Classic greasy spoon diner with Turkish twist. It's a bit pricier but they make everything fresh and are consistent about it. Fast friendly service, can't really go wrong. I recommend the Challah French toast.

Ate here after a very early morning of traveling to Boston from the Midwest, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The food was cooked perfectly and in a timely manner and was delicious. The restaurant vibe was chill and comfortable for a rainy Sunday morning.

Shredded Philly Steak Plate. Flavor free!!

Maybe this place is great for breakfast? I had business in Waltham, and Leo's had pretty good reviews. Not crowded at 11:30. But the whole street was kind of dead. The place had a sour smell, and I almost left, but the reviews were good so I stayed. The place is charming, but it's old and could use a deep cleaning. Waiter (Owner? Manager?) was good enough. Several lunch sandwich options. I really wanted something hot, so I got the shredded Philly steak sandwich. Nota bene: this is not a cheesesteak, as the word "cheese" is not mentioned, nor is it present on the sandwich. There's also a note that onions, peppers, and something else are available for *$.75* *each*. I didn't do extras - should have. Maybe should have asked about the mysterious lack-of-cheese-ness for what is clearly labeled "Philly". All this because...there was absolutely no flavor. Zero. It's like I ordered the Flavor-Free special. So bummed. Fries were fresh and crispy. A salad I did not want nor eat. Again, maybe it's great for breakfast. I hope so.

Little Dog 222, duduk pancakes, omelette w/spinach, mushroom, & swiss

An old-fashioned diner in Waltham that serves up classic breakfast and brunch foods. We ordered online and pick up and easy, but came in an extremely large bag. I engineered my own omelette with mushrooms, swiss, bacon, and spinach with toast and home fries as well as the duduk pancakes. The omelette was quite flat but did come with a lot of spinach. I was hoping it to be more fluffy, but it lacked the texture. I definitely agree that the home fries are very bland and you definitely need to spice it up with some salt and pepper. On the bright side, the toast was already buttered, which was a nice surprise. The duduk pancakes were the best out of what I ordered. The apricots gave the pancakes a different chewy texture, while the pistachios added a bit of crunch. Overall, this brunch was filling, but not the most satisfying to eat.

This place was amazing. Great staff and the food was simply amazing. The waitress talked me through the menu and gave me her recommendations. I went with the French toast platter and it did not disappoint. I recommend arriving early as the seats do fill up quick.

Great food, great menu options and great ambience. I loved the coffee too, it was my type.

This is a very busy place. It is small but seems to attract a lot of patrons. There is a counter area with about 10 stools and about 12 tables. Service is quick. I sat at the counter and was able to watch the food show. The cook is hunched over his grill as he quickly moves side to side finishing his orders: eggs, omelets, delightful copy's potatoes. His brother preps the orders: chips veggies, tears up cheese, makes toast, fruit cups, and their several helpers deliver and take orders and fill in wherever needed to make the customers happy. First off, the fruit cup: blueberries, kiwi, dragon fruit, fresh figs, cantaloupe, cherries, grapes, pomegranate seeds, grapes, pears, apples, mango, grapefruit, orange, and strawberries. All fresh fruits of summer! Delicious and artfully arranged so as to both a treat for the eye and the palate. The potatoes were exquisite - tender, browned and just crispy enough. I had 2 scrambled eggs with 3 delicious link sausages. The toast? Well, the bread is not a great quality, but it was not the focus of my meal either. My reason for not giving 5 Stars? As I watched the prep man handle many tasks, I noticed that he was handling money and other items and went directly back to handling the food without washing his hands. This cannot be good. He is doing so many tasks that I'm sure it must be difficult to keep the sanitation process in mind. According to one of the news articles in the window, this was a favorite of Matt Damon when the restaurant was in Cambridge. If I lived here, I'd probably be a regular too. This is my second day here. Unfortunately, I leave tomorrow. But this was a memorable place.

