the "incredible "bagel sandwich was absolutely the most disgusting breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The menu says fresh, healthy, etc. etc. the only thing fresh about that bagel was the avocado and maybe the egg. Pretty sure it was Oscar Meyer "bacon" or some other form of microwavable bacon (which isn't really bacon ). Which is totally unacceptable in this day and age. And the sweet sauce they put on it was horrendous. My stomach hurt the entire day. If you're not going to use quality bagels and quality bacon, you should not be charging almost $13 a sandwich. your menu should also list the ingredients line by line. I asked the cashier what was on this and he did not mention a disgusting sweet sauce. It's no wonder there's a line out the door for the café down the street and two people inside this café. Although I did not get anything else, but that sandwich, I will not be returning based on that alone. You should be ashamed for even serving that. read more

I love meeting up with folks here especially if you don't want the heaviness of a full meal! The whole ambiance with classical music and their menu of beverages, sweets and sandwiches. Everything I've tried here has been tasty. They have limited seating so I've seen it completely full if someone brings a larger group through the doorway. They have a bathroom that is keypad locked so if you've made a purchase just ask them for the #. The Hokkaido Toast sandwich was light and airy. The signature cream does make it on the sweeter side. It paired so well with the rose matcha latte which I've ordered twice now. The pastries and cakes look so tempting too in the display panels. I don't typically drink coffee but if I ever get there early enough I'll try the Crème Brûlée, Vienna Pistachio, or their signature latte. As a tea lover they also have some additional retail items for you to browse for tea steeping and gift sets. The only downside and maybe that's what makes it not as crazy busy on weekends as Tatte is that I want even more options. You can also order whole cakes too if one slice isn't enough. When it gets warmer I will try some of their smoothies and chilled drinks over ice! read more

So this is a very clean little coffee house with free wifi. The desserts look terrific. For me, it's not a great working space. It's not that it isn't nice, just not enough room to spread out. And I can't do a fair review of their coffee because I got the creme brulee latte forgetting I almost never like lattes. But this one tasted pretty much like those nespresso things--which I do NOT care for. With that syrup that I also don't care for. But the desserts looked amazing. So--I'm probably going to pop on over to Common Good where they apparently make their own syrup for lattes, where the ground coffee is surprisingly good if you buy a bag, and where the space is delightful. But Caffe Ollo does have free wifi. Again, for me, I'm popping on down to the Cafe on the Common which is a delightful workspace with free wifi. And the food is actually quite good. Again, this place is not for me but it might work for you. read more

The signature (ube) drink tasted bitter. I've had ube drinks for years in different places and it never tasted so bitter. It was so bad I had to look up online if it was safe to drink. I mentioned to the barista that bitter ube can mean it's toxic, and that I didn't feel safe drinking it, and he just argued with me and said it was a good quality drink. No apologies, no refund. The guy was really cold since we arrived. Also some of the pastries and other items are the exactly as in HMART so I wouldn't be surprised if they order their items from there and just serve it at Ollo. Funny thing is HMART's stuff tastes more fresh. So I won't be stepping into Ollo ever again. read more

I stopped by this morning before work and opted to get two of their lattes because they looked so good. I got a tiramisu latte and a crème brûlée latte. They were AMAZING. Both drinks had a perfect amount of coffee and sweet flavor. It was a perfect wake up treat this morning. These lattes were a little on the pricier side, especially when I get almond milk in my coffee (which is an upcharge). Another thing to note is that this cafe is tucked inside an apartment building. You would have to keep in mind where it's placed to find it. However, there's street parking and a parking lot in the rear of the building. As for seating, there's not an overwhelming amount of seating options but there are some! Overall, I would definitely find myself returning here to get another one of those crème brûlée lattes! Now that Indulgenza went out of business, it seems to me there are only two coffee centered places on Moody St., but what fantastic cafes they are! Common Good is the main one, and Caffe Ollo is the other further up near the bridge. They've been around for less than a year but we stumbled on it within their first week. This cafe has a very sleek and modern interior, well lit with beautiful decorations often musically themed, and classical music playing. It's a very tranquil atmosphere and I enjoy hanging out there. They have numerous delicious pastries, including a spinach & feta one, chocolate croissants, crepes, danishes, breakfast sandwiches, and apple type squares too. There are numerous yogurt, marscapone, and mousse cakes and macarons as well. When it comes to latte flavors, Caffe Ollo is among the very best you could find. Not only do they have a great line-up of common ones like vanilla, mocha, hazelnut, lavender, even brown sugar(!), etc. but they have two fantastic special flavors with cold foam, called Crème Brûlée (with caramel drizzle as well) and Vienna Pistachio! The coffees are very smooth and on the lighter side, perfect for what I'm looking for. They also have many fruit teas, refreshers, and delicious looking smoothies that I will surely try this summer. This place is pretty specialized and upscale, prices a bit high, so great to visit when you're looking to treat yourself. There's one barista in particular who's there a lot, great and personable. Caffe Ollo is one of my favorite places to visit in the area and comes highly recommended! read more

