This was a great find in Concord! we didn't make a reservation and showed up at 1 PM on a Sunday. There was plenty of parking in the plaza where the restaurant is located. To start with my margarita was delicious. Chips and salsa were complimentary and really good. One of my friends had the pork belly tacos and mentioned that she liked the blue corn tortillas used. My other friend carne asada plate perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my camarones salseados and found their Mexican rice to be outstanding. As for the desserts - tres leches was amazing. The highlight were their churros. I am still thinking about those churros and will need to go back sooner rather than later to get them again. read more

I had the Pepefino cocktail at the Devens location 3 years ago and I have been THINKING ABOUT IT EVER SINCE. I got to enjoy it again at the Concord Location last week and it was worth every one of the fifteen dollars spent. The carnitas burrito was also delicious. The sauce was good, the meat was good, the red cabbage on top pleased me very much. It was incredibly mild which surprised me - I remember the food at the Devens location being a bit spicier than I was comfortable with. But all the flavors were wonderful. I did not mind that it was mild. I was very happy. My friend got the Carnitas bowl. and she was also happy with it but surprised how mild it was. But Carnitas is usually pretty mild. The inside of the restaurant was really nice too. It felt like a good night out. It can get pricy, but the flavors are all so good. Fully worth it. This is a nice location in a quiet area - feels different from the one in Devens which is near some hotels and has a party vibe. I'd go to either location and enjoy myself. This place had a good ambience! I loved the complimentary chips and salsa at the beginning and thought they were good but the meal fell a bit flat for me. The chicken in the enchiladas was really dry (this seemed to be a consistent issue among other dishes as well) and it felt like everything lacked cheese (even the quesadilla). The food wasn't bad by any means it just wasn't great. I would definitely try to come back and try a different dish like maybe the tacos or burritos and see how those measure up. Great service! First time visit on a busy Saturday night. Had a little mixup with reservations but was seated after a small wait. There's one large dining room and small room in back. Banquette against the walls and really comfy chairs for the other side which was greatly appreciated. Quickly served chips and a spicy salsa & cold water. Guac appetizer had a spicy tomato mixture on top and smooth creamy avocado below. It looks small but was actually very filling. Kids quesadilla had a fun presentation on wood plank and comes with rice , salsa, and sour cream. The burrito is gigantic!! The curtido (pickled cabbage slaw) on the burrito and chicken enchiladas have it a nice twang. A little disappointed the enchiladas didn't come with anything although the portion is large with 4 enchiladas. I ordered a side of rice and blacks beans which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Tacos come with 3 very filled blue corn tortillas and rice. The tortillas are made fresh daily! Had to do the churros which come out in this big wooden block cart with 3 types of dipping sauce. The churros themselves were warm and had the perfect mixture of sugar & cinnamon (maybe a hint of salt?) filled with Dulce de leche. The sauces are served cold and weren't my favorite but the kids liked them. All the sodas were $4.50 which was ok for the bottled drinks (Jarritos Mexican drink) but the regular Pepsi drinks seemed kind of expensive. The service was outstanding on all fronts. Our server was Friendly, checked back multiple times, food came out quickly and hot! as well as manger stopping by to make sure everything was good. The servers delivering chips and salsa and dessert were all great! Will definitely be back soon to try more! Plenty of parking as this shares a lot in a small strip mall. read more

Ate here on 2/13. Service was terrible- so slow we had to wait for food and drinks. We were barely through eating, because of the slow service, when we were asked to vacate the table. We were barely out the door when I realized i left my doggie bag on the table. I returned to get it and it was already discarded. The topper was when I received my credit card bill and the restaurant added additional money to the tip. Food is so-so. Surprisingly good Mexican food out here in Mass! Great house Margaritas with Chips, Guacamole and salsa to start. I had tacos Al Pastor and my wife had Chicken Empanadas with Mole Poblana sauce that were both great. We would order all the same again. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet and made our stay very nice. The service and food preparation was very quick. The atmosphere and seating was also very nice. This new location in Concord does not disappoint. The Bandoleros in Devens was my first Tacos spot that I enjoyed the most especially when I first moved to MA. It reminded me of my home town tacos spots in NJ(JerseyCity /Elizabeth) and it always hits the spot. Cocktails menu brings a nice class to the place and serving sizes will not leave you hanging for more. I really wanted to like this place more, but I can't give it more than 3 stars. First of all, our waitress took our orders - and then told us that ALL the cooks were in a meeting with management, and all orders would be delayed (with no ETA). Hey, I understand an all-staff mtg is important, and mid-afternoon might make the most sense, but then CLOSE the restaurant during that time! Don't take our orders, and then alert us that there are literally NO cooks in the kitchen for an undetermined amount of time. Some of us loved our meals (specifically the quesadilla), but I had the driest, most flavorless carnitas tacos I've ever had - the tortillas themselves were inedible :-( And my kid ordered 2 kids' meals (he was hungry), and both came with a huge am't of fries - I wish there would've been some warning about this on the menu (or a heads-up from the waitress), so we could've altered his order, or asked for a substitution. I like supporting small businesses & local owners, but I don't think I'll be returning next time I'm in the area. read more

