It's a cute cafe with nice outdoor seating and the food is good, but the service isn't great. I felt super rushed when ordering despite being the only person in line the morning I was there. The girl who took my order didn't really give us a chance to look at the menu, stared, and rushed me when I was speaking which threw me off a bit. They also serve you through a window (looks like a makeshift drive-thru, or "walk-thru") which is cool, but I noticed the same girl was getting easily annoyed when customers weren't quick to receive their order. She also made my coffee in a unique way which really surprised me. They have a giant jug of iced coffee that they keep in the bottom cabinet, instead of having drip or brew. The coffee itself was pretty decent, though. My ham and cheese crepe was okay but there was not enough ham or cheese, it was mostly just egg. My friend's portion was also small but the food was good. I think I would give it another shot. read more

The Bellmont Caffe is like the "Cheers" of cafe's, the owner never forgets your name and you're always glad you came! The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is excellent and the prices are extremely fair. The Chai Latte is brewed on the premises and is the best I've ever had. They offer many options for avocado toast, all of which are delicious. This place tricks you a bit. As someone mentioned in a previous review there are no prices listed on the menu. So, I took a chance anyway and ordered a Belgium waffle. The lady asked me what I wanted on it, and when I asked what it comes with she said well fruit or whip cream, but they cost extra. I was confused as the menu lists the waffle in different forms that included things..."belgium waffle with whip cream", "belgium waffle with nutella". When I showed her the menu and these different forms, she said it's extra. So I told her I didn't need anything if it was extra. She said oh...I could give you whip cream. So I thought she was being nice and wasn't going to up-charge for it. When I looked at the screen in front of me it read "whip cream: $0.50". When I said, "oh, am I being charged for it?" she didn't really answer. I didn't make a stink cuz it's $0.50 but yikes? The principal... Anyway the waffle was ok..a little undercooked in the middle and kinda small. The latte was ok too. I got a pumpkin spice in honor of fall being around the corner and to be honest I've had better tasting pumpkin lattes. Wouldn't rush back here but if I was in the area, I'd give it another shot. read more

Cute local cafe in Belmont. The crepes were perfectly thin and flavorful. My friend and I ordered the smoked salmon crepe with ricotta and capers. We also got cappuccino and hot tea- both were incredible. Overall great portion size for the price and perfectly fresh food. Service was a little slow which may be due to covid or the fact that there was only one person behind the counter when we went. Even though there was only one person prepping and serving, the food was exquisite and made with care! Would love to go back and try other things from the menu. THERE ARE NO PRICES LISTED ANYWHERE AT THIS RESTAURANT. Not on the website. Not on the menu. I found this bizarre. Do the prices change that frequently? I doubt I'm the only person who wants to know how much things cost before going to a business. That was enough to turn me off, and I wouldn't have bothered going at all except my friend wanted to meet here. I ordered: Veggie omelette = $9.99 Latte = $4.99 Food was fine. As someone who works in the industry, I am perhaps more of a stickler for small details than the average yelper. Serving a drink in a cracked glass? Definite industry no-no. Popped in very quick for a coffee. Ordered a medium Hot coffee with light cream and not at all what I was given. I'm not sure if it's coffee with steamed milk or just a straight up latte ? But either way it's 90% cream and I can't taste any coffee. Kind of a huge bummer, but the gentleman working behind the counter was so nice. I'll probably give it one more try in the future. Pastries looked delicious as I walked by. Definitely want to try and support this local business ! I hate to write bad reviews but this place could be so cool, there is a fantastic outdoor patio and it is right in Belmont Center! But wow, first off, weird, frankly awful, pop music blaring outside. Who would want to listen to such bad music while they are eating lunch, what owner would think this is a good idea? Second, the food, the "crepe" was a wrap for like sandwich not a crepe and utterly tasteless, but the worst, the "waffle" was some odd, I think it must have been frozen, thing that was chewy and doughy, just plain weird...the server had no idea what a red eye was and, as people noted, NO PRICES, the server even had no idea what things cost...for a small lunch some juice a coffee and 15% tip $57...yeesh. I don't understand how this place can survive, the place right across the street was much more crowded than this place, in hindsight a clear hint. read more

I visited Bellmont Cafe yesterday, with a friend and ordered the avocado and turkey panini; however after, I realized it did not contain any avocado; think the wait staff was not fully attentive in the panini presentation and only one paper thin slice of turkey in the sandwich!!!! . I have been there many times before and never an issue except for the pricing and panini was not as described; no pricing on the menus is a huge deterrent. Our bill for salad and dry panini with coffee was $30.00+ which was a surprise for our light lunch. Not sure if I will return as staff was a bit "off the mark" and no pricing on menus is not acceptable. read more

