Got a drink, took one sip, and noticed something funky floating in my cup. Looked closer--boom, MOLD in the ice! Like, not a speck, but a full-on science experiment. I'm talking fuzzy green patches that looked like they were auditioning for a horror flick. I flagged down the server, who just shrugged and said, "Ice is ice, man." ICE IS ICE?! Bro, this wasn't ice, this was a biohazard! But it gets worse. About 20 minutes after choking down a few sips (mistake of the century), my stomach started rumbling like I'd just chugged the Joe Biden Special--a cocktail of 16 Ex-Lax, 12 Metamucil, and 10 Dulcolax blended with regret. I'm talking volcanic eruptions. I barely made it to the bathroom, which, by the way, looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Reagan administration. I'm still recovering after 3 daya and I'm pretty sure my colon filed for divorce. Avoid this place unless you want your insides to stage a full-scale rebellion. It is located in the middle off a parking lot in Sudbury MA - less than an hour's drive from Boston. It is in an old converted Fotomat Booth that were hugely popular in the 60s & 70s. Debbie's has No Tables, No Chairs, No Booths, No Counters Inside nor Outside. It's a tiny little shack that is Drive Thru Only & offers several kinds of made from pastries & baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs & several kinds of coffee & tea too. There are 2 open windows one on each side & there were 2 people in a pandemic with masks on dishing out food. You will be Amazed & are going to say - How the heck do they stick all that food & people working in there? There!s also a cash register, a Refrigerator & God only knows what else they've got stuck in this tiny shack? The only logical explanation on how they fit all this stuff in here & cook it too - they must have tiny elves working in there! That's It! LOL! You drive your car up, order, pay & pick up @ the same spot. They accept Cash & Credit Card, Our favorite of Everything we tried was The Jamaican Me Crazy Coffee. It's vanilla, caramel and Kahlua - Very Good. Do you get it- it's a play on words in other words You're Driving Me Crazy. They've got a good sense of Humor here too! LOL! Debbie's Coffee is different than other coffee shops. Their coffee is brewed which means the flavor is infused in the coffee beans when they are roasted. People who watch the Tiny Homes TV Show will go Wild in here! Also photographers, film people, Retro people & people who love visiting old Fotomat Booths will also Go Wild in here! A Little Bit of History Fotomat started in San Diego CA in the 1960s & was a film development company located in a shack in the middle of a Parking lot in a shopping center. Before Fotomat came along, there were no Cell phone cameras, so you took your pictures & dropped them off. It took more than a week to have your film developed. Fotomat came along & revolutionized the photography business by offering Next Day film development. Soon their business skyrocketed & there were more than 4000 Fotomats across the Nation coast to coast. Some of their commercials were very funny & can be seen on YouTube. Check them out! They even had big stars like Pam Dawber from Mork & Mindy with Robin Williams pitching their product. Their shacks had pyramid shaped gold colored roofs with blue lettering. Fotomat sold their own film & Kodak film also. Everyone in the 60s & 70s enjoyed going to Fotomat to get their pictures developed. In the 1980s mini labs revolutionized the film industry once again by offering 1 Hour lab development inside independent stores & chains like Walgreens & other Drug Stores. Soon Fotomat 1 Day Service was outdated with 1 hour service shops. Fotomat however hung on & was one of the first to introduce renting Hollywood movies. Yes before there was a Blockbuster there was a Fotomat. There would be no Netflix today without its founding father of video renting Fotomat. They also got into the transferring of home movies into video cassette market & digital media. But enter a new millennium & their competitors were doing a faster cheaper way of doing all of their services. Fotomat was sold to Konica & then to Viewpoint. They tried to hang in there by switching to an online business. In 2009 the lights finally went out on Fotomat. Some of the original booths were knocked down but others still remain today & have been converted into other small businesses.The memory of happy people getting their pictures back still remains in people's hearts. Debbies Drive Thru Coffee Shop has a rich History of the Fotomat story built right into its structure. We've seen the shack several times and were lucky enough to stop by and see it open on Thursday. Great location right near the market. The man who helped us was friendly as we quizzed him on the most popular ice coffee flavors. A woman recommended Jamaican Me Crazy and we went with it. She promised us vanilla and coconut and caramel and she did not lie. You could really taste all three flavors. It was deliciously made and very smooth with plenty of cream as requested and only for $3. Heavenly. I hope they're open again the next time we stop by as I want to try more of this awesome coffee! read more

