    Steak Bomb Spring Rolls

Service was sketchy -- waitress took order, but didn't check in -- twice we had to ask another server to get our waitress. Extensive menu - breakfast and lunch/dinner options. We opted for lunch fare. The Mediterranean grain bowl didn't look like much food when served, but it was surprisingly filling. The skillet cornbread and steak rolls were very good.

Another great meal here. Friendly and attentive servers. We shared some cornbread (the best!)- she had a salad with grilled chicken and I had grilled cheese with tomato soup. Everything was fantastic. So many great menu options.

Place was pretty empty at 2:00 pm so was worried but was great...Nina greeted us and was awesome. We got 3 apps and they were all great. The place is well decorated. My wife loved the clams had lobster bisque broth and bread was very good. Would absolutely return.

I thought I would give them another try because I did not have the best experience during my first visit. Sadly, the service is just as inconsistent and poor as what most people have described as well as as what I experienced during my first visit. Again, the food was good with a lot of creative touches. I had requested two additional proteins, including duck, and Salmon and specifically requested that it would be just seared while being very rare. Unfortunately, as you can tell from the photo, it was cooked medium, which tends to make salmon dry. Fortunately, they replaced it, and it was much better. My issue is the server who attended to us just seemed very disorganized and truly did not seem to enjoy what she was doing. She almost seemed reluctant to even talk to people. We waited for a while for her to even come around and had to flag her down. She would tend to walk by and look the other way just as she was passing her tables. We eventually found another server who would get her attention. She never came by to refill our waters until we requested it. Another server eventually gave us a large bottle of water which I think was protocol. The server who eventually replaced her was much much better and seemed much more professional. However, our original server eventually came back and just seemed very apathetic. Needless to stay, we did not tip her at all. Not sure how they can stay in business with such poor and inconsistent service. I don't care how good the food is when service is lacking.

    Nachos

Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Food was decent but depended on what you got. I really enjoyed the potato gnocchi with truffle parm sauce, the nachos were above average from what I expected from restaurant nachos, and my pork belly tacos were very delicious, despite my hesitation of watermelon in a taco. However, my friends' who'd ordered beef had both of their dishes overcooked from how they'd asked them to be prepared (the medium rare was close to medium/medium well, while the medium well was just well done). The service was a tad slow, we had a reservation and they still took a bit to get us seated. Our server took a while to get to us and wasn't able to read her own handwriting, so she had to come back and ask what we ordered again. In their defense, there was a massive party being served inside, and I'm glad she asked us over getting our food wrong, but the restaurant was otherwise empty. Ambiance inside was very nice, the bar was long and had plenty of seating. We sat outdoors because of the nice weather and they were just plastic picnic benches but it was clean and comfortable. Overall good experience, nothing notable but I enjoyed my food and I would go back.

    Strawberry Orange Berry Nojito
    Cindy L.

Cute place. The servers were extremely friendly and the food was enjoyable! I absolutely love the respective menus for mocktails and eggs Benedict, the two things I get most excited to see on a menu. The Strawberry Orange Berry Nojito was nice and light. I wanted something flavorful but wasn't in the mood for ham so the variety of options for eggs Benedict were exciting. I chose the eggs Benedict with pulled pork. A good decision! It was an adjustment to have pulled pork without the moisture and flavor from the BBQ sauce that it is typically prepare with, but who knew eggs went well with pulled pork? I thought it was an interesting take on a favorite. I am extremely picky about hollandaise and this one was not bad but not outstanding. What I hate most is when hollandaise has an overwhelming amount of lemon in it and this one did not commit that crime. Just a little bit bland but not egregious. The potatoes were very well seasoned. The croissant French toast was great, texturally balanced. Nothing I hate more than a soggy French toast and this one had no sogginess. I only wished for some fruit or whipped cream personally. Pros: creative and fresh menu options, friendly staff Cons: lacking intensity in the flavor department (only slightly!)

We came here with little kids and the crew accommodated our needs very well. The food was very good. Combined with decent drinks and a good vibe, it made for a great evening. A good hangout spot if you're in the neighborhood. They also have a dedicated vegetarian and vegan menu, which worked out well for folks in our crew.

    Tuna Poke Bowl

Excellent Tuna Poke Bowl $22.00. Fresh tuna with a refreshing citrus flavor profile. Seaweed was also very good but the star is the crispy/sticky rice cake underneath. I would definitely order again. I might ask for a little sesame oil to drizzle over the top.

    Sparkling Pom Kiss Cocktail
    Michelle M.

What a great place on Moody Street! We made reservations for NYE and I'm glad we did. They had specials for New Years, so I decided to get one of the cocktails, and it was good! Would recommend the Sparkling Pom Kiss. I then ordered the steak tacos. They were so fresh and tasty. I loved the sauce and all of the flavors. It was paired with a handful of chips and a salsa. This salsa was incredible! Again, very fresh. The ingredients they use seem to be top notch. My friend got the caesar salad (half portion) and the steak bomb spring rolls. She said they were both great as well! The ambiance in here was also so nice. They have candles on every table, and the decor takes you out of Waltham for a minute into an upper-scale New York feeling restaurant. The vibes here are top notch. Although the food was delicious, only downside was I was expected the portions to be a little bigger for the tacos, served with rice or something. The chips were great but I left a little hungry. Not sure if the tacos are supposed to be ordered as an appetizer, so If I come back I would definitely order off the entree section! Now I want to review their NYE party. We ended up coming back later in the evening for their NYE party. There was a DJ and lights...btw the DJ was awesome and played all the right music! They also gave out free champagne to toast with at midnight, and had catered Chinese food for everyone! Wow. Not many places do this anymore, so it goes to show the owners really care and want everyone to have a good time. Respect to them, and a thank you. All in all good experience and good vibes.

The service was a little spotty due to lack of staff. We had a group of 7 and ordered an initial batch of small plates to share across the table: empanadas, chickpeas, yuca fries, octopus, and fried squash blossoms. We had some dietary restrictions in the group so it was important to know what each dish was so that person could avoid some of the small plates. We couldn't figure out what the squash blossoms or octopus dishes were until someone tasted them. Each small plates has enough to serve 2-3 people - so if you have a large group like us, then you need to order at least 2 of every small plate to share across the table. The empanada was simply a small chicken empanada and the taco was some sort of braised pork in a thin tostone instead of a corn tortilla. Both were nice looking, but just standard fare. For me the fried squash blossoms were the best - after we figured out what they were. The service was spotty. After ordering the first round of small plates, it took a long time for the waiter to come back so we could order more. They also use food servers that can only deliver food to your table - the servers can't really explain the dishes or take orders for more small plates. For that - you need to wait for your waiter to make it back to your table. For 7 people, with a round of drinks at the table, shared desserts, and an automatic 20% tip for large parties (which is fine - I would have given them 20% anyway), the bill came out to be $560. They were very nice about splitting the bill 7-ways so each person could provide a credit card. The parking was easy with a big municipal lot behind the restaurant. My overall opinion is that it's a nice atmosphere, but the food under-achieved and the service could have been better.
