he would let us take their spot. Honestly, I didn't have much hope because there were seven of us! We decided to stick around and get some ice cream while we waited and I'm so glad we did! Their ice cream was AMAZING. The Cookie Monster was honestly one of the best I've ever had. While we were there, the kids got to see a cow with her baby, ducks, goats, and several other animals. They played, explored, and were genuinely having such a great time. Eventually, the owner's wife came over and let us know that unfortunately, there hadn't been any cancellations. But then something happened that truly touched our hearts. She knew from her husband that we had come all the way from New Jersey and wouldn't be able to come back another time, so she allowed our kids to feed some of the cows anyway without doing the ride, but from the gate. That small gesture meant SO much to us. She took the time to tell us about the cows and the other animals, answer our questions, and make our kids feel so welcome. It's not every day that you come across a business that goes out of its way to be this kind and accommodating, and it genuinely warmed my heart. We had such a fun experience, and the kids are still talking about it! If you're ever in the area, PLEASE go check them out. And definitely try the ice cream, even if you can't get tickets to the farm experience. It's absolutely worth the stop! Thank you for making our unexpected detour such a special memory.

Before booking, I called to ask some questions and specifically mentioned that I have a service animal. The woman I spoke with assured me it wasn't an issue but suggested I call closer to the date as a reminder so they could accommodate us. This was in June, and I booked the tour for September 20th. We looked forward to it for months. Last week, I called again, as instructed, and was once more assured it wouldn't be a problem. This person also suggested I call on the day of the tour because it was fully booked and they wanted to ensure we had enough space. I said I appreciated the courtesy and would follow up. On the day of our tour, I called the number on my ticket confirmation three times. No one answered. On my third attempt, at 12:21 p.m., I left a detailed voicemail explaining that I was following up as instructed, identifying our tour, party size, and my phone number. I never received a response. We arrived at 2:45 p.m. for our 3:30 p.m. tour. At check-in, two staff members politely advised me come ten minutes early so we could board the wagon first. Everything was great, and we went to get ice cream. Then, while we were waiting in line, a man approached us and informed me that my service animal was not permitted. I initially thought there had been a misunderstanding, and explained that I had specifically asked about my service animal before purchasing tickets, had followed up the previous week, and had been repeatedly assured it wasn't an issue. His response? I should have followed up closer to the date. I reminded him that I had attempted to do exactly that earlier that afternoon, but no one had answered my calls or returned my voicemail. He had the gall to ask whether I had emailed them as well, as though it were my responsibility to compensate for their failure to answer the phone or respond to messages. My friend, who has experience in conflict resolution, tried to explain that my frustration stemmed from having spoken with four staff members on three separate occasions, without a single person indicating that the service animal would be an issue until ten minutes before boarding. The man claimed this was a "new" policy because dogs and cows had reacted to one another in the past. Fair enough, but that doesn't excuse the fact that I had gone above and beyond to communicate and had been given assurances every step of the way, all the way up to check in. He then contradicted himself, claiming the policy had been in place for some time. When my friend pointed out that this suggested a significant training failure, he insisted staff were aware and said he would "remind" them. I accompanied him, against his wishes, and witnessed the so-called reminder, which appeared to be a first notice, not a reinforcement of an established policy. He put his staff in an uncomfortable position and took no responsibility for how the situation had been handled. At no point did he offer a refund, alternative accommodation, or even a sincere apology. The result? Three hours of driving roundtrip, half a tank of gas, wasted time and money, and the embarrassment of having this happen in front of my friend, for whom this trip was supposed to be a birthday gift. I realize this complaint may not resonate with everyone, since most people won't find themselves in this position, and I am not allowed enough characters to go into all the detail of what took place. However, I've seen other complaints on other platforms also referencing this man's arrogant and combative behavior, and based on my own experience, I would not want to patron a business where customers are treated this way. There are plenty of other farms to visit and wagon rides to take, that are much more deserving of the business. We may not have gone on safari, but we definitely got to see a snake.

They had a wide variety of desserts, pies, cakes, cookies, etc. we were so full from dinner from lunch. Excuse me that we did not get dessert but we had promised we would come back we did, however, find out that they do do catering in the platters with absolutely out of this world. They had several kinds of bread as well for the sandwiches this time we got a wrap I think next time we'll definitely probably get it on like a whole-grain bread that they had because the wrap was just too much. But everybody was kind and friendly and helpful and welcoming, and that we were outside waves of the call our name and they brought our sandwiches right out to us. It was so big. We were only able to eat about maybe 3/4 and they brought the rest home for later. Met some nice people there that were singing on the tables and then the young fellow was taking the meat and stuff out of the smoker they had outside and he while we were there they took out the Rose turkey breast that they had been doing in the in the smoker, they also had ribs as well as a ham. They say they run it continuously all the time so I believe that it was just a lot of stuff going on, but there was definitely a lot of choices they had made to order. They also had fresh and they had frozen for you to take home. So this is I really like the variety we will go back.

Since I only needed enough food for two and didn't want to do the whole cooking all day thing, I got a premade dinner that consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and butternut squash - plus gravy and cranberry sauce. The portions/serving sizes were huge - had plenty and then some, leftovers for days!! We got it a few days early and put it in the freezer to keep...Took it out two days before eating time and let it defrost in the fridge. Transferred everything but the turkey to pots/pans on the stove for heating instead of the microwave and put the turkey in the oven day of. It was super easy to reheat everything and get it to temp. I had concerns about the mashed potatoes as those can be weird sometimes but they reheated perfectly. Everything tasted SO good, full of flavor, and very delish! The turkey was very moist and tender - like fall apart and the flavor of the gravy, and sides were all excellent. I think this was probably one of the best turkeys I have had. Definitely want to try the outpost farm again as I am sure everything they have is great. I was very happy with the choice and outcome and it made our Thanksgiving meal like a home cooked meal minus the mess and all the cooking lol.

They worked patiently with us at every step. We gave them the adjective "Ottolenghi-esque" at the beginning and a few other notes about our taste, and they ran with it from there, delivering a draft menu that was amazing and then revising it according to our feedback. Throughout, they were easy to work with and extremely professional, and they pulled off of the details on the day beautifully, with everyone leaving happily stuffed and thrilled. (They even accommodated our gluten-free and dairy-free guests with delicious alternatives.) The waitstaff was also fantastic and helped ensure that my husband and I got enough to eat amidst all the busy-ness and dancing. Now, just a few weeks later, we are constantly hearing from friends and family about how great the food was (the best they've ever had by some accounts), asking for Saltbox's name, and remarking about how they completely forgot that they were eating vegetarian for the night because every dish was so delicious. Of course, we made it on the last night...Labor Day weekend (Friday), we were able to make it part of a trip to Marshfield so it was great. We made the trip....traffic was not to bad, which was a huge bonus. Upon arrival, we noticed that it was a very busy night at Langwater...tons of cars parked in the front of the farm in an orderly fashion. We were lucky enough to get a spot near the entry and make our way to the Farm. Immediately, we saw two lines....one for pizza and one for drinks (at the bar). The lines moved quickly. The stafff at Langwater has a real great process of getting each order in and moving on to the next customer. Obviously, they have done this before! The pizza that we ordered as "excellent". The wood-fired ovens were roaring and pumping pizza's out quickly! The bartenders at the bar were just as quick. Plenty of help and everyone moving through the drink line was awesome to see. Music was being played with hundreds of families and friends laying around on their blankets and beach chairs, which made everyone happy and the vibe relaxed! I would love to come back here when the farmstand is open and to try some chicken wings and ice cream....which I decided not to try this visit.