I heard good things about Debby's Drive-Thru but I don't live in the area, so when I was driving nearby today, I had to stop by. I am SO glad I did. I was floored by the selection of coffee/pastries/food that they fit within such a small spot. But more importantly, I was floored by the service! They were so lovely and helped me pick out the perfect coffee - Jamaican Me Crazy, which apparently is a crowd pleaser. The flavor comes from the beans itself rather than added shots. I also ordered a sausage, egg, cheese, and hashbrown sandwich - it was made fresh in front of me (again, what a feat for such a small space)! As for the baked goods, the apple fritter was excellent, and Debby even offered me a complimentary piece of the eggnog pound cake since she was testing out new seasonal flavors. I really can't gush enough about how much I enjoyed the experience. My only regret is that I don't live closer. If you're in the area, definitely make a pit stop. So I "agree" with the other reviews that the coffee is tasty and baked goods are delicious. My one star review today is based solely on customer service or should I say lack of customer appreciation. I have been going to Debbies coffee for years. Today was my last day though, due to the incident that happened and the excessive rudeness I experienced. I pulled in and was number three in line of cars waiting to be served... Not a problem. Debbie came out and with a smile took my order. I jokingly said "wow! We get car service... I'm impressed!" And we laughed. I gave her my coffee order and said that I might want to purchase one of her baked goods. She came back with my coffee and a tray of baked products. I chose a cookie and gave her my credit card. As I was waiting for her to come back I realized I had no place to put my coffee as I still had yesterday's coffee with about 1 inch of coffee left from the day before from a different coffee establishment. I was going to ask her to throw it out for me so that I would have room for my new coffee but I felt that would have been rude. So I dumped out the remaining two sips or 1 inch of coffee left in the cup on the ground and put the cup in a trash bag I had in my car. Debbie came back with my credit card And immediately noticed the small amount of spilled beverage on the ground and asked if I did it. I quickly admitted it was me and that's when she started to chastise me. She commented that she would now have to walk in it... (This was coffee...not tuberculosis)... since she was going car to car. I apologized...but she continued. I again apologized and explained to her I didn't think anything of it because it wasn't a biohazard and that the rain would wash away. She complained that there was not going to be rain for days and then actually said that it would "stain the parking lot"??!! She continued to complaine that it had no place to run off. This time I made another apology....even MORE sincere than the first. I said "I'm sorry, I apologize, it was not my intention to upset you". She STILL continued by saying "you're a cleaner you should know better". I reiterated to her that I'm not a cleaner I'm a Groomer... and decided to take the highroad and once again apologized while looking her right in the eye. She then sort of laughed and rolled her eyes & ended by saying well I guess I'll just go get a bucket of water and clean it up!! I might have let that kind of chastising go if it was a friend or even my own mother... But she is not. She is a business owner and I am a customer. I apologized...SINCERELY...NUMEROUS TIMES. Whether I was right or whether I was wrong I sincerely apologized as I never meant to upset her as it did. There was no need for her to keep it going as long as she did and embarrasse her customer over such a small thing....then by telling me she was going to get a bucket of water and clean it up just added more insult to injury and was absolutely unnecessary. This upset me enough that I've come here today to actually leave this negative review. It's too bad Debbie... But you just can't treat your customers like that. read more

Her original 'red white and blue' iced coffee became an immediate favorite for the adults - and the 8 and 11 year-olds in my backseat fell in love with her when she invented their 'non-coffee iced mocha' (chocolate milk over ice with chocolate swirl and whipped cream). Not only can you get great coffee (try the Chocolate Royale!), wonderful pastries (even homemade gluten free granola bars and cookies), and breakfast sandwiches, you have Debby greeting you with a smile and warm hello. Starbucks used to be my go-to place - no longer!! This place is a gem. I love that it's drive up and even if you are behind a car, Debbie or her helper will come over to your car to take your order. She personalizes every drink and I love playing guinea pig when she's trying out new concoctions. I was very disappointed when coming here, I ordered a 16oz Coconut Latte. What I got was a iced coconut flavored milk with foam on it. I should have known better when the girl started putting the foam on a iced coffee, that I should have driven away then, also noting the color of the "coffee" which was white. I drove away without tasting since my baby was screaming in the back and we were late to a appointment. I returned the next day, to explain that my "latte" did not taste or look like it contained any coffee in it. Hoping for a do over from the barista but no, she argued that it wouldn't look or taste (!) like coffee since it has so much milk in it...Ok I think I know what it should look and taste since I love coffee. They put one shot of espresso in the 16oz, ok but it should have at least tasted like a hint of coffee. She was not very helpful. For starters, Debby is possibly the happiest person in Sudbury and greats all of her customers with a big smile and aims to please. The coffee in my opinion is the best around and is always made exactly how I like it. The menu is quite large and she offers a large variety of coffee drinks and teas. Believe it or not she also has several different kinds of breakfast sandwiches, even a gluten free option, and several different kinds of baked goods. Cute independent drive-up coffee stand in the Sudbury Crossing parking lot (stand is located near the Rite Aid). Person who runs it is nice, coffee is from Red Barn and is delicious! Convenient place to stop for morning java, especially if you're driving east on Route 20. They also offer baked goods, tea, and the like. read more

Love this place. I took my boys and dog there and we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. We had a few egg sandwiches (made to order) and some hot beverages. Debbie came out to get our order while we were waiting in line to speed things up! Now that is customer service!! Everything was delicious and just as we ordered. I would encourage anyone to stop there if they need something tasty to start their day. They even offered our pooch a yummy dog treat (which he gladly accepted!).