Summary: The owner is doing a nice job of offering coffees and teas and enhancing the menu with middle eastern options. Furthermore the outdoor seating is cozy. I've had their ice teas - eg Moroccan mint ice tea - which are yummy. They also have a hot apple cinnamon drink there now which can hit the spot on cool days. Today I had their falafel wrap (falafel hand made but not on location) which was very tasty. They grill the wrap which I like. I plan to go back to have more. I also want to ask the owner to be my World Cup hub when it comes around again. Seems the perfect place. read more

It was a nice sunny day and the place offers a nice patio with cute tables. I was welcomed by a nice and smiling young lady who offered me the menu where I found a couple of vegetarian items for my lunch. What really ruined my visit was the way the manager ordered and yelled at the same young woman who took my order. She was tasked to sweep the floor and he was sitting at one of the table with his phone chatting with a woman. He barked at her that she was doing it the "lazy" way and wanted her to move chairs. I looked down at the floor and it looked pretty clean to me with maybe a few spots to sweep. Clearly there was a better when than being so abusive. As a manager myself I treat my team with respect and my feedback when work needs improvement is constructive. Yelling and criticism is the worst approach to get the best of people. It can only go down from there. You show by example and you praise people for the good work while calling on what needs to get better. Also humiliating people in public is very counter productive. Looking further into the matter I hear that this manager has a habit to yell at his staff. I ordered a vegetarian shawarma wrap which was nicely grilled but not with as much hummus as I was hoping for. A bit salty too which called for a lot of drinking water later. I must have waited about 15 minutes which was ok because I was not in a rush. I noticed a help wanted post and my guess in the place in understaffed like many. FOOD Pleasant St Panini: 4/5 The chicken and pesto were fresh and the bread was toasted to perfection. I didn't really enjoy the brie inside though - found it a little overpowering for the sandwich. Cuban Reuben: 5/5 This was amazing! I generally don't like reubens, but this was really special. Best Reuben I've had! It was just the right amount of salty and sour, and I really appreciated that the bread was toasted. AMBIENCE: 4/5 Limited seating, so good for meeting a friend or a small group (max 4 people). I really like the tables outside - especially since they've got huge umbrellas to block the sun. A bit difficult to understand the menus, but they have print out ones to read which are better. Came here on a whim and loved it! The food was incredible, fairly priced, and a portion that wouldn't leave you stuffed. The food has a decidedly European flair to it with crepes, artisan waffles, and sandwiches. For breakfast, I can't recommend the crepes enough. Full of flavor and fresh fruits, especially delightful when you add in the Nutella.... Only downside is the size. The cafe can probably only sit 15-20 people though their outside space easily doubles that amount. A hidden gem for those with celiac disease. Extreme care was taken to make sure that my breakfast sandwich was prepared without any cross contamination and they were even kind enough to explain to me exactly how they were going to take precautions. I'm extremely sensitive and did not get sick at all, plus it was delicious :) They were incredibly kind and the atmosphere was so peaceful. I was also there on a day when it rained and the small indoor cafe area was completely full with no customers wearing masks. I was so happy to take my mother out to lunch, in Belmont Center. I've been to all the local restaurants, in town, and never got to try your establishment, until yesterday. We were so excited to order the jimmy carter crepes, a cross street sandwich to go, for my husband, and an iced coffee, and blueberry muffin. The employee was really amazing and kind. We placed our order and took an inside table. Our lunch was served to us. The crepes were so dry and shall I say empty with ingredients. We were so disappointed. I didn't even know if there was any ricotta. We didn't say a word as the cook was extremely busy and I wonder if the employee was trained correctly in making these crepes. The iced coffee was very good. The blueberry muffin was fine. My husband couldn't believe the bland taste and lack of ingredients in his panini. He added to it with what we had at home to create what a sandwich should taste like. I cannot fault the employees. They were doing what they were trained to do. I spent $42. My FAVORITE place to have a peaceful and delicious breakfast. Beautiful outdoor patio, freshly prepared eggs on buttery croissants, and a charming owner who is incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and funny. I'm disappointed to see people saying that they support small businesses but that Starbucks never has time limits or limits wifi. After an incredibly challenging year, of course small businesses need customer turnover to make up for lost business during covid. If you support small business, that includes recognizing that they need some understanding during this time. Telling all your friends that you were kicked out is the opposite of supporting small business when they need our dollars and well wishes the most! read more
