parking is street. dining area is 3 tables and a high bar that seats 3-4. just go here, it's like someone's mom is cooking for you and she's not willing to compromise on quality to feed her kids or their friends. i stopped in for takeout lunch. ordered one of each of the different types of pupusas. holy cow they are fresh. like i said, it's as if i went over to a friend's place and their mom just made them fresh. got a sopes, the shell is crunchy, the toppings are well balanced. quesadilla was simple, but tasty. it's the freshness of all the ingredients burrito was the best i've had in a while, probably the best i've had in waltham... yes, this includes the popular taquerias in town. the rice was flavorful, moist, fresh. the meat was tender as they come. again, it's simple, but the fresh ingredients take it to the next level. i'll be back.

An authentic restaurant that is clearly well liked by the local community. About 12 seats inside, counter service and a welcoming vibe. Clean, cute and fantastic burrito and pupusas. We definitely over ate! Everything was so good. The homemade salsa was amazing. Place had a constant flow of people. Never an open table or seat for very long. Street parking and it was pretty tough to get a space but worth the effort.

Could eat like 30 papusas here. Food was awesome. Coming back to try everything on the menu. Everything was super fresh and flavorful.

Delicious, visually appealing, small taqueria in Waltham. This taqueria reminds me of favorite taquerias back in California. We ordered two burritos, beef and chicken. The flavors were excellent. The beef was slightly overcooked and was a bit tough, but flavored very well. The chicken was perfect. We're giving the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day. 4.5 stars for that (which can't be given, so it rounds to 5 stars). Service was friendly and fast. I'll definitely be back.

I drove 45min, waited 25min for a table and it was completely worth it. I never tasted such good pupusas. We tried sopes for the first time and it was our favorite dish. This is a small business and family owned so space is limited but very cozy. The service is very attentive and warm. I would love for them to sell their green sauce. They mentioned they make everything themselves, including the cheese. Wishing them the best!

The most incredible restaurant. The owner is so nice. Her artwork makes it feel happy and warm in the place. The food is to die for. Nothing comes close. Ask for the habanero salsa which they sometimes have. The chimichurri sauce is insane. The sopes and papusas are so flavorful. Everything is delicious.

Excellent food, great prices, good service. It's a small place so keep in mind if you have a bigger party.

Excellent food and service. Not the usual Mexican food and flavors. Low-key atmosphere and extraordinary food.

I woke up with a very specific craving for mochi, and my dear husband gave in and drove me 20…read moreminutes to Crystal Bakery. We ended up getting two strawberry cream mochi, one mango cream mochi, and the mango pomelo sago. The sago was definitely on the expensive side for the portion, but it absolutely hit the spot and satisfied the craving. The mochi was the real star. The outer layer was soft, chewy, and pillowy, while the filling was light, creamy, and not overly sweet. The strawberry cream mochi tasted fresh and delicate, and the mango version was rich, fruity, and refreshing. Each one felt like biting into a little cloud. The mango pomelo sago was creamy and packed with mango flavor, making for a nice contrast to the mochi. Not exactly an everyday treat given the prices, but for a special craving, it was worth the drive and I'd happily come back.

Confusing looooong menu. The menu isn't very user-friendly, so we went for a recommendation by…read moreanother yelper - get the fresh mochi they said. So we did. Fresh mochi with matcha cream and taro paste, rolled in butter crunch flakes. The order took more than a few minutes to get ready, and it's a little hard to know if your order is ready because there is no visual indicator (a screen displaying order numbers would be so helpful). The staff also wasn't the most careful with the way they were using gloves, they touched their face, the register etc etc. Plus the place is small without any seating so it can get crowded and you don't even know how much time for your order to be ready. But omg the mochi was spectacular. Soft chewy tasty not too sweet. Absolutely smacked it out of the park. A lot of points to improve upon but 5 star mochi.

the "incredible "bagel sandwich was absolutely the most disgusting breakfast sandwich I've ever…read morehad. The menu says fresh, healthy, etc. etc. the only thing fresh about that bagel was the avocado and maybe the egg. Pretty sure it was Oscar Meyer "bacon" or some other form of microwavable bacon (which isn't really bacon ). Which is totally unacceptable in this day and age. And the sweet sauce they put on it was horrendous. My stomach hurt the entire day. If you're not going to use quality bagels and quality bacon, you should not be charging almost $13 a sandwich. your menu should also list the ingredients line by line. I asked the cashier what was on this and he did not mention a disgusting sweet sauce. It's no wonder there's a line out the door for the café down the street and two people inside this café. Although I did not get anything else, but that sandwich, I will not be returning based on that alone. You should be ashamed for even serving that.

Everything I've tried here has been tasty. They have limited seating so I've seen it completely full if someone brings a larger group through the doorway. They have a bathroom that is keypad locked so if you've made a purchase just ask them for the #. The Hokkaido Toast sandwich was light and airy. The signature cream does make it on the sweeter side. It paired so well with the rose matcha latte which I've ordered twice now. The pastries and cakes look so tempting too in the display panels. I don't typically drink coffee but if I ever get there early enough I'll try the Crème Brûlée, Vienna Pistachio, or their signature latte. As a tea lover they also have some additional retail items for you to browse for tea steeping and gift sets. The only downside and maybe that's what makes it not as crazy busy on weekends as Tatte is that I want even more options. You can also order whole cakes too if one slice isn't enough. When it gets warmer I will try some of their smoothies and chilled drinks over ice!