Wonderful Mexican restaurant featuring traditional fare like tacos, tamalitos, Oaxacan queso fundido, enchiladas alongside some Tex-Mex favorites like fajitas. Delicious chile de arbol hot sauces, that you need to ask for specifically (not on menu). Margaritas were good and they had perfectly flavored black beans and rice. Also good for a large group or a party with a festively decorated space. I have been 3 times now, but definitely plan to return soon to try other menu items. As someone who grew up in concord and then lived 8 years in Los Angeles, this is a truly welcome addition to a fairly barren food scene locally. The owner is a friendly guy who grew up in Mexico and has lots of restaurant experience. The menu is extensive and unique, the food and ingredients are delicious and fresh. Now open! First time dining at the new restaurant in Concord. We were impressed. Our server was great and very attentive. The owner came by to say hello and check how everything was. We had the cheese dip, kids cheese quesadillas, chimichangas, burrito bowl, the margarita, and diablito. Everything was came out quickly and tasted great. The drinks were clearly homemade and fresh. After seeing the rave reviews on here, I was really optimistic about eating here. I have to say, I was a bit underwhelmed. We were sat pretty quickly, which seemed pretty lucky for a Saturday night, as it was packed. After we were sat, it took a while for our waitress to get to our table - it was a busy night for the restaurant so I didn't take too much offense to that. Our waitress took our drink orders, which took a while to get to us, but, once again, they were slammed. That's fine. Once back, our waitress took our orders and didn't write anything down. Normally I don't care about this, but once the food got to us, one of the orders was wrong (completely different item), which we had to send back. The corrected order did seem to be expedited, and was at our table in short order. Once we got the bill, it did look like the order was entered wrong. Oh well, stuff happens. The food, well, to be honest, I didn't really think much of it. I had the fish tacos and they were good, not great. The food felt like it was lacking some big flavors. I expected a restaurant that touted a "true taste of Mexico" to have a lot more vibrant cuisine. It was fresh and didn't taste bad, but felt like it could have been more. Once again, it wasn't bad, but a bit disappointing considering everyone else's experiences. I guess maybe they curtail the authenticity to appease the clientele of a New England town. Or maybe I had to be a bit more imbibed. Overall, the food was decent, the service was a bit lacking (once again, they were slammed, so I will give them a pass on timing). Agree with one of the other reviewers that this establishment started out great but things seem to have been changing recently. Food is still good but have been noticing subtle changes in food prep and taste. Recently, my wife and I went in on a weeknight. We arrived at 8:30 pm. At 8:45, they started cleaning and mopping for closing. This kept up all through the meal. We finished eating at 9:30 and our server asked if we wanted dessert or drinks. We would have happily ordered, but were made to feel so uncomfortable that we declined and left immediately. During the meal, my wife actually had to move her plate to the other side of the table and wouldn't finish because they were using a broom to sweep the floor right by our table, with dust and debris flying. Not a good experience. If you state you are open until 10 pm, then customers should feel welcome until then, and you don't start mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, etc. more than an hour before closing. Patrons paying good money should not have to endure such an uncomfortable dining experience. read more

The service has always been great and the food as well. However, my last visit to the restaurant, I had multiple cups of coffee (which in the past they never charged per cup). I charged for each cup and not told about it, which was upsetting. They have started to charge for all kinds of things, which quite frankly, they should let the customer know in advance. read more

Had a great dinner here - so glad to welcome this restaurant to the area! Finally something that's not Italian or American - and has delicious veggie options in addition to all the traditional meat ones. We enjoyed the guac and the complimentary salsa was way better than the traditional free salsa and chips. My veggie quesadilla was great and included many different types of veggies - way better than the sad green pepper and onion you usually see. Our friend had a pork torta sandwich which he very much enjoyed and it was huge! We had the churros for desert and on top of being delicious it served in a little cart - very cute! Best Mexican in Concord. If you're torn between this place and Adelita's, I'd go here. It's not cheap, but also not overly priced given that Concord is an expensive town. The Chimichanga is my favorite dish; it's one of the best I've anywhere. The food variety is much better here than Adelita's, though the drink selection is slightly worse with the exception of some of their really unique cocktails. This place feels new, because it is. It doesn't have an excessive amount of character, but it's a clean and relaxing place to eat. Being at street level, you sometimes get glare from headlights of passing cars. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of if you're sitting near the window. The service is good and has gotten better since the place opened a few months ago. Bandoleros might be new, but it's quickly established itself as one of my favorite restaurants in Concord, a town that has historically lacked a lot of good places to eat out. read more
