    Belgium Waffle with Whip Cream
    Michelle M.

This place tricks you a bit. As someone mentioned in a previous review there are no prices listed on the menu. So, I took a chance anyway and ordered a Belgium waffle. The lady asked me what I wanted on it, and when I asked what it comes with she said well fruit or whip cream, but they cost extra. I was confused as the menu lists the waffle in different forms that included things..."belgium waffle with whip cream", "belgium waffle with nutella". When I showed her the menu and these different forms, she said it's extra. So I told her I didn't need anything if it was extra. She said oh...I could give you whip cream. So I thought she was being nice and wasn't going to up-charge for it. When I looked at the screen in front of me it read "whip cream: $0.50". When I said, "oh, am I being charged for it?" she didn't really answer. I didn't make a stink cuz it's $0.50 but yikes? The principal... Anyway the waffle was ok..a little undercooked in the middle and kinda small. The latte was ok too. I got a pumpkin spice in honor of fall being around the corner and to be honest I've had better tasting pumpkin lattes. Wouldn't rush back here but if I was in the area, I'd give it another shot.

    Smoked salmon Savory Crepe
    Maryam M.

Cute local cafe in Belmont. The crepes were perfectly thin and flavorful. My friend and I ordered the smoked salmon crepe with ricotta and capers. We also got cappuccino and hot tea- both were incredible. Overall great portion size for the price and perfectly fresh food. Service was a little slow which may be due to covid or the fact that there was only one person behind the counter when we went. Even though there was only one person prepping and serving, the food was exquisite and made with care! Would love to go back and try other things from the menu. Wish they offered delivery....

"Medium hot coffee with light cream"
    Shannon M.

Popped in very quick for a coffee. Ordered a medium Hot coffee with light cream and not at all what I was given. I'm not sure if it's coffee with steamed milk or just a straight up latte ? But either way it's 90% cream and I can't taste any coffee. Kind of a huge bummer, but the gentleman working behind the counter was so nice. I'll probably give it one more try in the future. Pastries looked delicious as I walked by. Definitely want to try and support this local business ! Perhaps, I need to order a hot coffee in a different way or perhaps there is no "regular" hot coffee at this caffe ? Who knows !

My crepe and coffee were good but no refill. I did not know Jimmy Carter ate crepes. Loved the town history on the wall. Nice calm Sunday morning meal.

Nice coffee shop in the heart of Belmont. Selection of avocado toast, crepes and pastries, so good for breakfast. Loving the rock music in the background - at first it felt awkward in the little cozy space, but it is upbeat and not loud at all. We'll be back ...

Food is ok and pricey. Cost of a regular coffee is higher than any other place around and definitely not worth it. limited seating.

The donut and banana bread were also very tasty but I didn't get to eat enough of them to feel as strongly about them as I do the strawberry tea cake. For food we ordered the eggplant sando and the chicken piccata sandwich. While both tasted good, I was surprised at how much more I enjoyed the eggplant one. The eggplant was breaded well and crispy without feeling too heavy on oil. The rest of the sandwich with arugula and roasted red peppers also felt fresh. The chicken sandwich was also good with thin layers of chicken, and flavored well. However I liked the chicken where as for eggplant I felt the sandwich as a whole worked well. While busy, it still feels like enough movement of groups that you can easily find a seat. The staff is also very friendly making it a neighborhood spot I would definitely come back to.

The bacon was crispy, broccoli roasted with seasoning, a perfectly cooked over medium egg all on a brioche bun. There was also spicy goat cheese spread on the slider, however there wasn't a lot there to taste it with every bite and it certainly wasn't spicy. I would have loved more of it, because the bites that did get some were absolutely delicious in enhancing flavor with the egg. The sandwich itself is larger than expected, bigger than a typical slider which was a pleasant surprise. I also ordered an incredible Apple Cheddar biscuit on the side. It was freshly made, buttery, and had little apple chunks in it. Great experience and I highly recommend visiting if you're looking for quick and convenient breakfast, with a great quality and fair price!

This was all said in a loud, actorly voice so that everyone in the shop could know that He Was Displeased. Note, the "contamination" consisted of the woman a) holding the cup of hot chocolate and, b) walking to her table with it. On a previous occasion, he yelled at an older woman in her 90s because she needed to sit down on a chair while he was sweeping. He snidely told her that she should go outside if she needed to sit. Her confusion about the seating was understandable, because for some unknown reason the cafe needs to close a full hour before the bookshop (and they begin this process earlier even than that, by "helpfully" putting away the chairs and turning off the lights). I guess they sell some croissants and coffee, but honestly: who cares, given the above?

Even tucked away at the end of a strip mall, it checks all the boxes: great beer, good food, plenty of space, and a fun atmosphere. The food comes from a little food truck outside the building rather than a traditional kitchen, but don't let that fool you, everything I've had has been delicious. My boyfriend is a loyal fan of the Cloud Candy IPA (he'll order it anywhere he sees it on tap), while I can never resist the Daiquiri Hard Smoothie (I forget what it's called, but it's so tasty lol). It's dangerously good... like, "I should probably pace myself, but that's a tomorrow problem" good. The brewery itself has a lot going on. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a coffee shop tucked in the back, a private event room, and even a rock-climbing gym connected to the building, which makes for a pretty unique setup. If you're lucky, you'll even catch the canning line running while you're there, which is fun to watch and reminds you you're drinking the good stuff straight from the source. Whether you're meeting friends for a beer, hanging out for the afternoon, or introducing someone to craft beer, Mighty Squirrel is a solid choice. I'll definitely keep coming back!