This place is cozy. The service was great the owner of this place is a nice man. He spoke to us and told us a story about the band that photo he has on the wall. The food tasted good. I like how everything on the menu has its unique name. I love when people put the effort into what they are doing. I ordered Shroomister Omelet and Romeo & Juliet French Toast. Everything was delicious.

They have a decent menu with various options and I was torn between the baked haddock or the flat bread. The bartender recommended the haddock and I'm glad I chose that. Everything from the rice, veggies and the fish were cooked perfectly. Fish was soft yet cooked and the ritz cracker crumble gave a nice texture to the fish. The veggies had a great texture and the rice I was amazed at the flavor. Got the Sweet Potato ample cheesecake for dessert and well let's just say that plate was clean! I found the top layer a tad sweet so half way scooped that off to eat the cake and cheesecake part. lol The service was also lovely as the bartender was friendly, attentive and made me laugh. Cazuela de Coliflor Asada (9/10): Insanely good dish. The cauliflower has perfect texture, complemented by the pistachios. The sauce is SO good. The cauliflower soaks it up so well. Chicharrones (9/10): Melt in your mouth pork belly. The pork skin crust was perfect. The sauces really make most of the dishes here. This dish is no different - I loved the sauce. Ropa Vieja (9/10): Perfectly slow cooked meat. One thing that really stood out to me was actually the white rice. The rice was VERY high quality, and I appreciated it so much. It's rare to come by rice this good. It had the perfect texture, chew, and fragrance. Ropa Vieja de Hongos (9/10): Pretty much the same as Ropa Vieja above. The mushrooms are delicious, and the dish is just as good whether your order the mushroom or steak version. Empanada del Carne (9/10): Oh man, the crusts are so good. I've been here for both of my sisters' graduation brunches, and we always leave happy. It's become one of our favorite spots for a celebratory brunch. For drinks, I tried their new Vanilla Bean Matcha Latte with oat milk. It was a bit thicker than I expected--possibly because of the oat milk. I can definitely see some people loving that texture, but for me it was just okay. That said, it was still a good drink, and the hint of vanilla came through nicely without overpowering the matcha. For food, we ordered a variety of dishes for the table. 1. The chicken and waffles had so much flavor, and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly--not too runny, but still soft, gooey, and delicious. The chicken was a little soggy, but it made up for it by being incredibly tender. 2. The blueberry pancake was fantastic. Their pancake portions are huge, so this time we only ordered one to share. It was delicious, though definitely on the heavier side. 3. The house burger was easily the standout dish of the meal and might be my favorite item on the menu. It's simple and classic, but packed with flavor. 4. The chicken burger, on the other hand, was disappointing. The chicken was quite dry, and I probably wouldn't order it again. I think something like pickled onions or another acidic topping could help bring some balance and moisture to the sandwich. 5. We also tried the omelet, which was very good, especially with the goat cheese. What really made the experience special was that the staff noticed we were celebrating a graduation and surprised us with complimentary donuts. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely way to end the meal.

Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I ordered an Old-Fashioned and my companion a glass of chardonnay, both of which came promptly and were enjoyable. After some inquiries I settled on the self-advertised fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs. My companion asked about a favorite no longer on the menu, a salad with grilled chicken, and after checking with the kitchen our server was happy to report it could be ordered. My companion asked for dressing on the side and unfortunatel the salad came out dressed. Our server was happy to return it to the kitchen and it came out after not too much time had elapsed, the way she'd ordered it. I'm always skeptical that ribs will be fall-off-the-bone but these were close. Unfortunately, they seemed a little off; I still can't decide if they were on the dry side, lacking in flavor, or both. But the meat did come off the bone easily, so there was that. They came with french fries which were good, The location is handy and there is on-site parking. The atmosphere was energetic and it must be a popular after-work place because there were several large (10+) tables occupied. Still, not sure I would go back soon when there are other comparable places in the area.
