Great neighborhood with tons of options for food. AMT had great service and their food was delicious. Not gonna lie, their fresh chips and salsa are some of the best I've had in a while.

Tacos! Tacos! Tacos! My friend recommended this place for its delicious food and he was right! I have been wanting to try this place ever since my friend mentioned it and we finally had dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant has a great bar and decor. We sat inside but they have plenty of outdoor patio seating. We started with drinks and they had a few margaritas to choose from. I finally decided on their spicy jalapeno margarita and to my surprise it was nice and spicy and very good. We decided to share a couple of appetizers and got the Mexican street corn or elote and the octopus. For my main dish I decided on a cochinito pibil taco (Mexican pulled pork taco) and an Al pastor taco. The elote and octopus were very good but the star of the show was the cochinito taco! It's flavor was on point that it literally transported me back to California, my hometown! I was very pleased with the taco! It really hit the spot. I will definitely be back for more delicious margaritas and tacos!

    What else? An original margarita.

Looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food in a pleasant environment? This is your place, located at the top of Moody Street in Waltham. Parking is a little tricky but there are several municipal lots within a couple of blocks. I went with two friends, one of whom uses a cane, so I was worried about mobility around what looked to be a small space from the online pictures, but it is not so small and at 12:30 on a January Saturday we were some of the first to arrive (although the place was bustling at 2:30 when we left). Okay, enough with the logistics, let's talk about the FOOD. Outstanding. Two of us had the tasty original margaritas with plenty of salt (sorry, blood pressure). One diner started with the sopa de tortilla, followed with the enchiladas which looked fantastic. My other companion and I had the lunch special of quesadillas with chicken, which were outstanding. All the meals came with a choice of Mexican or lime rice, and black or refried beans. I had the Mexican rice and black beans which were plentiful if a little bland--needed a little salt or spice or something. Oh, and did I mention the homemade guacamole and salsa served with chips? We had to shut ourselves off at one point for fear of not having enough room for the meal itself. And if all of that wasn't enough, were we able to resist the offer of flan for dessert? That would be "no." Delicious. All in all we very pleased with our first visit to this entry into the storied Moody Street restaurant scene. It will not be our last!

    Carne asada taco!

I live nearby but finally came for my birthday dinner recently and had a great time, deciding to order a number of dishes I've never had before. The pork belly guacamole was excellent as an appetizer, and the tacos too. I should mention that the barbacoa was pretty spicy, which isn't always the case in my other experiences. Chicken tinga taco was really nice also, with a big slice of avocado in there. We got these as part of a taco combo order which is definitely worth it. I also had to separately get the carne asada taco (which includes avocado mousse on it, red morita sauce, and golden brown cheese) which was probably my favorite, the meat having a really nice sear/roast to it. I had the house margarita which was also very good. The service was great. Highly recommended, especially in a group!

Tonight was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. We started with the three mini tamales plate. The mole sauce on the chicken tamale was outstanding and even better was the tomatillo sauce on the pork tamale. We also had the brussels sprouts with pork belly and the fried plantains. We enjoyed them both. Last we got two tacos to share. You should always be able to order a single taco. The first was the pork which was generously filled. The second was something I had never seen before. They took a jalapeño and stuffed it with shrimp. It was wild, but so so good. I highly recommend getting that. Maybe get three. The service was friendly and the space is nice. It is a small dining room but they do take reservations and you can eat outside in nice weather (it was raining today). Bottom line: we'll worth a visit.

Had a very enjoyable dinner on their back patio. It was lit up and had a great summertime casual ambiance. Waitress was very friendly. All of us in the party had tacos - I had the pulpo, al pastor, and cochinitas (roasted pork). All very good but I liked the pulpo one the best but probably because it included pork belly inside too! Delicious and authentic. We also liked the guacamole a lot. I also enjoyed the blueberry mint lemonade. One of my friends ordered the ceviche - note it is a Mexican take on ceviche and so a little different than anyone who is more accustomed to Peruvian style. I had called in advance and learned that there are only 2 spots for their restaurant in their back parking lot (which otherwise seems spacious). So the best place to park is in the Chestnut St lot which was free after 6pm on the weekday I visited. Would definitely come again!

    Tacos, pina colada, plantains

6 tacos, fried plantains, and a pina colada will always make me happy! They were all extremely flavorful and unique! (Not pictured are the homemade chips and salsa that were gone before the camera could be taken out) this spot is in a great area to walk around in and is definitely worth a try!

    Is this place kid friendly?

Brought my 5 year old and it is fine (we dine out frequently). No kid menu so make sure to check it online if there is anything they will like. We usually go the taco route and of course chips and salsa. He really likes the empanadas as well. Also… Read more

We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by the host as well as Caroline, our bartender. She made us two perfect martini's to the rim, and brought us out a complimentary dish from the chef which was fantastic (I think it was fried chickpea flour in the shape of a very thick fry. They also brought us out complimentary bread and focaccia as well as home made pesto. We ordered the meatballs (the best I've ever had, and my wife is Sicilian). We then shared the Chicken Parm which had the most amazing chunky sauce packed with flavor along with homemade rigatoni! This by far was one of the best meals I've had in a while! Waltham has space to breathe, cocktails mixed with genuine craft and creativity, prices that acknowledge you are a human being with a budget, and an atmosphere where "intimate dinner" does not require a hearing aid afterward. And the food? Let me be absolutely clear: every bit as spectacular as the original. The chicken parmigiana arrives with a shatteringly crisp exterior giving way to tender, juicy perfection beneath a blanket of molten cheese. The rosemary chicken practically perfumes the table before it lands, herb-kissed and golden, the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes on the first bite. The bolognese is a masterclass in patience and tradition, rich and meaty and clinging to each strand of pasta like it was born there. Same kitchen excellence, superior everything else. I must speak of Gina, because to write this review without her name in lights would be a crime against gratitude. For my family, I ordered the sambar vada (gluten free lentil fritters), palak paneer (spinach and paneer cheese), Kerala fish pollichatthu. The fritters were a hit with the little one and came with a tangy sauce (sambar). The palak paneer was a very good version of this classic dish. The Kerala fish entree was my "why not" dish, mostly chosen since I know some folks from Kerala. They weren't around to give me the heads up that it would be a whole small fish cooked in banana leaves, though. I was a little surprised, but it was rather tasty, even if there amount of meat was a bit limited.