Caffe Ollo opened in October 2023. It is a welcome café addition to Moody St as there aren't as many as you think that sell lattes. They have delicious lattes, really good pastries. Really pretty ambiance - you feel fancy being in there as it has a clean, modern aesthetic. Classical music is played, the café is focused on musical themes which I appreciate! The service is great. They sell food items like croissants, macarons, tiramisu, sandwiches. They have lattes, refreshers, teas. Their rewards program allows for a free piece of tiramisu once you get 100 "music notes" or points. Parking is street parking but there's a lot nearby which is low cost and fast to walk to if you don't find a spot on Moody St near the café. The only con is the price of the pastries but they are so pretty (and tasty) you can forgive the price a little bit. I really enjoy going when I can and there's one barista, Melissa (not sure if I'm spelling her name correctly), that I am always excited to see as she makes delicious drinks and is really nice! read more

Let's talk about their drinks first which we all thought was pretty good. We liked the coffee drinks the most. We would definitely order the drinks again. The sandwiches were a bit underwhelming. They aren't bad but they weren't anything special. The quantity was really not as I expected. The tuna salad was only a smudge onto the bread. As we all know tuna salad usually is not a spread. :) The other sandwiches were fine but nothing spending 15 minutes at home couldn't make. We spent 30 minutes waiting for it and that was after ordering online. The last thing was the cake which we had high hope for. They were really not good. Maybe we came on a bad day and it wasn't fresh. I tasted a refrigerator taste in the cream which was mostly what comprised of the cake slice. There was one extremely thin layer of cake and the rest was cream thus there was no difference buying the guava or yuzu cuz u can't taste any of it. You only taste cream. Would I go again? Yes but just for the drinks. Definitely not for anything else. read more

They offer coffee, espresso, lattes, teas, refreshers, smoothies, small desserts, pastries, macarons, crepes, and bagel sandwiches. The pricing is slightly high. The place is bright, order at the counter and there is limited seating inside. I stopped by Caffe Ollo recently for a pastry. I got lucky and found parking in front of the shop. I got the Caramel Apple Pie ($4.50 plus tax) to go. This firm pastry was filled with sweet apple filling and pretty enjoyable with my hot black coffee I had in a travel mug. I would stop in again for dessert before dinner, since they close early most days. read more

Cafe Ollo only opened a month ago so it's brand new and the coffee is truly some of the best coffee I've ever had. My latte was so creamy and delicious and my blueberry danish was to die for. They have so many amazing things to try that I will absolutely be back! The classical music was perfect for studying. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, exactly what I needed. What a joke! It took at least 15 mins to prepare my avocado toast, and when I got it, it was nothing like it was pictured on the menu. There were no spices or Hokkaido cream (whatever that is) as described, eggs were overcooked and not runny as pictured, and it came as a sandwich rather than open faced with greens on the side. I took it back to the counter and showed them the website photo and description. The person seemed to care less, and said photos can be different on the website. I asked for a refund as I hadn't even touched it and didn't plan to. He said he'd have to get in touch with someone to see if a refund was possible, and that I might have to wait 5-10 minutes for a response. I didn't want to stay any longer and I left my phone number for them to contact me. It's been over an hour and I haven't heard anything. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. This is a sorry excuse for a business. Do yourself a favor and skip it! I left and went to Tatte instead. read more

Great little cafe, clean, and cute. The coffees were delicious (Vienna pistachio latte and iced dirty chai), and the incredible bagel sandwich was also very yummy. The bagel isn't the best you'll find - a little tough - but the avocado and bacon made up for it. My partner ordered a ham, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, which is not a standard menu item but which they said could be done but unfortunately his order was made incorrectly twice (the first with bacon, the second missing the egg). They were polite and remade the sandwich for him but it was a bummer to have to correct them, especially more than once. Even with the hiccup, we'll definitely be back again to try more items. read more

Adorable coffee shop on Moody Street with a tranquil and relaxed vibe, at least it was at the time I was there, kinda mid afternoon. I'm sure it gets busy at other peak times. The menu has the usual coffee selections, but also some unique kinds of coffee & tea, as well as smoothies. There's an wide array of different kinds of pastries and also a large selection of mousse type cakes Didn't try but they all looked amazing. Service was exceptional and that's something I rarely say. The avocado toast was really delicious and actually, the order was modified, with no issue, with egg white instead of egg. You can tell that the owner really cares about serving quality food and quality drinks. I'd say that even though it's a coffee shop, it's a little more than that as you can tell that everything is served with thought and a refined flair. Caffe Ollo would be my first choice if I find myself on Moody St again. If you're looking for something a little different to the regular coffee shops around and want to immerse yourself in peaceful, gentle space, head to Caffe Ollo. read more
